Nice video man. I love getting around on the HSR, just enjoyed a four day trip from Shenzhen up to Chenzhou in Hunan, about 350km north and two hours on the train. The speed, reliability and long running times open up a lot of possibilities, for example I was able to enjoy a full day in the mountains before dropping my rental car at the shop just next to the HSR station, grabbing a bite to eat, then boarding my train to arrive back to my apartment around midnight, ready to work the next day. This definitely beats the experience available by flying (at least in China, where security can take a while and evening flights are often delayed) and it was extremely affordable as well at about 250 RMB one way. Good to know the sleepers are running. I imagine the ride is smooth enough that I could sleep pretty well on one of those. Looking at the schedule it seems the overnight sleepers are already not just running on Friday and Saturday. They're running every day through the May Day holiday, and it Lola's like Thursday to Monday after that (though with only two weeks visible it's hard to be sure). Happy holiday!

Thanks for sharing your special C train experience. I just flew Shanghai from Hong Kong last week. My flight from HKG to Shanghai was 11.55am. I need to head off to Hong Kong airport at 9am, checked in 2 hours before take off, flights, go through customs and luggage claim at arrival and travel from airport to Shanghai downtown ( I took the Maglev train which connects Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Longyang Road Station in the outskirts of central Pudong). It took 8 hours at least in total. My plane ticket costs 2 times of this sleeper train(Return). Next time I will definitely consider taking the sleeper train, considering the time cost and price. It would be a cool experience for my sons too. Thanks for sharing. Wish you having a good one in Shanghai!
There’re also high speed train which is G series from Hk to Shanghai, which costs about 900 yuan rmb and 8 hours to get the destination . I always take bullet train at shenzhen North station to my home town. Nice to see it here❤❤
Super❤❤❤
This train really is amazing 👏 i wish we had some of those in USA 🇺🇸
So cool!
Thanks for the interesting video. I have been on the trains but not on a sleeper train yet.
Great one. High(er) speed sleeper trains would boost night rail travel to a very different level. Would love to explore the Chinese trains.
Good to know they have sleepers on the high speed trains now before it was only on the slow green trains.
However the two stations (West Kowloon Station, Hong Kong and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station) are closer to the downtown areas of the two cities than the airports. And more important, u can use your phone and stand or walk at anytime u want!
Amazing.❤
