pls pls help me! I've successfully installed Arcadia but when i load it up i get a message that say's "ARCropolis config file not detected! Please run Smash Ultimate with Arcropolis set up!" I merged the arcropolis atmosphere folder with the atmosphere folder on the root of my SD card as instructed and have the .nro, but it still doesn't work... Any ideas? Thank you
i recommend watching manitos smash mod tutorial. i followed his instructions and was able to mod my switch. love the videos, enjoy hacking your switch :)
Tank from Left 4 Dead on DK, Hugh Neutron on Little Mac, Bully Maguire on Joker, Shaggy on Captain Falcon, Jotaro Kujo on Terry, ERROR on Puff, Dank Deedede skin, PS1 Hagrid on K. Rool, and Mario in a wheelchair are just some of my favorite mods. All can be found on gamebanana. Quick note. You don't have to ever remove your sd card from your switch to add mods. Keep your switch sleeping, and boot to payload and find "usb tools". You can just plug in your switch to your computer and add the mods in that way. You don't have to use that tegrarcm every time. I also highly recommend adding only a couple mods in at a time. Some mods like to discriminate other mods that SHOULD have nothing to do with them. Like "Mario Teaches Typing" on PacMan has conflicting problems with Bully Maguire on Joker. I haven't figured what was wrong yet, and gamebanana is sketchy when it comes to adblockers. I made an account, and it bricked the website for me.

My OLED was patched, but then remembered that i still have my 7 year old switch that is still running well surprisingly and tested if it was patched or not and it wasn't. now I just need a new MC card

I know I'm super late, but I really need some help! Everything goes perfectly until I get to the first hekate injection. My screen doesn't look quite like how it's supposed to after that. Instead of 5 or so lines, it just says "Failed to init or mount SD! Press any key." Then when I go on to the next step and inject hekate a second time, that initial hetake loading screen think shows up for like half a second and then goes to black. Any idea what's going on? I've been trying to get this for so long and just want it done.
To fix this, I went to Hekate's original download page, downloaded their source code. Added the bootloader directly to the sd root, so it merged with the other bootloader. That fixed my problem
I followed every step perfectly My switch isnt patched, I download all current versions of the files I needed, formatted my microSD to Fat32, and injected all my payloads correctly. Im so confused (The only thing I think it is that's causing it not to work is when I do the 1st hakate payload I get 2 lines of text instead of 5)

I'm having a problem to when I get to the final step at 12:57 It doesn't boot up like normally, instead it takes me to the Hekate startup screen and my mods don't appear for the game, someone plz help.
Exactly my problem now, it does not boot up normally. It boots up the hacked menu and when I select the options he does earlier in the video it brings me to the normal switch screen. When I boot up smash I get no modded message and it also doesn’t take any extra time to load. When u go to the character select screen none of the the mods I installed are there. I have tried this process several time and it’s always the same. I just need confirmation that this still works
it worked until doing the second tegra payload again at 09:55 when it was supposed to say Hekate on the switch it didnt on my switch and said "Failed to mount SD" , i saw you had more folders than i had on the sd card called "atmosphere" and "ultimate" so i downloaded it added it and now every time i try to inject any payload Tegra instantly crashes, and reopening it doesnt solve the problem :/ In the hekate menu it also says "Nyx is missing" but i dont know if thats the problem

I followed all the steps and the mods just don't load. The only mod I got to work was the training mode mod from the homebrew store. I don't get any message for ARCopolis in Ultimate. i'm stumped and really don't know what else to try, every tutorial doesn't seem to work for me. edit: I figured it out, if this is your first time trying to run mods for Smash Ultimate like me? You have to enable your mods by selecting the eshop icon on the main menu of Smash Ultimate not the Switch's home menu. Then your game will reboot(it may take a while and will freeze but let it do its thing it's working), now you can enjoy your mods. I hope this helps out anyone else who's had the same problem like I did.

In terms of save data? Is it a case of you just insert the modded SD card whenever you’d like to play smash bros. And for most other games you go back to the old one? Or do you just copy all of the contents of the modded SD card to the one you use anyway?

Were you using a 64 Gigabyte micro sd card? Because if so you are not able to format the card into FAT32 which requires a 32 gigabyte or less micro sd card. I would know since this happened to me before so I got a 32 gigabyte one and it worked.
hi for some odd reason i followed the steps on how to download arcopolis but it doesn't want to load at all :/ the first time it worked but then my switch itself just turned itself off...not even allowing me to check what the issue was it popped out of no where, now i retried again to see if maybe the issue error message will tell me what went wrong but nothing...the game just loads in but it won't show none of the mods that i had downloaded at all :/...i even went to delete my arcopolis files, downloaded the latest ones that are on the github which consists of two folders 'arcropolis' and 'skyline' - that's it and it still doesn't want to load any of the mods i downloaded sadly. any help would be nice

Hi there. Need sum help here. So i just got back from trying to mod my switch for smash Bros and i feel like i just hit a wall near the end of a journey. I was going step by step with this tutorial. I even got the switch to recovery mode easily and consistently with ten foil and a joycon. All i'm missing is to get my smash mods too run. Cuz even after going through the tutorial twice now i'm still playing vanilla smash Bros. All of the mods i downloaded are mostly (if not only) skins for the characters and Visual changes to the menu. it's general only wifi friendly cosmetic mods that i'm trying to get working. What should i do?

Hello. I have everything in the video working, with the only exception being the mods in Smash Bros. Nothing I've added seems to load in the game. I have the new apps available in the Album, which means the micoSD is inserted, I'm not sure where the mix up here is. It's formatted to FAT32, but it's a 64GB, not sure if that matters. Based on those symptoms, what does this sound like? Do I have to run one of the applications in the album to load the mods from the SD card?
Sorry for the rapid posting. I held down power and home button for 30 seconds and it came on. I'm a little discouraged from doing smash mods at the moment, but I'm still interested in knowing if there's anything in particular that I did wrong? The Album lead to the screen with all of the apps. I had the ultimate folder at the root, then mods, both lowercase, no spaces, and I had two mods I wanted to try out. I never got the Smash update screen mentioned in this video upon loading smash with the microsd in the switch. This made me think Arcopolis was incorrect or something, so I re-installed it and replaced the files, then booted it up, no mods, turned it off, and I thought it was bricked since it wouldn't turn on and the computer didn't recognize it when it was plugged in. I'd like to know if there's anything else I can do to load mods. Or if there is something obvious I am missing
Everything goes well till I get to 10 minutes into the video. My switch boots up the hekate logo, then it fades to black and suddenly I just have a black screen, no menu. Any workarounds for this?
I think my answer will be a little bit late but you can't format a storage device with more than 32GB with the windows format tools. For formatting Storage devices more than 32GB you need to use 3rd-Party-Tools.
My prefix was XAW1 and the first part of my 6 digit was 00 so I accidentally put XAW1100 and it was patched but I realized and put it in correctly and it was not patched

subs modding for me doesn't work because my serial letters aren't there and I don't know what to do, and if I try all of them it says it is patched so I can't mod :/
Do you really just extract the files onto the sd card put it in switch and inject the payload. None of the mods I put on the sd are showing up. Like you don’t have to arrange the files at all? Just put them in the mods folder that’s in the smash folder on the sd card?
i did the RCM part and it worked but when i tried to inject hekate it came up for a second then turned off then i couldn't get it to go into RCM anymore. Please help
I would have to assume this is just a regional inconsistency, but my switch's prefix is XKW4 which I don't see on there. I used XAW4 because that was the closest and worst comes to worst I factory reset.
I got the message to apply mods when starting the game and i can even see the mods in the ARCropolis mod manager but when i go to a game none of the mods are there anyone know why this is?
Hey so everything worked except for getting the mods to run. I added all the extracted files to the mods folder, put the sd card back in the switch and injected hekate again, launched it the same way you did earlier. The files on my album are still there but when I launch smash it doesn't give me the arcropolis notification and launches normally, please help!

I would like to make my own modpack with custom fighters and stages. Even some cutscenes and new modes.

This made me think Arcopolis was incorrect or something, so I re-installed it and replaced the files, then booted it up, no mods, turned it off, and I thought it was bricked since it wouldn't turn on and the computer didn't recognize it when it was plugged in.
I'd like to know if there's anything else I can do to load mods. Or if there is something obvious I am missing

you won't be able to load into the hack and play on the mods if you use 2 different SD cards, you don't gotta format it tho. i didn't format mine

Everything goes well till I get to 10 minutes into the video. My switch boots up the hekate logo, then it fades to black and suddenly I just have a black screen, no menu. Any workarounds for this?
When formatting the microSD card my only options are exFAT and NTFS. Will either of these work for the modding process?

Well a fix for this is to get a 32 gigabyte sd card as anything above it may not work from a previous expierience.
I think my answer will be a little bit late but you can't format a storage device with more than 32GB with the windows format tools. For formatting Storage devices more than 32GB you need to use 3rd-Party-Tools.
acropolis zip doesn't have an "atmosphere" anymore but instead "ARCropolis-3.0.0" do I just drag that into the sd card?
My prefix was XAW1 and the first part of my 6 digit was 00 so I accidentally put XAW1100 and it was patched but I realized and put it in correctly and it was not patched

I followed all of the steps but my mods wont work, I checked in the mod manager and it recognizes everything that I downloaded but nothing will load

subs modding for me doesn't work because my serial letters aren't there and I don't know what to do, and if I try all of them it says it is patched so I can't mod :/
Do you really just extract the files onto the sd card put it in switch and inject the payload. None of the mods I put on the sd are showing up. Like you don’t have to arrange the files at all? Just put them in the mods folder that’s in the smash folder on the sd card?
i did the RCM part and it worked but when i tried to inject hekate it came up for a second then turned off then i couldn't get it to go into RCM anymore. Please help

I would have to assume this is just a regional inconsistency, but my switch's prefix is XKW4 which I don't see on there. I used XAW4 because that was the closest and worst comes to worst I factory reset.

Hey so everything worked except for getting the mods to run. I added all the extracted files to the mods folder, put the sd card back in the switch and injected hekate again, launched it the same way you did earlier. The files on my album are still there but when I launch smash it doesn't give me the arcropolis notification and launches normally, please help!
Does ultimate need to be downloaded on the same sd card or can it be on the switch itself?
