I bought the radio blue finish from this run literally days after they released and mine was in such a sorry state. Frets weren't even close to level, therefore i couldnt get the Floyd low enough. The Floyd itself had worn knife edges from being adjusted under tension at the factory, mostly dead neck volume control, cold solder joint on the ground wire to the claw, broken locking nut mounting screw. Just sad for it to show up this way.
so you gota lemon then you retun it thats what the warrantys are for i never mess with shit when its under warranty other then stuff i know i can without messing up my warranty ,
@@KevinMillard68 Yeah that's fair, but the sad thing is, this isn't the only one that's had these issues. Many of the ones I've played at local GC are exactly the same, as well as the few new Strikers I've played. Now I've done a ton of work to that guitar so I'm not really too upset, as I had planned to change a bunch of stuff on it anyway and I now have and it's great, but a new guitar shouldn't be this way in my opinion. It honestly was a bit of a let down
I love mine. I have a Scarlet Red lefty. The only thing I had to have done were the fret edges were sharp and for the money it is a great rock machine.
How do you get these metal chrome knobs off? I tried pulling the knob, it's really on there. Don't really want to damage the pot. No set screw. Excellent video, thanks for sharing
frets are frets could have been refretted who knows but you can always put on what ever frets you want if you dont like what it has thats the beauty of working on your own gear make it yours if you want to i had no problems with the frets my self on mine
floyds are not for beginners thats for sure, i know my first floyd back int he 80s i hated it so bad and the guitar was like 700.00 i was not happy but after almost 30+ years i thought ok lets try again so i started with a jackson js32 and it was a bit different will say little tricky more of courser thread so touchy but i got used to it the dials on this one tho are metric and very smooth and man this thing and take some slaming and stay in tune how ever that being said i dont play it as mich as i do my other guitar that are hardtails i have the baretta special as well the wammy system does suck bad its no floyd but use it as a hardtail is ok tho and its a nice player for a single pup and man its a hot one to really hi output but nice at the same time. the biggest pain the ass with a floyd is when you want to use a d-tuner device you can make it work on a floater but they are ment for floyds that are decked this way you only get to divebomb only but then again EVH never used a floating floyd they are a real pain in the ass but once you get used to them they are really good just takes time and pratice and getting used to it all
I put lemon oil on a lightly finished, Squier Maple neck/fingerboard........Well.......It has an interesting "golden hue" to it now...hahaha.....I actually don't mind it. It goes with the gold pickguard....BUT....For those that do NOT want to change the look of here Maple necks. Do try to keep lemon oil away. Cheers!
@@KevinMillard68 Hahaha....Yeah, well I learned that the hard way....and yet???....It really doesn't look that bad. But it certainly changed colour, thats for sure.
Mine (Emerald green vintage classic) has a badly installed treble bleed. Really sucks the tone when I roll the volume back. Anyone else experiencing this?
its decent guitar and decent floyd for the price the guitar is good putting a detuner on and getting it to work right as a full floater is tricky but i managed to do it
The floyd special is made out of a softer zinc alloy, it doesn't sustain as well it strips very easy if you over tighten the screws, the finish wore off of mine in about a month from just my hand sitting on it. This came on a schecter omen extreme, which other than the Floyd special was an awesome guitar for the price. Another issue with the special is that the knife edges are soft and after you beat this thing to death playing for only about a week it just will not return to zero and come back in tune if you have it floating I got a piece of mahogany and block it as it was my mean guitarthat I used when playing in a band so why I couldn't do the flutter thing which I love to do at least if I broke a string it didn't go all out of whack and it did come back in tune as I tighten the springs to pull it back against the block.

@@KevinMillard68 Yes sir, you have a point there. Thank you. 😁🎸
That is a ridiculously beautiful color.
thanks i love it
I saw one recently at a guitar center. I thought the frets were pretty narrow...it was the blue model.

I got the Baretta special, wasn't too keen on getting the Floyd rose, they seem to be a lot of work.

a shame the only include a lower grade floyd, but I guess they cant offer a harley benton price quality ratio yet
you dont get the good stuff unless you pay the big price tag
From looking at the plate in the picture of the one I ordered it has the floyd special , I have a special on my Jackson SLX soloist and it’s very good

you never ever put oil or any chemicial on a maple fretboard not a good move as it can wreck the finish realy bad. learn as you go tho

$379 in usa...this guitar has a Floyd rose special. NOT AS GOOD as a original Floyd or a 1000...
