Haha, yeah. You're right that I almost always wore gloves before. I still do wear them alot for working with chemicals and on some steps of terrarium builds, and I usually wear them when working with plants / substrates, planting things, and for plants that I think might cause skin reactions. One of the reasons I also like to wear gloves in my videos is that I don't like how my hands look in close up shots. I am not sure why I went gloveless this time.

How do you come across so many interesting ferns, I can look on eBay and not find any of the tropical ferns, nice collection, its cool to see some one that has a interest in even the smallest of plants, most of us go for the biggest fulls plants, but not you, you find some no one really thinks about, have you thought about making a DIY swamp cooler before? You make them for highland species nepenthes, to get them more cold at night

I've never made a cooler but some day I would like to, since there are a lot of cool-growing plants I wish I could grow.

where do you purchase your bryophytes from? Im in southern california so there isnt too much outside for me to collect and I cant seem to find any stores online that have very many options

I'm in a minority group who are against wild collecting mosses in large quantities / against buying poached moss (which is basically 99% of all moss online). Not to mention, they are mostly temperate species which don't do as well in humid terraria as tropical ones. Anyway, TLDR is that it's best to get tropical / subtropical mosses from 1. aquarium stores, 2. hobbyists in the vivarium niche, 3. naturally from tropical plant substrates, mounts, etc.
Where did you get that Peperomia crotolophora?! I have about 40 species of peps but I've never seen that one before. It's 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.
Hi! I got it from a friend in a trade. My best resource for getting plants is building up a network of friends with similar interests. :)
Also I just realized I spelled it wrong in my video description. It's crotalophora. I've updated it. Also I can't confirm for sure if that's the right ID, but it definitely could be.

crotalophora isn't rare, so it shouldn't be too hard to get. Post in some vivarium groups on FB and someone might have it

What's the material in the cork at 5:30? Looks like it has similar properties to epiweb.
It's cheap spacer mesh from Amazon. I did it to help equalize the moisture across the height of the substrate, and to allow some air in to slow the decay of the cork
