      Thanks man! You should do a video about your grow tent! Unless you already have, in which case I'll have to check it out.

    I'm pretty excited about the clay substrate video! I've experimented a little with it, but having a better recipe would be helpful :D

    I really like those terraria! Good job. I have a few branches that when put together look like one of those awesome rainforest root structures! I'm excited to get to work on that terrarium. I have two ten gallon aquariums which I will turn into vertical terrariums, one will be that rainforest root structure mentioned above. But the other will be a mainly plant based scape, and the background is comprised of two pieces of highly detailed driftwood. Best of luck with new projects!

    Loving this content man, that clay substrate mix is called 'Muck' in the bonsai world and is used like a retaining wall for ishitsuki settings, its like elmers glue for moss as well so I'm looking for to your take on that as well as that amazing new terrarium build. Regards from Australia!

    Lately, I have been trying to propagate my elatostemas; such a shame that a genus containing a number of very interesting foliage plants remain so underrepresented in collections for so very long.

    that elatostema!!!! i've been hunting for one all year.. would really love more info/updates on this plant's care as you go forward, if possible (and hey, maybe a nudge in the right direction to buy one.... wink wonk). loving your videos; they have a level of detail i haven't found anywhere else!

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you so much for watching and commenting. It's great to hear that you appreciate the detail I go into things, because sometimes I'm afraid I am too detailed and bore people. But being detailed is just who I am, so I roll with it. I have a page on my site for the Elatostema which talks about how I grow it. www.anotherworldterraria.com/plants/elatostema-sp-china/

      @@AnotherWorldTerraria wonderful, thanks so much! this is honestly the only info on this plant i've seen *anywhere* so i really appreciate it. currently working my way through every single one of your videos; the detail is so important for newbie plant people like myself - a lot of that stuff gets left out of most other youtubers' videos on the assumption that the viewer already knows it all. looking forward to learning more!

    Looking forward to the video on the clay substrate!
    Any chance that moss at 5:09 (on the right) is from Indonesia? It looks really similar to a species I've been trying to grow (with limited success).

      The one on the hanging mount? It's one that grows pretty much everywhere, I am not sure where it came from.

    I had used "hobby" clay a lot of times for planting, but I can never find the red one where I live. It's just brown clay, I think the red one have more iron in it, but does the brown works as well as the red in a terrarium like yours?

    • @voltix9711
      @voltix9711 3 роки тому +3

      I am making a guess, but you might be able to make some of the red clay yourself. The way most people do it is to grind up those clay cat litter substrates, and add water to make a clay consistency. You could either do that and find a red cat litter mix or the easier way - get a bag of hydroton (clay drainage pellets) Which most of them are red. You could grind up these pellets and pretend that they are the cat litter, since they are both made of clay. There are some vids on UA-cam, I think mike tytula has a vid on it.

      Matthew, My big Buce growbox starts to mold a second time. Already did a restart. I don't know what to do >.< can I email you pictures? Maybe you got an idea. My whole collection is in Danger. Grew them big for an upcoming project in April. Thanks bro! Cheers, Chris.

    I have the same Sonerila sp. as you. Any advice how to get it to bloom? And is there any literature you suggest me to read?

    • @AnotherWorldTerraria
      @AnotherWorldTerraria  3 роки тому +1

      No literature or references, but you can learn how I grow most of my plants be watching everything in this playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLQNZbIPMHMsFtfOGTDJ05FaiDdNTNDwtI.html
      If you follow pretty much everything there, you should be good to go. If it's growing well now but not blooming, then either 1. give it more time, or 2. try changing the conditions, substrate, or giving it fertilizer if you have not yet done that. Good luck!
