Dear Sean..Alvin is an incredible person..his begonias are amazing i AM very fond of them and i'm really atonished.. congratulations for Alvin and for You..i'm discovering a new world full of amazing begonias
Thank you. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to travel and to meet passionate people like Alvin. And of course, a curious audience like yourself as well 💌
Alvin is a treasure of plant knowledge! Love the focus on Begonias, Primulinas and other genuses. Thanks, Sean, for posting the botanical names and the native habitats. Your plant videos never fail to impress me!
Thank you, Alvin definitely helped set the bar high for the channel. I will have to keep the quality high like this moving forward. He is such an inspiration
Very beautiful and professional video. I also enjoyed the timer sound when we’re waiting for Alvin to recall the word he was thinking of, haha, clever and fun. You’re becoming quite the producer Sean, amazing video!
Another amazing plant tour. I have a few varieties of Primulina and several varieties of Begonias so this was very interesting for me. Would love ve some of Alvin's collections.
so awesome that you were able to meet Alvin to share so many weird and unknown begonia...going to need to rewatch this with high quality resolution...thnx Shawn
Such very beautiful begonias and other plants. I love begonias and need to research them so I can keep more of them alive. I like the idea of keeping the begonias in self watering conditions.
ABSOLUTELY FASINATING..... The Begonias alone are mind blowing......if we did'nt have cameras it would be almost impossible to describe each one with words. THANKS SEAN 🙏🙏🙏 🌸🍀🏵 Another onlyplants video saved to playlist 👍
Impressive collection! The begonias of Vietnam are on a different level! My favorite though was Pavonina from Malaysia. Lanyu is actually the only island in Taiwan where an Austronesian language belonging to the Malayo-Polynesian branch is spoken. The Austronesian languages spoken in the main island of Vietnam are classified in the Formosan branch. The native inhabitants of Lanyu are very closely related to the Ivatan tribe of the Batanes Islands in the Philippines.
Oh wow, I always thought I wasn't a fan of begonias, but this video may well have changed that! So many beautiful species, the diversity is fascinating!
I really enjoyed this. I used to grow most of the Gesneriads at one time but now find they are not so readily available as they used to be. I see mostly African Violets in the stores.
@@onlyplants It has been exported to oversea many years ago, and there is a similar species P. hastata which is native to mainland China, Japan, and Korea Peninsula. No idea haha
@onlyplants I discovered them just before the pandemic. I was out searching for low sunlight plants because of the quality of light I have in my garden. My uncle's farm is just outside the jungle, and I ended up going home with just enough room in the truck for me. It was very hard to drive. LOL
Great job Alvin 😊
And Sean you too 😊
Thank you 💌
I loved this episode. I am in love with begonias right now so it was a treat to hear his commentary and knowledge.
Yaye 😀

I think we have to find begonias that suit our environment. I’ve learnt that some of them simply cannot take our environment well
Tremendous amount of begonia! Love it so much! Begonias are one of my first love plants. We have a love and hate relationship 😂
