The option to close the sun screen during parking is a cool one. Also the option to add/remove /arrange the shortcuts in the drop down menu.
Agreed! There are many, many cool things about this car that I actually could make a part 2.. 😆👍🏻

@@leeburkitt1442 Hi! I really enjoyed having the Lynk. The drive was smooth, sound system was great and incredible electric range. The subscription here in the Netherlands got quite expensive though (in combination with high electricity prices at the time) which made me switch after 6 months to an Audi A3 limousine. Honestly liked the Lynk better so I'd definitely recommend!
Hi Thom, and congratulations on your new car. I am Spanish and I also have a 01; and I am very happy with that. Two more tips for all of you related to side mirrors:
1. If you press the left and right buttons simultaneously, the mirrors will retract.
2. If you press one of the buttons twice, the corresponding mirror will look down, which can be very useful when parking next to a kerbstone.
As I said, I am absolutely delighted with the car but there are two issues that concern me:
- Don't you have problems with the communication between the application on the mobile and the car?
- Do you know exactly what the insurance terms are? Does a €500 deductible (or management fee) sound to you?
Thanks for the additional tips! Yes I do have a poor communication with the app and car, also the functionality is not that good yet. Updates will come! I'm not sure actually about the specific terms, I did read the contract but can't find it that quick at this moment. Suggest to email L&C with the questions, they should be able to answer easily. Management fees are included for all the administration L&C has to do for you e.g. fines, damages etc. Let's stay away from them... 😉 And perhaps somebody here can also help you out..
@@thom-lov Regarding the bad communication between the car and the app, today the Lynk & Co workers have collected my car to visit the workshop and carry out a software update that supposedly corrects all these types of problems. I will confirm if so.
And as for the management costs (at least here in Spain) in case of having to make use of the insurance, Lynk & Co charges a fee of €500 for each individual damage. What no one knows, or can not officially confirm, is whether this charge applies in all cases, that is, whether or not there is the opposite, or whoever is at fault for the accident. I have made the query through several channels, I hope that someone authorized can confirm it before having to use the insurance.
@@oryctes Hey! The insurance question is really interesting one since here in Italy the fee is (surprize, suprize) 1000€! Did you get any official answer meanwhile?
I contacted the support and here's the answer I got: if you buy or rent the car for more than a month, the fee is indeed 500€, otherwise is 1000. The fee is totally or partially returned to you based on who's at fault. For example if you have a car accident and you're at fault or you're DUI of alcohol or drugs the fee is not returned. If the accident is not you're fault or a hailstorm damages the car instead, the fee is completely returned by the insurance. That's what they said to me.

Do you know if and how you can adjust the brightness of the screens? When entering a tunnel or when it's dark outside, the screens dims way too much. Almost impossible to read or even see the speed you're doing.
hello, I've got a question.. in classic mode/theme. is it possible to get only in the middle the navigation? like the two circles and in the middle the navigation route? thanks

Dank! Zover ik weet is dat op dit moment helaas niet mogelijk, het dient dus echt als een 'selfie' camera. Terwijl het juist ideaal zou zijn als dashcam. Dat schijnt op de 01 in China wel zo te zijn. Voor nu helaas dus nog niet doorlopend opnemen voor ons...

Hi Tom, could you tell us how works the car hitch of the car . I mean ,Can we order a car and only ask for hitchball rental after ? Or do we need to ask for antoher car wich has the car hitch included ? Does every link&co01 have car hitch in base and onyl need to order the ball ? Thanks
Hi! You can spec the tow hook as an optional extra :-)
Mooie review...Tips en tricks mogen wat mij betreft nog wel uitgebreider. Werkt het midden display alleen maar in een zwarte of een witte achtergrond ?
Dank! Er komt nog wel een deel 2 vermoed ik 😎 Het midden display werkt zowel in het zwart als wit, net wat je fijn vindt dus. 👍🏻

Yes I did. Most of the times I open the charging hatch with the key indeed. Lol! 😂

yes you can
Hello, I was wondering if "Frank" can command the car, for instance the radio, the windows, the sun roof etc... You start to get this feature is an increasing number of cars.
Hi, yes you can use frank for voice commands regarding temperature, satnav, radio and such. Not for windows, opening/closing etc. It’s pretty basic still.
I'm also recently got my Lynk&co 01, in the morning when the rear mirrors are froggy, I was looking for mirror heating button but couldn't find it. Do you know if this is featured? Thanks.
Its included to the rear window defroster. Just left of the gearshifter! 😄
I’m on my way finishing all the procedures to get it this week and it is considered an expensive car in Middle East.. it is as expensive as Kia Sportage 2024 Do you recommend it after 2years of usage?? Your opinion is highly appreciated 🙏
Hi Tom, super interessante content maak je over deze geweldige auto! Ik ben er zelf ook enorm geïnteresseerd in, maar vroeg me af; is er al iets te zeggen over reëel verbruik bij 'normaal' woon-werk verkeer? (Wellicht is deze vraag al gesteld, maar kon er niets over vinden).
Bedankt Jeroen! 😃 De 01 doet m’n woon werk verkeer (62km voornamelijk snelweg) volledig op electra, behalve in de winter. Dan red ‘ie ongeveer 45km). Op benzine zit ik zo rond de 6.5/7l per 100km. Zonder Electra ondersteuning. Dit komt door de zuinig 3 cylinder turbo motor welke ook in de XC40 T2/3 zit. gemiddelde snelheid is zo rond de 105kmh dan. Eenmaal boven de 130 gaat ‘ie op 7.5l minstens zitten. Het is immers een zware PIH. Mocht je meer willen weten let me know! Nieuwe 01 video’s komen vanaf februari weer. 😄

Sadly not. Its fixed. Though quite comfortable for such a heavy car!
Dag Thom , vraag ? Ik moet binnen kort 600 km rijden ! Wat kan ik t beste gebruiken ( Duitsland ) voor zuinig rijden ? Gr B
Leuk! Ik zou m lekker in hybrid houden, dan bepaald de auto zelf wat op dat moment het meest efficiënt/zuinigste is. Al rijdend opladen kost veel benzine dus dat zou ik afraden en ‘gewoon’ laden waar mogelijk bij hotels, parkeerplaats etc. Goede reis!

Hi! Thats very unfortunate, perhaps a reset or so could fix this problem. Would suggest to have this done by your local service/dealer provider and also perhaps get the latest software while being there.. Hope you will have it solved soonest! :-)

Ik heb een vraag. Bij de Peugeot hybride plugin zal de benzinemotor aan gaan ondanks dat de elektrische motor is geselecteerd. Peugeot zegt dat dat is om de leidingen "schoon" te maken. Hoe zit dat met deze auto?
Hey Eric! Goede vraag. De benzine motor van de Lynk blijft uit wanneer deze ook niet nodig is, dit is dus ook eigenlijk bijna altijd. De motor zal wanneer nodig aanspringen (korte sprint, heuveltje op e.d.). De leidingen schoonmaken doet de 01 ook wanneer er lang niet getankt is om enigzins schoon te branden. Maar dat is dus ook echt pas na vele honderden KMS zonder te hebben getankt. Al met al slaat de motor van de 01 alleen pas aan als het ècht nodig is: niet vaak. 😉
@@thom-lov hey Thom. Bedankt voor je antwoord, ik was nl bang dat hij om de paar dagen op benzine ging rijden, en dan is het voordeel van de elektrische stand weg. Blij met je antwoord 👍
Hey Eric, geen probleem. Dat is zeker niet het geval, alleen wanneer extra systeem vermogen nodig is zal de 01 dit doen. In de pure stand kom je dus bv eenvoudig vol elektrisch retour naar werk, de supermarkt etc. Lekker e-rijden dus! 😉
