Hi Thom, great video as usual. I did a great hack to my XC40. I added cargo nets to the cavity cut outs in the boot. (Crying out for nets). Got the nets from Amazon and used black plastic expanding toggles into pre drilled holes to hold in place. Looks like a factory addition but they don’t do it. If you give me an email I can post you pics. It looks amazing and now have space for umbrellas, shopping bag, picnic rug etc. keep up the great commentary. Chris from Sydney AUS

What happens if you are on the subscription and pay the total value of the car? Also what do you do of again your on subscription and want to hand the car back?

Where we live there are a lot of 60 km roads with one lane in the center. Passing a car traveling in the opposite direction, you have to just cross the interrupted line at the right side. I find lane assist will (quite aggressively) try to steer you back to the middle of the road, which is actually quite dangerous in this scenario.
For this reason we are trying to disable the lane assist, but somehow this gets reset every time we start the car. Do you know a way to disable it indefinitely?
Hey Ronald, unfortunately you cannot turn it off permanently. This has to do with 'safety'... Volvo being 30% owner of LC you can imagine the reasons behind it.. If you indicate before going over these lines the Lane keeping assist will 'allow' the move over so perhaps try that a bit more? :-) Cheers!

Thom, thank you for the videos really useful. Just got myself a 2021 Lynk&co 01. Trying to find my way through all the options. The use manual online is not very handy to search in. Hoped it would be in the app, like for Volvo. But unfortunately.

Hi Thom. I have a doubt/question. When you drive with regeneration mode B activated and release the accelerator pedal, do you know if the brake lights come on? 🤔 It can be a problem, because of the vehicles that circulate behind, don't you think?
Hey! Good question, you see 'random' breaking more and more often due to all the EVs with OPD and regenerative modes. What I've experienced so far is that with a little let go from the pedal it does not 'break' immediately but when you apply more pressure it (of course) does. Have a try with this on a dark road with no light, by looking in the mirror you can then see when they activate. 😉

Hey Clemens, that’s unfortunately not possible as far I am aware. You could look if there are any Volvo dealerships offering a 01, then you could trade a car in possibly. Make sure to contact LC just to check if it is possible directly, but as far I am aware it is not (yet).

Ik heb er gister één aangevraagd, echter kwam ik er achter dat er wordt vermeld dat je 3 jaar in bezit moet zijn van een rijbewijs en minimaal 21 moet zijn.
Ik zelf ben 20 en heb mijn rijbewijs nu 1,5 jaar, ik heb aantoonbaar ruim 80.000+ kilometers gereden in grotere & snellere auto's, deze krijg ik ook gewoon op mijn eigen naam verzekerd, ik heb geen schade gereden tussentijds, ik ben in bezit van een ruim & aantoonbaar goed inkomen dus in aanmerking komen voor een verzekering lijkt mij geen enkel probleem. Zelf werk ik bij een Leasemaatschappij en hier worden ook gewoon 18 jarige zonder rijervaring geaccepteerd in splinternieuwe auto's die duurder zijn dan een Lynk & Co. Ik heb dit voorgelegd bij Lynk & Co en ben benieuwd naar hun reactie! Heb jij wellicht een tip hoe ik dit zou kunnen regelen?
Ondertussen een Kia EV6 GT in bestelling staan.
@Ewa Feen Zeker, er is niets mogelijk en niemand wil me te woord staan hoezo niet. De verzekering partner niet, lynk niet en niemand wil er iets over kwijt. Achteraf wel blij met mijn keuze. Alleen nog ~ 6-7 maanden wachten op mijn EV6 GT.
@@robertocatsburg8049 gelft dit ook voor huisgenoten? Dst je drie jr rb moet hebben? Of alleen huurder? Ik vind dat niet terug.

EU specific. The 01 is available in EMEA as well as Asia too.
Hi Thom, I got a question. I've rented this car for a trip along the Alpenstrasse so, since I know nothing about this car the question is: can I leave it parked just using the gear selector in the parking mode as I always do with my automatic transmission car or I have to apply the hand break?
Hi Sergey, park is sufficient. You can always put the parking break on as addition on perhaps more steeper hills. But in general, Park will do just fine. Have a safe trip!

I was wondering if you have figured out how to get GPS directions from let's say google maps on the digital driver's display? I feel like it should be possible but haven't been able to figure out how...
Any ideas?
Sadly that’s not possible if you use google maps via CarPlay and such :-(
How easy it is to get in the car? Does one has to sit low? or it is good for young people with knee injury?
Very easy, it's positioned up high so no low seating position or such.

Nee, toen ik de 01 had was dat nog niet werkend. Wat ik hoor is dat het langzaamaan beter wordt maar dat kan ik niet bevestigen. In potentie een heel goed en nuttig idee. Maar moet wel waterdicht zijn/worden....

Ik probeer hem te lenen van iemand bij in de buurt maar de app doet het niet helaas. Alles geupload, gedeeld en gefotografeerd etc..maar ik krijg hem niet 'gehuurd' of 'geleend'.

Hey Thom, weet jij waarom de interieur lichten steeds uit gaan wanneer je rijdt? is dat normaal?
De instap verlichting gaat idd uit voor beter zicht e.d. Je kunt natuurlijk het lees lampje wel weer aanzetten. Sfeer verlichting blijft ook aan, hier kan je de intensiteit wel van aanpassen, misschien dat even controleren? 👌
@@thom-lov dankje wel Thom, hoe verander ik de intensiteit? Is dat gewoon bij interieur verlichting instelling?
@@antonionhoca9017 Even de instellingen checken idd, evt ook de 'scroller' links van het stuur omhoog draaien. 🙂
In China, there is a pure gas version with AWD. In Europe there are only the hybrids, which are only FWD. I think a lack of AWD in the hybrids is a big letdown.
The option for AWD would be nice indeed. On the other side, many use these kind of cars for mostly their daily commute and such so FWD is sufficient in that regard. 😊
@@thom-lov I personally don’t agree with the crossover SUV trend, cos most of them don’t have AWD.

Alleen als je de auto huurt dacht ik. De eigenaar heeft gewoon een sleutel nodig
Laden bij een laadpaal kan dat ook via een snellader of enkel via een 1fase aansluiting van 3,7kwh per uur?
Snelladen kan helaas niet. De systemen van de auto verwerken max 230 met 3.7kwh dus :-)
Does the software update menu work in your unit? Mine says something went wrong and cannot even check if my version is the latest.
This one states that it is up to date.. 🤔

@@DutchFocus I believe you can book it right away for Amsterdam. Some cities offer a test drive on location but you need to contact L&C for that. :-)
