I would like to become a proud and reserved martial arts apprentice whose only goal in life is to walk the path of the authentic warrior like Ryu. I WANT TO BE LIKE RYU.
It's crazy, this ending gives me more motivation to be the best in life than any motivational speaker i've heard. It's stupid but true. I think it's in it's simplicity.
Yes it’s one of those things that sticks with you. I think the reason why it’s so good is that it’s against mainstream culture of importance and significance. Rather than daily discipline and loving what you do.
Bruce Lee: The great mistake is to anticipate the outcome of the engagement; you ought not to be thinking of whether it ends in victory or defeat. Miyamoto Musashi: Think neither of victory nor of yourself but only of cutting and killing your enemy. Ryu embodies warrior mentality and its wisdom.
I will never forget the moment, when I was a child and finished the first time as Ryu, then saw this ending... I remember dropping a tear and staring at the waterfall scene...
This ending does have a sentimental tone to it, how Ryu continues to wander the world and find himself and his place. I'm like that at work, I don't care about becoming employee of the month or becoming the center of attention, in my own words "Respect from my colleagues means nothing, work is everything."
Alexander Roca good one buddy, got to earn a living and keep our jobs. Only outside of work have we got time to socialize or to reward ourselves with pleasure. They say don't mix business with pleasure, and I would agree with them, got to maintain your discipline!
@Finlay Gibbons lets just say I'm a hard working man who's just trying to keep a job and pay the bills. I am a cynic, but it all came with a result by being hurt by so many people. I've learnt that it's better to focus on me and try achieve my goals, kind of like Ryu.
I would like to become a proud and reserved martial arts apprentice whose only goal in life is to walk the path of the authentic warrior like Ryu. I WANT TO BE LIKE RYU.
Well he got 2nd place at Capcom Cup 2015 and showed 5 minutes later than Kazu, but i like to think it's the same because of that exact moment where everybody on the stage was looking for him while the commentator went ''Where is Daigo?''.
I'm looking back at this ending 10 years after first seeing it, and just realizing Ryu subconsciously influenced my life decisions. I was about to go down a high-income career path full of benefits but stopped myself. The intrinsic virtuous path where I make just enough to do what I love means more than the money. Find the process you enjoy. Find your "everything".

Sometimes, Being the champion isn't the victory. Sometimes, the victory isn't even winning. Does he believe in such a thing as victory to begin with? It is unknown, but one thing Is for sure: The answer to all his questions are laying in the heart...of battle.
Though Ken was my favourite, I have to admit that this is the best ending of them all. It shows that Ryu is not only a true warrior, but that he will never allow his journey to end.
Fun fact: Ryu’s character was inspired by the Kyokushin Karate founder, Mas Oyama. Ryu practicing the Shoryuken in the waterfall is inspired by Oyama’s seclusion training.
Now this song inspires me to never give up no matter how difficult life may get, there is always more work to be done and we should always strive to be better people. "The fight is everything."
Came here bc of the guy who showed up to an online SFV tournament as ‘RyuPlayer’, won, and didn’t say anything other than to have the prize money donated to a homeless center.
I wanna cry, when I listen this music, it remind me of my childhood when I was so in love of this game(I will be for ever with SMworld, Zelda 3, secret of mana, castlevania 4..)
So epic. Takes me back to a time of video rental stores and being a kid with no cares or worries. Seeing street fighter 2 and all the other classic retro games on the shelves.
This has always been my favorite ending since I first saw it as a kid. I take this one over the original arcade one any day. The music, the theme, all of it motivating. Even as an adult the words "The fight is everything" still ring true to me to this day and I love seeing him Shoryuken the waterfall. As I face a current court battle involving my ex and the money she owes me and the psychological damage she's done to my son. I watch this from time to time to keep me motivated because the fight IS everything. Everything I have done and continue to do, whether its setup my GoFundMe for financial assistance, to staying up late at night calming my son so he can sleep, its all worth it in the end. Like Ryu I don't care for a trophy, I want the strength to continue down the road and never look back. And when it comes time for us to reach the achievements we want, we are gonna keep training throughout life and my son will learn to be a fighter as much as be a man when he is ready. Never give up fighting and becoming better than you were...
It's funny when I beat this game with Ryu as a kid. I didn't understand why he walked away from his celebration. As an adult, I understand & that's why I gained respect for Ryu. Fun fact: Ryu is tattooed on me as part of my sleeve.
This was my dads favorite character and he beat the game a couple times and we have fun memories playing street fighter and when this song came on reminds me of my dad and when he goes and this ending is playing at his funeral ill be balling on the floor crying 😭
This is great and a lot to be learned ryu doesn’t care about trophy or a championship but being a better martial artist focused on the fight and getting better and better
