@@laeviga-sunstrider That's a great question. So far, I feel like SF6 has the best, most well-rounded Ryu of all SF games. I think this is the best version of this character, and if you know what to do with him, he's a beast. I suppose all characters will be broken this first season (as they were in SFV's 1st season), but hopefully, they won't nerf him too badly in SF6 later on. But so far, he really is a fantastic character to play. Many options to choose from, very well-rounded, and can deal massive damage, and, most importantly: so FUN to play. If I'm being honest, I think the characters who will shine the most in SF6 are the grapplers, and I think Zangief will wreck everything in his path. But through the carnage, I will still be maining Ryu. I've been trying him out since the second beta was released, and he def. brought his A-game. Can't wait for the Open Beta to hit in just 2 days! "This will be a good fight!"
My personal top 4 favorites version of Ryu's theme are: Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (3DO) Street Fighter 4 Super Smash Bros Street Fighter 5 But the best in my opinion is Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (3DO) and Street Fighter 5 theme. Those are two epic versions that, in my opinion, define Ryu himself, as an ultimate warrior.
Personally I think Smash has the best rendition of this theme. Maybe im just a sucker for Japanese sounding themes and it brings it along with it sounding retro.
It's not for nothing that the original composer of Street Fighter 2 made that song Only Yōko Shimomura knows what Ryu's and Vega's themes should sound like in Smash

The very best is xmen vs street fighter then you all can choose second picks. I mean this one has the combative spirit and calmness of Ryu and is more loyal to the original as it is an upgraded version of it.
You forgot the alternate themes, as in SFZ(A)3, MSHVSF, SF3/2nd Impact and 3rd Strike and maybe even SFEX (I didn’t play that series so I don’t know) Like them or not, they were Ryu themes and they were all really good.
My personal favorite is between sf4 smash bros and sfv because they each show what he means in multiple ways Sf4: oh yeah you know who it is, the legend Smash bros: welcoming the master martial artist to our crossover Sfv: The journey has taken many paths and trials but this is the ultimate victory against the satsui no hado.
