- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether any of the main bosses in elden ring can survive a battle against the strongest black blade kindred.
To test this I've chosen the strongest variation of the kindred which is Caelid's but equipped it with the twinblade since it's the strongest moveset variation. He has 12k hp and just over 100 poise but parts of his moveset seem to be broken and overpowered especially against bosses that have a larger hitbox.

I legitimately thought that Rennala was going to win for a change and it was jarring to see her get deleted in two swings. It’s was like a jump scare to see her health bar be halved when she was practically using the Black Blade Kindred as target practice.
Lmao ikr, I was shocked when she was about to win and then when he deleted her within 3 seconds I was like "ok, this makes sense"

The % hp this guy does is so insane, I found myself cheering for the other bosses in every fight
did over 19,000 damage to placi in like 2 seconds
He is just the kind of boss that no matter what level you are, he will destroy your healthbar is seconds if your not careful

I have fond memories of getting teleported to the temple at the end of Caelid in the first half of the game. I walked up to the Black Blade Kindred standing outside the temple thinking to myself "hmmm, this might just be doable with a site of grace right on the other side of the door", got instantly deleted by the black blade tornado and went "yeah, ok. I'll come back much later."
Forgot about hitting him once and not seeing his HP bar move down even by a milimeter.
I came back in ng+…we all deal with our problems in our own ways :)

Don't forget the awful placement with the stairs as well. And the terrain is also pretty bad to fight him, such a terrible spot.

Maliketh getting steamrolled phase 1 and then almost no hitting the rest of the fight is so badass tbh.

His damage output can be nuts if you aren't careful. He chunks your HP and it just keeps draining.
Black-Blade Kindred is strong, but he'll never surpass his master.
(Black-Blade Kindreds are servants of Maliketh, hence the "Black-Blade" title).
His subordinate was getting a little cocky, so he had to show em who's daddy
11:45 is the most cinematic thing I've ever seen in a video game, how the black blade kindred shrieked at the dragonlord before receiving his most powerful attack.

And then how he ends the fight waiting for the teleport to finish him off with 1 slash is amazing

That's not even in his top 3 attacks, let alone most powerful.
Is no one going to to mention Radagon's absolutely epic finish at 14:54? The way Kindred got staggered by the first strike, ate the second while still down and just barely stood up only to be hit by the third swing was perfect, and the way the Kindred perfectly fell on the center of the Elden ring was badass.

what do you expect? people seems already know that he's always be the real sigma boss in this game 😂His fight is always entertaining and badass
And immediately before that he was nearly killed by the cheeseball move, only to blink away like an anime character and counter reck the Kindred.
Honestly he would lose more times then not. Plus the boss that do DoT usually win anyways on these. If not for that they would definitely lose or it would be a better match. In this case the RNG on move set saved Radagon

I have never seen anyone ending Phase 1 Rykard so fast, that was BEAUTIFUL

Jokes aside somethings really off with it. Must be some kind of bleed dog issue since it only seems to affect bosses with larger hitboxes that possibly register more hits than they should. That damage is cool but totally unjustified lol
@@BjornTheBear Maybe it scales with overall health pool of the target: Maliketh's ingame NPC and that of the birdies were never intended to fight anything but the Tarnished and their summons.
@@MrEvan312 I think it's moreso to do with hitbox issues, rather than their stats.
For example, Fire Giant is arguably the tankiest in the whole game, yet he didn't take nearly as much damage as Rykard and Placidusax.
This is likely because Fire Giant's legs is a smaller hitbox.
The Kindred roaring in defiance as Placidusax comes charging in was epic.
That roar low key did sun to his health tho lol
And then he went and sat at the grace
I love how Maliketh is like "Let me show you how it is done boy!" and proceeds to kick his ass
I'm glad Maliketh was able to beat the gargoyle because he is basically the master of death blight or whatever they inflict. Lorewise the gargoyle is just a servant for Maliketh
Lorewise Radahn should kick everybodys ass except for like godfrey and malekith😅 but yet he loses everything in these fights

Seeing him clutch the Godskin Duo brought me indescribable amounts of joy.
honestly when I seen the godskin symbol i was like "ah fuck they are throwing a fireball its either a tie or loss for the kindred, then I see him doing the ressurection gang signs and i was like "YOU FOOL YOU BUFFOON"

Wow! His fight IQ against the Godskin Duo was fantastic. It's like he knew he was one hit away from death and used his superior reach to get himself over the finish line. Crazy cool fight!
As opposed to his fight IQ against all other bosses like no dodging and running straight into Radahn spears or into the fire.
I feel like this is programmed in. Amount of times the boss has deleted me when he has slither is absurd 😂

Basically all early game bosses will get dumpstered cause it’s not fair
Watching Astel Stars of Darkness getting absolutely melted by that axe attack brought a real tear to my eye
Honestly Renalla scaled on par with late game bosses would be a force to be reckoned with
The reason for that axe attack doing absolute thousands of damage is the rocks that burst after also deal destined death essentially making it have multiple hitboxes against biggish bosses.

Not surprised about the win from Maliketh, he’s probably the highest DPS boss in the game! Absolute beast!
That scream and axe attack combo is incredibly powerful. Makes me want to jump back into the game before the dlc.
Radahn's loss physically hurt me i was rooting for him the whole fight. If only he didn't wiff that last strike.
Radahn never recovered from that nerf. I swear he’s x5 weaker than he used to be

That was probably the fastest Phase 1 Rykard I’ve personally ever seen. I was like, “aw man, this rykard fight gonna last a long time” but then he got deleted and I was like… 😳 “okay.”
Destined Death hits are scary stuff.

I'm sure that Placidusax would had a chance to win if he didn't eat those destined death multi hit attacks at the beginning or he would had got the chance to start his light show with the double laser
Gideon realizing immediately that he needed help shows that he is all-knowing about his chances of winning fights. And they're generally pretty low.

It's fucking stupid radahn has to use the gravity attack before being able to use the meteor. His nerf was dumb and uneeded.

It turns out arrow spam is pretty strong
The radagon fight is probably the best fight in the video. They goes at each other and does all the move and seemingly equal.
That fight was indescribably perfect in many levels.
It begins with a straight-up brawl, with Radagon slightly out-damaging the kindred. Then the beast whips out ranged attacks, and outmanuevers Radagon. After that, Radagon starts using his incantations and quickly regains advantage.
The whole thing then ends with the kindred using its strongest attack, almost killing Radagon. Ofc, the chad survives and whips out HIS strongest attack, laying the black blade to rest
Damn, did not expect Rykard to actually pull through there, especially since his first phase went down in like 2 hits. Goes to show that his skull rain attack can be REALLY devastating if not dodged properly.
That's my favourite part besides Nihil, Placi beam, Radahn's meteor, and Godfrey/hoarah's nuke everytime i watch the "Which boss can survive" videos

Damn, I knew I hated fighting this thing but, I didn't know it could of just solo'd most of the game's main bosses as well bar a few cases... Damn they really are scary.

The actual fucking challenge is margit the annoying omen at level 4, nightmare fuel, and lets not get to the elden beast

Rennala was so painfully close I was hard rooting for her also Elden Beast tried every range attack it had up its sleeve in an attempt to live
I love the fact that the Elden Beast's, one of the vessels of an outer god, one of the strongest attacks dealt nearly no damage to a black stone guy

I think Black Blade Kindred are fairly resilient to Holy damage? That's the majority of Elden Beast's damage so not surprising BBK won.

Seriously tho, with the amount of time rennala destroys her opponents before getting one shot, I'm pretty sure if she was a late game boss she would be uncontested
if she had high poise and more HP she would be almost unbeatable
The fact she's only a mean for us to redo our stats and appearance (even though we can in the roundtable area with the mirror), and too damaged emotionally to do a thing, well.. She'll still could have a berserk mode of somesort, like she got her mind up again after we burn the Elden Tree and new boss fight.. We can only trust modders now.
@@Aenarion_Godslayer considering that she turns Sellen into that "ball of faces" at the end of the Quest, even though Sellen is said by many NPCs to be the strongest mage in Raya Lucaria, I think that even emotionally shaken she is OP, It would be interesting to see her in her prime again without an Elden Lord to break our dear Rennala's heart.
@@johnny8363 if I remember right, she didn't turn her. It was just a side affect of Selena's studies
@@Aenarion_Godslayer Phase 2 of her fight is an illusion created by Ranni if I understand the lore correctly. Her mental state doesn't allow her to do much of anything, so the phase 2 Rennala is her "in her prime" in my opinion. She is a very VERY strong mage, but she is a glass cannon.
Personally I think Black Blade Kindred is one of the coolest enemies in the game. Looks horrifying. Has creepy grunts and could very well fit in a horror game. Stong, agile and a generally cool enemy. Only enemy that is cooler is Radahn, who is in his own league.
That Placidusax fight was badass

I guess it was not a surprise the Black Blade Kindred stood no chance against the Black Blade himself.
Shout-out to Fortissax for shutting down his Twinblade Death Twirl with the Dual Lightning Spears and dodging his Axe Slam with the phase 2 transition, too bad he doesn't have enough health or speed to survive for longer or enough damage to keep up with the Kindred.
Edit: Radagon teleporting, getting rid of the Destined Death effect, then triple slamming him to death all while at dangerously low health was so awesome!
Edit 2: So glad Chadfrey came out on top, he's my favorite boss, love that he got behind the Kindred and confused his AI making it lose sight of him, also the Kindred absolutely deleting Mohg was the funniest thing ever lol, and good that Maliketh showed him who was the real wielder of Destined Death!
The dual fight against these bastards really tested my patience. Propably more than anyone else
That duo fight was of the valiant gargoyles arguably weaker than these ones

The Blackblade Kindreds are servants of Maliketh. They look like Valiant Gargoyles but with black wax wings to symbolize their allegiance. They're also far stronger.
@@ryannelson5148 Not arguably, they're much weaker. The one in Dragonbarrow especially. It's end-game levels of strong.
Thank goodness the duo fight was against the normal gargoyles. I’d hate to see two of these guys in the same room.
I typically hate this guy, but I found myself rooting for him the whole time. I don't think I've seen a mini boss get that far on Malenia, and that shouting death axe attack is just ridiculously OP. Was not expecting him to win against Placidusax or EB, but damn, he absolutely deleted them
It looks like to me that the Roar of BBK before the slam does Destined Death build up. That's why it melted the health of any huge boss because they are such a huge target
I love how dramatic the elden beast’s attacks are as they deal 0 dmg
as always, fight against godfrey is always good to see, the kindred was literally stunned for like 5 sec, because of that jumping throw axe attack
We can talk about the main story fights all we want, but looking back this is the boss fight I remember grinding against. Such good flights

I'm impressed with Rennala. When she have perfect RNG she destroies.
Rennala weakened Black Blade Kindred's magic resistence with the moon then showered him with her magic that deals the most stance damage and then she fired the Commet Azure. All this while dodging all his attacks. Just impressive.
He almost won against Raikard as well
It's really a shame she decided to summon right there when one more spell would have won the fight for her.

RIP Radahn i was cheering for you😢 also the Elden Beast fight highlights why Tiche is the absolute best spirit summons for that part. black blade effect is killer.
It was so satisfying to watch the garg dancing around the arena making malenia look kinda helpless at times
Spoilers:
After a long time, Rykard recovered his touch... It made me happy to not see the second phase of the Fire Giant... Radagon showed an excellent final.
Only Radahn, Rennala and Godskin Duo were near the victory.
Malenia, Godfrey and Maliketh battles ended as it was supposed to.
He didn't let Radahn use his meteor. Should have been no contest

@Vyor radahn has to do moves before he can meteor for example he must always empower his blades before he meteors

Rennala somehow always impresses me at these. She's absurdly weak, but somehow her AI defaults to the perfect attacks in almost every single video.
Enemy is big? Spam Star Shower.
Enemy is small? Spam Comet and Crystal Barrage.
Enough distance from either? Comet Azur.
Seriously, it's incredible. She doesn't miss a beat. I thought BBK would annihilate her, instead he almost died.
Edit: Need to say this though: The Gargoyles weapon change animations are SUPERB. Seriously, I never get tired of seeing them.
Edit 2: Surprised to see Malenia's Rot work even on immune creatures.
I mean, she's supposed to be a naturally superhumanly intelligent human, getting INT levels we can only reach by leveling up (which she can't do) to extreme extents
Malenia's rot didn't work on Kindred. Kindred was taking damage from the aoe attack.
@@davidnewhart2533 It did, you can see two damage ticks happening while he's in the AoE.
Though I do wish she's used her Moon Attack more often, its the only thing that could get her out of sticky situations and the attack itself is no slouche, she could probably stun most of the bosses with how much damage it can do to the poise. If she took advantage of that more when an enemy is coming at her with their strongest attack, I'd guarantee you she'd have as much wins as Malenia

All these months later, it's still nuts to see how many of these were close fights...and to see Rykard be like, pretty competent against a thing that should have mopped him up

Nah the best part was when he started his destined death attack while placi was teleporting

that glowing attack that seems to delete half the bosses healthbar at once is legitimately absurd
It's supposed to have a knock up effect so on smaller enemies it only procs once, but since most bosses can't smacked skyward they take dozens of tics

That Radagon fight was amazing
It's always good to see Chadfry the First Elden Lord win one of these, he's my favourite character but rarely wins these 1V1s.
2 side notes:
1- the kindered in caelid has more health
2- both kindreds hold 2 (swords/axes) when they to the ranged yell attack, makes me wonder how much worse they woukd be to fight if they used both the whole fight
Honestly, I love fighting the one in Caelid. I think 1 on 1 the Gargs are such a cool fight. Punishing but fair moveset and a great design.

@@red_3244 two Malekith? That wouldn't destroy my sanity or anything lol. Actually, Beast Clergyman and Malekith would be an interesting, still unreasonable combination since they have two very different styles.
You should buff The HP of Baleful Shadow and have him fight the bosses to see how he holds up. Or maybe have him as is, and pair him up with Alecto The Black Knife Ringleader and see if bosses can survive the duo.
Alternatively, let's run Blaidd through the gauntlet and scale him up to the bosses. lol

The Malenia fight is hardly a fair contest. Her 2nd phase blossom is just free damage since the AI can’t actually avoid it. If she didn’t use her blossom then Black Blade may have actually taken her down.
