    Interesting. I've been a bus driver in the United States since 1995 and am licensed for up to 40,000 lb passenger busses. Interestingly... just for fun I was chatting with ChatGTP and the "AI" told me that Slovenia would be a wonderful first place to visit in the EU. I just have to figure out everything else.

      @@zerobambiro When I reply this message, I have been living in countryside of Slovenia for 5 months already and to be honest, I really enjoy it compare with the city life I have in the Netherlands. Each destination has it own pros and cons. Before I love the chaos and hustle & bustle of city, then Amsterdam fits me perfectly. Now I need more space and quiet, then the nature of Slovenia heals me the most. Wish you have lovely moments in Slovenia 🇸🇮

      But to be honest, I was born and raised n Slovenia . Went to school there, and can tell you Slovenia is very racist country. I now live in UK since Nov 2003 and I work for DWP since July 2007. I started as a band A and got promoted to band D which means Higher Executive Officer. If you are a DR? I advise you to register on NHS website.

    I need to correct you on the part about EVERYONE speaking English. That is very wrong. I have lived here long enough to say that people outside from big towns have often no knowledge of English and in some towns such as Celje, doctors and nurses refuse to speak English for some reasons, maybe for shyness or else but when it comes to helping someone, these excuses are ridiculous.
    Finding a job is very difficult and is expected that you know and speak Slovene well. Now, bec. of covid Slovenes are losing jobs and foreigners will have a much bigger challenge.

    • @Fran-hd1iq
      @Fran-hd1iq Рік тому

      @@chamikaweerasinghe9233 For students, I think Ljudska Univerza can prepare them to get a job they would like. I think they will train them and help them settle into a company. I am no student, so I informed myself that I was a post-graduate, which was not working for me. In addition, I would search on Facebook for groups (a few that I have joined myself, such as Jobs in Ljubljana, Jobs in Slovenia 🇸🇮, Delo in Zaposlitev, etc.)

      Yes, of course some 80+ old lady in a small village will most likely not have a clue about english. Maybe italian or german.
      Regarding doctors and nurses not knowing english is also very rare. But on the other hand, why should they speak english in our own country to someone who is living here? If someone after 5+ years living in other country cannot communicate basics in native languge then excuse me, it is your fault. The same goes for the job. Do you think that in other countries like Germany, France, Italy, Austria... will welcome you and discuss everything all the time in english?
