If your going to pump dry flats you have to pump deeper, it gets too hot on top so they go down.
And chuck a new washer in your pump you wont be getting any suction sideways only were your pump has gone in.

Wow havent pumped yabbies there for a few years either. Like you say it used to be easy. Wonder if the beach replenishment had anything to do with it? If you are stuck for bait maybe you can try pipis next time..I see them out front of redden creek and further north.
Hi and yeah iv seen those places still have plenty on the same spots just a few days ago. Iv never seen them so absent in 20 years at machans🤔 i was 100% confidant to get some like all other times

@buzzythaosadventures7580 Yabbies have always been plentiful with that they have been taken for granted. After using your pump, unscrew the tension on the seal, this will keep it's elasticity for next time. Also don't let the seal stay dry for long periods. Cheers
