I like word one of the comments stated: it’s like a master class. It is real and thank you so much for choosing a model who is not a teenager. Not that I have anything against it but it is so nice to see every day colors on more mature skin. I followed along with your colors because my eye shape is exactly the same as your model’s and it turned out amazing!
Aww thanks! Yes, I decided to use real friends and people of all ages, skin tones, eye shapes to show real makeup for real people everyday. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
Super helpful tutorial! The model's eyes are so similar to mine (puffier eyelid flesh and her top lid overhanging the outer corner). It's hard to find this example, so thank you!
Thank you for a very helpful video! Favourite tip of this video was the extending of the model's lower eyelid towards the overhanging upper lid to make her eyes look bigger.
This was refreshing. I get a kick out of all the youtubers doing tutorials on hooded eyes on their own eyes which are anything but hooded. I’m caucasion, but my lids have always been more flat, you can see the lower part of my upper lid, but the socket is barely visible. I think it’s part of the reason I look younger than I am, but it makes it hard to do eyeshadow looks. Maybe I should be watching more tutorials on Asian Eyes! You paid $169 for that shadow palette? Yikes. Was it worth it? Maybe so. But really....I just paid $52 for a Chantecaille shadow single...so who am I to talk?
Everyone is different and every face is different. Think of makeup like clothes. There are so many styles you can wear. I would suggest having a personalized lesson or consultation from a professional makeup artist to learn what is best for your own face and eye shape.
@@JillPowellGlam I went to a Clinique counter last year after businesses opened back up and I bought an eyeshadow palette with 13 shades. They weren't allowed to give tutorials so the girl had draw it out on paper. I recently went back with my palette in hand but they still can't give tutorials. When I see a pic of myself I think my eyes look awful. So I don't know, maybe I'm not applying it correctly or all 13 shades aren't for me, or both.
@@pillsie send me an email with a pic of your palette and your eyes and I can try to help virtually. Or I can help you find a local professional makeup artist in your area (not just a sales associate makeup artists)
so pretty! i would love to on my eyes that aren't hooded because it looks so pretty! thanks!

Thanks!! Yes it was expensive but well worth it. I still love it!!
Fabulous, plus do more mature Asian women. It is so great.
Thanks for using a beautiful model who isn't a teenager!
What if you don’t want fake eyelashes - what can be done?
Just curl your lashes and use a curling mascara so your lashes aren’t weighed down
♥️
You’re so adorable
Every time I google 55 year old eyeshadow tutorials or hit the Clinique counter I get a different technique. So confusing.

@@JillPowellGlam I have a pic but it might be too big of a file. I don't want a pro makeup artist because that will cost $$.
nice channel but recommend that you delete the unnecessary introduction
Thanks! I shortened it- great feedback
I think her eyes look a little dark and heavy and somewhat blockchain
Thanks for your feedback!
