  • I absolutely love my current Newport Vessels NV series trolling motor and I also love my kayak series! These are great, well built eletric motors that are built to withstand the rough corrosion of saltwater. Also, I never take this motor off my transom, even when trailering it down the highway!

Do these motors come with the battery connectors or are they sold separately?? Cant find the answer anywhere

Are you talking about the cables that connect directly to the terminals of the battery? If so, yes. You have everything you need to hook it up. Unless your battery is weird and required something extra to secure the connection at the terminals.

Couple hours with my old 55ah lead acid but I have a 100ah lithium that lasts a full day and more

Hello, do you mind telling me what battery you using, I know it’s a 100ah lithium but just would like to know the brand so I buy the perfect one

$330 for the battery. That’s twice the cost of the motor itself.

May I ask what model boat you use in this video and how long you've had it? I will be in salt water as well and have been waffling between two or three brands of same type. Thanks in advance.

I have a 7ft x 4 ft wide fiberglass dingy. Weight not known 5 hp max.its a tri hull. What size dinghy and weight is yours? Think think the 46 or 55 would work?
    Thank you

I’m at probably 200 pounds so super light. Your boat is small enough still that a 46 will work fine however a 55 will absolutely be the best option if you have a higher capacity deep cycle battery. I chose 46 so I’m more efficient with my battery and the top speed is the same as my old 55. Either work!

@@GreysonRoberts all my reserch says get this motor and I will. could you tell me what your battery looks like. Im thinking Lithium 12 volt cant decide 50 amp hour or 100 hour. I would like 3 to 4 hours and half speed what ever that works out to be. thank you

@@redwood1957 I had a 55ah and got stranded once and almost got stranded a couple more times. If you want all day no problem definitely go 100ah. If you want even more battery life, go lithium. I switched from 55ah lead acid to 100ah lithium and I get about 3-4x time on the water!

@@GreysonRoberts it’s brand new, I’m gonna try and jab a tiny flathead screwdriver in there to hold the nut, and try to loosen the bolt/screw .
Just havnt got to it yet
