Corvette ZR1 - Everyone Will Want to Own it

- The new Chevy Corvette ZR1 is coming this summer and it's set to be the craziest car to ever come out of General Motors! The ZR1 takes the Corvette Z06 to the next level. The most obvious change is the massive rear wing. According to spy photos, there are two types of wing. The first is similar to the Z06's Z07 high-performance package. The second wing appears to be inspired by the Pratt & Miller C8 Corvette GT3 race car and is manually adjustable.
The ZR1 has many more intakes at the rear and extra ducting at the front. Its 5.5-liter V8 engine produces 670 horsepower, but thanks to two turbochargers, this will increase to 800 horsepower in the ZR1. This makes it the most powerful Corvette ever. Power will be transmitted exclusively to the rear wheels via a Tremec TR-9080 eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This is just getting ridiculously expensive and really unworthy whereccan you actually drive these cars on the street never on the track only and the expense of buying and caring for this thing is left only to rich people that really don’t have a family

Dollar for dollar, corvette is untouchable. Are there better performance cars, yes, but for so much more money! For the dollar, corvette cannot be beat!

I'd rather have a 6 cylinder diesel truck that can get 800+ mi on a full tank. Because cars like this are going to be absolutely worthless when World War III breaks out or the economy collapses these are really fun toys but now I'm thinking more about what I want to be driving when shyt hits the fan lately 😂
If you can afford this car, then one doesn't worry about world problems...Vettes aren't for everyone, but I've had the passion for them since the first one rolled off the assembly line. I'm on my 16th one with 2 in my garage atm...you are or you're not a Vette lover and that's ok...after all my many vettes, I still feel a certain amount of excitement just starting the engine now...happy motoring to you!!

Many of the renderings are from the prior ZR1. I am not sure there’s much value to this video.
these things look like a hookup between the fevered dreams of a cartoon artist and a no talent auto designer who is fresh out of Ideas. Whatever happened to sophisticated designs. The trend is the more dramatic scoops paired with clashing creases in body panels, the better. I for one will be glad to see the day when this fad is buried alongside all those tail fins from the 50s and 60s.
Lets not get too excited. Unless u have a spare $250k to spend...dont bother. If the C8 Zo6 is going for $180k, imagine what this C8 ZR1 will cost?...if u can even get one. U may be on a build list for 3-4 years to get a new one.
True, I spent 1-1/2 years for mine, ordered in 2019 and took museum delivery in April of 2021...for me, it would be worth the wait..

Of course we all want to own it but only the rich can afford it. I want a $20k car that can smoke a corvette then I will be impressed by the auto industry. But as we know only the rich get the good toys, the rest of us just have to work to provide them with their toys.
Dude I could afford this I’m just not stupid enough to. Get a good job move up the ladder go to school for a trade too and make more money maybe open up your own business at that point and keep going. You gotta have ambitions. Have to make sacrifices. 🤷♂️

Remember not everyone can be a business owner, the world needs the working class too. If there were people who didn't have more money than you, you wouldn't be able to buy anything, let alone a car. I'll pass. Let me explain why. When it came out in 1990 was made 5 years .
And it was a little bit more expensive than a base Corvette but it wasn't overly insanely overpriced. The 2019 ZR1 was nothing but a joke. It was a overpriced cash grab. They priced it so high and only made it for one year and artificially inflated the price so nobody could buy one . I feel like Chevrolet did it as a joke. The ZR1 didn't used to be overly priced like it is now it was a little bit more expensive than a bass Corvette but it wasn't like a hundred thousand dollars more. It was basically Chevrolet giving the middle finger up to their customers who have been loyal.
It's a Chevy not a Ferrari. The car should not be only made one year.
One last thing. I've noticed you've got the tires poking out of the fenders. The stock 06 does not have the tires poking out of the fenders. I don't like how the stock ZO6 and C8 has the tire set inside the fender it doesn't look good they need to have the tires and wheels flush with the fender

I understand that. I'm regretting buying an automatic but due to the lost of my left arm I'd rather be comfortable, but I can still drive a manual. More power to anyone that can buy whatever they want, I'm not going to hate on you just because I can't afford one.
