Not everyone does this, but please have either a list or picture of everything you have for trade. I dislike it when I have to go back and forth with someone to figure out what they have.
I think it is also useful to have an element in the photo to make it unique or time stamped. Unfortunately I think of this as proof of life like in a kidnapping movie, but I think it helps.
Great video. I'm in Australia so I'm not sure how that will impact the trading opportunities, but worst case scenario is I have some figures in my collection I otherwise wouldn't.
Where I'm at with this : As an early European fan (backed both Kickstarters as All-Ins) there was no need for me to get in on this sale. HOWEVER... With a 75 USD + 25-50 USD shipping (to Europe) + 25-50 USD import tax/duties you are basically GAMBLING! Maybe you get that 1 figure you were looking for + probably 1 figure you already own (with all the All-Stars waves and the recent 4FM sale), it just makes no financial sense for us none-US fans. I get that 4FM has some serious money invested with this stock BUT... A better idea would have been a "Start of Summer Sale" in June or something, just like they did with the previous stock sale in March so that EVERYBODY has a fair chance of getting the figures they want rather then spending USD of a maybe...
The gamble with a limited supply in stock sale, one that would sell out of the hottest items in seconds, is that the people with the fast Internet connection have an advantage over others, so Four Horsemen are damned if they do, damned if they don't when it comes to getting the limited-supply stuff out to people in a "fair" way. Ultimately I just think some avenues will be better than others for various preferences and locations.
As far as references go, I have only made purchases through the Cabal and never traded. So is there something for the first-time trader in order to gain references?
@@DorkLair Thanks. I thought that, or if the other person has references then I prepare mine and send first, or send and then message the tracking. Also specific to the mystery box, my feeling is if my figure was recently selling for $85 and the one I want was selling for $65, I trade because both of us win and both of us paid $37.50. If the values are reversed I would understand the person not trading.
4H does have a close relationship with their fans. Just about all the co are action figure enthusists. This was a good idea in general business and as a promotion. Businesses need operating capital. The inventory they have is taxable. New fans are made every day and this gives them a chance to get the figures from the source on secondary market the prices can be high(older releases especially). The joy of opening something you do not know can be rush.... presents anyone...I get not seeing what your getting and I can respect you bowing out. Be well.
Tbh, as a newer Legions collector, I don't have any of the older figures and only a few of the newer ones. I actually like the blind box aspect because I'm guaranteed to get something I didn't have before and may end up pleasantly surprised with a figure I wouldn't have picked up otherwise. Plus, I must admit that there is something a bit exciting about not knowing what to expect in my package.
Again, another outstanding video, Bill. Curtis, I appreciate you reaching out with the tips and ideas 💡 on the video.
Thanks Benny!
Such a great video. You word things so much better than I or most of us could. Thanks for this. I’m gonna pin it in the cabal right away.
Thanks Curtis! I'm glad you like it, and thanks again for encouraging me to do this topic.
Great tips, Bill!
Do: Pack your shipment with pride.
I just received my first 3 blindboxes today and I just put up my post on the reddit

Great tip! It's important to be as specific as possible. I can't stand people who just fish around for offers.

This was all such great advice

Thanks, I think the same tips would apply, it's just a much smaller pool of Legions collectors in your area.
BST for the win 🤘Great video friend ☝️
Thanks Kent!
Excellent video, Bill
Thank you!

Maybe start by trying to trade something of lower value, lower risk. Best way to win trust is to form relationships. It's something that takes time.

Mystery boxes were something I didn't think 4H would do, lost some respect for them tbh.
