It's great to hear about a company fixing problems and working on improvements. That just makes the whole collecting and playing with the figures experience all around better.
I skipped the Slate originally, figuring I'd be able to pick it up later, so i was surprised it sold out everywhere. I was able to get one, so I will try to get 1 or 2 more during the ISS, and I'll try to get 3-5 of this one. But also gotta save some money for the Mythic Legions wave. My funds are getting split between too many great fantasy lines right now. Great video, thanks!
Who throws away boxes anyway? They are great for storage or moving. Also, the boxes, themselves, look great and can be nice ways to dispaly action figures sometimes. Although, it is also best to free the little plastic people from their plastic prisons.
Nice review, I have all of the first wave so I want to get every one of these scaly dudes. Thanks for the notice of when these Slates are available. How many are you getting?
@@workingZen They have a list of retailers on their Instagram page, but none in the UK. They are still a tiny company, so you'd probably have to order from a U.S. retailer who ships to the U.K.
Appreciate the thorough review. I haven't pulled the trigger on SC yet. Something is missing for me, but I can't quite pinpoint what it is. The paintwork is amazing, but the armor and accessories just are not resonanting. The articulation doesn't feel like it hits for the number of compromises to the sculpt at the elbows and knees. I just see beans. But the shoulders and torso articulation looks great. I am hopeful the fish people will get me in.
Bill, an intriguing fantasy line. To me the shadow slate is an upgrade in paint apps and ankle articulation. I too have to measure my spending as the various cons and event releases are hitting. Nice to see a new studio represent.✌️

I got the original Slate at Heroes Con a couple weeks ago and really regret not getting more. It's got such a nice texture and is just fun to handle!

Amazing time to be a collector!
$20 for that figure is a great deal. I regret not picking up these base model figs during the kickstarter.
Those were fun figure comparisons.
The lizard man works well everywhere.
Definitely hoping to score a couple this Friday!
Going to JoeFest and hoping to load up on this line!

Such modern articulation!!! Lol hes pretty cool, this line will be nice in a couple years from now
Let's see mythic legions use a two handed weapon with no butterfly joints.
Slate is indeed a brilliant name for these figures.
And if I remember correctly you are the one who came up with that name :)
Haha! Me? No no no, I would never brag about a genius idea I had 😅
@@DorkLair sure you wouldn't ;)

Great review !
Thank you!

Maybe 2 more slates.
How do I warm up my figures about the stiff knees could you tell me please
@@artin7952 Hair dryer or hot water.
Thanks how long should It be in hotwater
@@artin7952 About 30 seconds is usually fine. Get the water hot but not boiling.
Alright thanks you so much
Should I also put the hand accessories in water too?
Perfect armor swap for this figure
Nice! Harvenger Studios, is that also the name of their website?
Website is SavageCrucible.com
@@DorkLair Thanks!
Where to buy these online? Im in the UK

@@DorkLair Ah thank you for the info :)
They want to avoid a super quick sellout?
So....
two seconds instead of half a second?
How is the popping and swapping with these is it smooth?
It definitely takes a good amount of heat, but once you do it a few times it's pretty straightforward. A full hot water bath makes it a lot easier.
Looks epick

I definitely prefer the less armored builds myself.
