Seeing these Goblins made me go back and buy a figure i wanted years ago when i saw it, but passed on. I have all the original Figura Obscura figures, and i cant wait for my Snagg.
In my opinion as a casual mythic legions collector i find this wave a bit mediocre im only interested in the frost ogre . I was hoping for more mounts . As far as paying now for something i wont get for a year is not something i will ever do . I often cancel preorders once i realize i really didnt want something i ordered a year ago as my toy taste change on a daily basis . If it was a couple months to wait i would be more inclined but prepaying only helps the company not the consumer .
Yeah as a casual who mostly gets skeletons or non human characters this was pretty underwhelming. Goblins for sure and on the fence on the frost ogre and gold skeleton.

One of K'ai Pacha's extra heads looks like an homage to the D&D Zarak figure (a half orc assassin).
Great breakdown, Bill. I'm excited and yet torn over this wave. I don't care about parts reuse. The 4H cleverly disguise any parts reuse and they all look like fresh characters to me.

I find it odd that people are calling this a mediocre wave. I thought it was pretty good. Its loaded with all kinds of accessories and the price is still very reasonable. I DO think the 4HM need to work on female bodies; that Azza hair is the exact same as Thraice, Kalian, etc. so a new hairstyle/face would be warranted. They came up with a "jacked" female figure over in Cosmic with Vorgga, but they need to look at Xesray Studio's work and do something like that. Overall though this was a great wave....can't wait!!
The alt head on Azza is a straight repaint of the Thraice/Kalian head. It's just the alternate head though so people can choose not to use it.
I'm most excited for that Goblin 2pack. As a fairly new Legions collector I haven't had a whole lot of opportunities to build my Goblin army.
Same here. I want that and the gold skeleton.
Good info. As usual, I'm going All-in direct and then doubling up a few with retailers later. I need a few knight builder set, and I can't handle that much out of pocket right now. That's why it helps to have the option of dependable retailers. 😊
Informative as always Bill. I'm in awe at how deep and varied the parts uses are on this wave.
Love the look of the white knight Iosef and the Blue Shield knight builder! The golden skeleton also looks very cool
My favorites are:
The Blue Shield Soldier, goblin two-pack, Xue, and K'ai Pacha.
I prefer the ogres to be mean and green.
Maaaan, i wanted a good looking thief/stealth archetype character to add to my Skyrim collection. I wanted a classic mage, warrior and thief. This khajiit looking characters is absolutely awesome!!
I like Azza. Lady wizards are my favorite.
I thought I was going crazy, but the heads keep getting BIGGER. What are they thinking over there? It looks absurd. 😂

It's a shame there were no straight up re-issues.
Some of us have just joined the collecting fandom of this line and we would like to get the older figures that we didn't even know about.
A few weeks ago on a livestream, they announced that they are not doing any straight reissues this year.
I didn’t find this wave appealing but after reviewing the figures most this week , I changed my mind. Because in a quick way to build some goblin & knights, this is perfect & what better time to buy than during these campaigns. I assume these sets will hit $89 for the goblins & $74??! For the nights but that’s because the orce builders are $74, these nights could go fast & hit 2nd market for triple. So I’m in for 2 of each. But we have til the end of June to decide . Pig goblins are going to work great for my 6” jabba for gamorrean guards. Especially since Hasbro hasn’t released some in the TVC since 2015 - 16??? I forget but I built a throne room & have been patiently waiting for some green pigs
I don't like all the alternate looks.
If I want to display all the alternate looks at the same time I would have to get multiples of the figure.
If I have multiples of the same figure then I would have even more extra heads with no bodies.
Maybe the costs could be a little lower per figure with fewer extra body parts that can't all be used at the same time.

Another awesome vid man. I am new to 4H and your vids help me make sense of it all and decide what I would want to get. When you said the knight builder uses valiant knight pieces, does that mean it’s on the same body? Or you mean it’s an older body with newer pieces taken from the valiant knight? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol it’s just a little confusing to me at times
It's all the same parts as Valiant Knight except the torso. So same arms, same legs, same hands, same hinged neck peg. Some of the swap out armor bits are the same.
The wave no one asked for, but still some fun peices, especially for part swapping customizers
I sincerely hope the Horsemen keep creating what they want to create, and not what people ask for.
Alternate ogre heads and two figures would be great adversaries for a Conan diorama

Thanks for the breakdown. I like all of the figures but overall I was a little disappointed by this wave. It feels like an All Star wave to me.
I think it probably should feel like an all stars wave since it's essentially the next evolution of the all stars waves.

I can't do all in (vacation this month and another beginning of next month) but I'm definitely going to preorder the Blue Shield Solider, the Goblin 2-pack, and maybe K'ai Pacha. The others I'll get at a Con next year or order from a 3rd party partner site. Do you think the face on the Blue Shield Solider is the same on that Sir Adalric has?
I think Blue Shield's face is the same face from Xylernian Guard. Which means it's not a faceplate like Adalric.
I wish 4H would produce these quicker
Here's my interpretation of the situation: It's not really possible for them to actually produce them quicker, what you are asking is for them to delay the pre-order until the production is further along (or even complete). They have actually done this with Figura Obscura, some Reinforcements waves, and the convention exclusives, but all of those function effectively as exclusives and are subject to the usual supply/demand problems that come with in-stock drops (and even Figura eventually gets a full pre-order). I think the reason they open pre-orders prior to the start of production is because they want to truly give people an open window for pre-order. No chance for missing out, no chance for sell outs, no chance for scalping. Just a true made-to-order scenario. If they decide to start delaying the pre-order until after they have submitted their order total to the factory, then they are operating on estimates. If they over-estimate, they are stuck with oversupply and the dreaded cycle of clearance endangering the company. And if they under-estimate, then they screw the collectors who miss out, sticking them with a brutal aftermarket. The solution that has worked for 4H for a decade is the pre-production pre-order model. My suggestion for collectors who don't like the model is to just put the wave out of mind until closer to release and then buy from a retailer, they are almost always still available at release.

Have the 4H said anything about the next MOTU Tributes? There is no Powercon this year. I'm curious if they still plan on making them, but will have early access at a different convention.
No official word yet, but some people think that if they do them, they may debut them at IshCon instead.

I'm just upset that this going against Yo Joe June. With that being the case I will not be going all in, cause there will be a GI Joe Haslab that will be expensive. I mean most stuff in Yo Joe June will be pre orders, but it's that big priced Haslab and I usually order multiples of.
So anyways, no "all in" for me, but I will make purchases for sure! I NEED that goblin set. Being fairly new to Mythic Legions, I have not had good access to the earlier goblins. I am soooo happy with that goblin pack, I will buy at least 3. And I love the skeletons in the line, I will for sure get 2 V2 Golden skeletons....maybe 3. And being fairly new again, need more females in my collection, so Spiritbender 2 is another purchase.
