It's a shame that Hylor Cryn head wasn't tooled in time to go on the TU5CC Pilot, I think that is exactly what that pilot figure needed. Obviously this is a "re-use" wave but the fact that 5 out of the 7 have new heads goes a long way toward making those figures feel unique. I hope they keep up the new heads for re-use waves! Kogg reminds me that we need a Brute-scale Sasquatch figure for Figura Obscura. We need furry limbs!!! Loving the Chewbacca vibes though. My favorite is Bunji, pretty cool to have a smaller mount and of course the bedroll takes it over the top. My least favorite is Jobara, she doesn't seem very memorable. I'm not a big fan of reusing human heads with different paint jobs and saying they are aliens, I want my aliens to be weirder than that. Pretty cool that there is a vehicle on the horizon! I feel like these pictures and the poster pretty much confirm what it will look like.
Wave 2 was the only time I've ever bought the entire wave direct from four horsemen. I see now you can get all of the previous waves on a pretty decent discount with flat rate shipping from bbts. I'm tempted to wait on this wave and just have it shipped from bbts when they become available.
Bill, thank you for the break down. Some resonated more then others but that is just me. I can appreciate line and its narrative expanding. Trevor does remarkable work adding context and vivid presentation to his product shots. ✌️
Your videos always put the 4HM to shame. Nowhere on the 4HM site or store do they show the working sleeping bag that comes with Bunji. I really would have liked to have seen how all the figures scale with each other, and how the toad guy looks on the steed. Sadly, we'll probably have to wait until these come out for those images.
They are a small company and their marketing department is one person. The reason why their figures have only gone up $2 in 10 years yet come with way more paint and accessories than before is because they keep the company lean. Go back five years and there was ZERO marketing. So yeah, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on this one.
What’s not to like? Buzz Off tribute is a must! Looks fantastic! I’m sure I’ll get more later. Gotta grab a Rattler first. The mount and rider are interesting as well as the dude with the mace. 4H always put value in their offerings.
I like Jobara, glad to have at least one female this wave. She has some new stuff I think- I don’t remember seeing 2.0 cloth arms and upper legs before. I like her boots too. Happy to have more variety in female color and hair as well. She has so much potential!
She's awesome, gives me Dune vibes. Those upper arms and legs were introduced in the upcoming Rising Sons Mythic Legions wave, so yes they are new to Cosmic.
Too bad about the scuff stream, tanks for the break down I am at least getting one all in and contemplating about getting a few extras for customizing.
Jobara Kee : A bit boring... Thraxxian Hunter : YES, though a darker set of cloth goods to balance out the brown skin tone and bone accents would be better... Hylor Cryn : First thing that pops in my head was "Ashley Woods World War Robot" (the colour is what does it). Just an OK figure... Anthophilees : YES x 3!!! Kogg : Yes, now make a "naked" version of him. A weapon should have been included at this price... Bunji : Mmm... A Cosmic Horse it is not... Would have been great to see how any of the figures fit on him though... AhgCha : YES, however at 48 USD for what seems a 37 USD figure perhaps a bit steep? Wasteland Survival Set : Wings => SURE. Hands => WHY NOT. Heads => GREAT. But boxes sold as accessories to a cosmic toyline, now for the second time... NOPE!!! My picks will be : 3 x Thraxxian Hunter, 3 x Anthophilees, 2 x Kogg, 3 x Bunji and 3 x AhgCha. Total : 606 USD for the figures I actually want VERSUS the ALL-IN... just an idea.
Thanks for the breakdown. I like Kogg, but I have to be honest and it might just be where I'm at right now, but this wave doesn't excite me, I think this is a pass for now and I'll pick up Kogg later.
Bees amazing, I no longer buy multiples but he was tempting. I have an army of buzz offs & figured he could be my queen bee. Too bad 4horseman didn’t do a bee female
feels like Hylor and Anthophilees could have great part swap synergies, especially with Hylor’s insect like helmet.Bunji’s head could look cool on a troll.
While the sculpt work is amazing, and the designs are unique. The Cosmic line is not turning out as I hoped. Mythic embraces all the classic mythical character tropes and represents them all with a 4h twist. Cosmic so far is only focusing on aliens, and as a big Sci Fi fan, I was hoping to see all sci fi characters represented in a 4h way by now. A lot of Androids, and human adventurers in space too. How ML is a tribute to fantasy films, so too I expected CL to represent 4H's take on space films.
Jobara looks like a black woman. I hope her head get's repainted as such for a Mythic figure or in a head pack. I love that Buzz-Off. He's only a pair of shins away from being fully organic/Mythic. Alternately; you can throw some of Hylor's parts on and make him even more futuristic. He was the only He-Man figure in this wave. Think we'll get a 2nd in a Mythic Legions wave? I guess the addition of horns makes Bunji read as a herbivore. Did they say if Angcha's limbs are the same that come in the Goblin 2 pack?
@@Whipstorm If your definition of "kitbashing" includes sculpting new parts, then I guess I could sort of see what you're saying, since there's a lot of parts reused from the upcoming wave and a few from the early waves. But considering Mythic Legions released 5 waves before sculpting ANY new parts, I'd say Cosmic is way ahead of what's been established in the past.
Feels like Cosmic hasn't really caught on. I don't see much on Insta and UA-cam. Even DorkLair didn't cover the latest releases to review. I was selling some extra Legions and the Mythics went immediately. Cosmics, even at less than cost, never even had someone haggle.
@@DesperadoDingo The line is still very new, and still only a fraction of the size and popularity of Mythic Legions. As far as the latest wave, I have started reviewing it, but the wave hit at a busy time for me. There have been Mythic waves where the same thing happened to me as well.
man how is this channel not bigger the videos are all ways so grate !!!🎉
@@hugosanchez1437 Thank you!
Buzz off looks great, maybe my fav tribute figure yet. The use of cloth on these is awesome too. Im not really crazy about the cosmic line yet tho.
If you aren’t yet then you won’t be ever cause the aesthetic will stay the same for years.
Too cool seeing David's custom become an official tribute. AhgCha and Bunji are the highlights for me, but the whole wave looks great.
I’m glad you did this, the stream was a mess.
Yeah I had to follow on their IG posts.

My god that new price point for retailers is welcome. It's basically the 6 usd up on the price i'd usually have to pay on my orders
💯

"Some resonated more then others but that is just me." I think that goes for everyone. You love some things more than others.
I really like this line.
Me too!
Big Big Congrats to David Williams
I'm so pumped for Buzz-Off. So cool that they did this and gave props to David.
For sure!

This looks like a fun wave of figures.
I agree!
The Buzz0Off inspired figure looks like a whole lot of fun.

I barely noticed because I was looking at their instagram and just listening to the stream.

I cannot wait to see Kurnn, Jobara, and Hylor together. The Scapehaven faction is shaping up to be the coolest looking group to me.
I'm surprised they haven't unblurred that photo yet.
@@DorkLair they haven't added Kurnn to the Scapehaven faction yet, either.
