One of U.S.A's most memorable movies made in the 70's was "American Graffiti". Most of the movie was about driving around at night in a little yellow hot rod. I loved it lol
Not the size of your car decides if you're cool or not, but the Attitude...and these Guys have plenty of it. Their music is Cafe material all the way. Long live Rock'n'Roll!!!
It was itching my mind why I thought this was familiar - It's not exactly what I'd call a rip though - This is like a last call, things are slowing down version.
Oh I forgot to say. There is a group on Facebook that's getting pretty popular. It's called The song in your head this morning.I will also share it on there.People from all over the world are on it.
Correction, America has soul and everyone is trying to imitate it. If for one second anyone out there thinks that America has lost anything, turn off your tv, and rip the knobs off of your radio- if you want real art this day in age, you need to pay for it and earn your right. Go to a show, explore the many independent artists our there. America has an infectious artistic side that has far surpassed anywhere else in the world. show some pride fellow American's.
What's funny and sad at the same time is that many of us rockabilly fans here today in the U.S. often get called "wannabes" by some others here for our embracing the rockabilly style, simply because we're not from the 1950s, so you'd think many "purists" among us over here would understand more than anybody that inspiration is about where you're at, not where you're from. Any purist needs to relax more--life's far more enjoyable when we just enjoy what's good in life, and let others do as well.
These guys’ music and their look is f’n cool. I think they’re badasses. Need to fire their cinematographer/ director, however. How cool is 4 guys dressed cool as shit getting into a beat up Toyota to go do their laundry? Then they’re off to chase mud-ugly Betties? And then they’re just standing on some stairs looking around staring at people getting on a subway? And they keep having The Crypt Keeper walking around in scenes behind them? I grew up in Europe….these music videos always make me nuts. Too many fine women over there to not have a couple in a cool music video. But the music is killer. Keep rockin!
Call these guys wanna-bes, hacks, fakes, whatever you want. One thing is certain. There are VERY few rockabilly bands in the us that are as good as this. It sucks that they aren't from the U.S. America has lost its heart and soul of music.
This particular phenomenon is called a "standard" the idea used throughout the entire song is old, and a plethora of artists have built upon those same chords/structure.
Great song for the mood I'm in today. The video would have been better if they used the Buick from the Drinking gasoline vidoe in stead of that yellow PoS sub compact.
Great band ! The best part is that the group is young, founded in 1991, and performs music in the old style and it's wonderful and so cool !
Hints of howling wolfs smokestack lighting. I love it
The best of the blues/rock builds on what came before. The blues had a baby, and they named it rock'n'roll....
One thing about music - it does not know the boundaries of countries, nations, race. It's universal and in it lies her beauty.
Belgium represent! Whoop whoop!
Belgium rocks! I'm so proud of them! And live they kick ass. Can't wait to see them again at their next show.
Kickass band, the intro ''riff'' reminds me a bit of Smokestack Lightnin' by Howlin Wolf.
Dude, that's exactly what it is.
