I remember Mum talking about these shows. She HIGHLY recommended that I watch them. I remember her saying to Dad "well if anyone is going to bring opera to kids, it should be Joan - I could think of no better singer to do that". I have very faint memories of her in the Daughter of the Regiment costume talking to the puppets but that was a LONG time ago. Thank you so much for uploading this dear. As you know, it's Lucia so that means the people in my house do NOT get to disturb me for 28 minutes and 38 seconds!!!!

I loved this series, but wondered how they talked Joan into singing with bad wigs and puppets! Her Lucia rose above the circumstances, showing again that her Lucia had no equal.
