On Raglan road ,on an Autumn day, I saw her first, and knew, that her dark hair would weave a snare, that I might one day rue. I saw the danger ,yet I walked along the enchanted way, and said, let grief be a falling leaf, at the dawning of the day.
Even of you have no Celtic Ancestry the Bagpipes stir something inside us all. They are my tied for my Favorite Instrument along with Appalachian Mountain Dulcimer.
This was our Regimental Réveillé for the Pipes, sounded directly after the Duty Bugler had sounded Réveillé. Normally it was just the two Soldiers on duty but on certain special dates you would have had the entire Band, Bugles, Pipes and Drums playing it for Réveillé ! Really fond memories and you have really done it justice (like always !). Always adored this piece of music, particularly Luke Kelly singing it as ´On Raglan Road’.
Another beaut my friend! I absolutely LOVE how you captured the morning light behind your silhouette! Looks so majestic. Such a lovely tune...just like you!🌄
The videography here is wonderful, starting with the silhouette of sheer black on a pending sunrise and growing into the full life of day. Very nicely done.
Well done I don't know if you like star wars check out star wars ultimate medley she plays 4 tunes on piano look for the Impieral March her fingers fly over the keyboards not to mention the changes in sences are amazing light and dark side of the force driffent pianos in the four tunes hope you like it
I just downloaded the sheet music… you have such a clean approach to the embellishments - inspiring! Question - I’m thinking of using this tune in my wedding set (processional) or funeral set (walk away)… two very different approaches… thoughts/comments?
Always doing great when I can listen to the beautiful and soothing sound of Dark Isle Bagpiper. Keep it up. You’re bringing sanity to an ever increasing insane world.
I listened to this for the first time in the web series The Crown on Netflix. I like it, i was in search of this tune. Thanks.
A lone piper wakes nature from its slumber how beautiful 🕊️💞
