A tip for anyone else doing this replacement - check your gasket fit against the timing chain cover. Mine had a substantial amount of "extra" gasket for an unused bolt hole that was hitting the timing indicator above the harmonic balancer, pushing the bottom of the gasket up. It wouldn't lie flat until I trimmed this bit off.
doing this tomorrow, what does re RTV a bolt mean? I'm assuming it's used in place of Locktite? just a bit on the threads or just on the end of the bolt?
