For me, the sunroof takes up too much roof and I don’t fit (I’m 6’4”). When we got our CX-90, we had to get the very basic base model because it was the only trim without a sunroof standard.

Agreed on the pricing comment. The technology should not be a limiting factor to lower prices any more. It's too bad consumers haven't flocked to EVs as much as manufacturers have hoped. Price is the number one barrier for me.
My wife and I bought a Chevy Equinox EV 2RS three weeks ago. It was a little cheaper than the Blazer EV and it came with Super cruise. We also thought it looked better, though the Blazer interior is a little nicer. We didn't need the extra room, either. On board Google is fantastic. My wife so far doesn't miss CarPlay at all. No sunroof in ours and we don't miss one. Personally I love the dark interior as it's very.....soothing.... It's a great vehicle so far, but unfortunately, there is a problem with the camera system software, so SC as well as ACC, Parking Assist and collision detect are not working yet. Waiting for a software update from GM..........🙄 to fix.
I had true parking assist on my Ford Fusion Platinum. Parked the car perfectly but slow as heck. Wouldn’t get it again. A lot of angry drivers behind you. Too too slow.
I have to admit that Chevrolet brand now from 2024 is ahead of Ford and Toyota in interior and exterior design in all aspets and this is the first EV with disent characteristics.
As a Tesla owner I can tell you why we don't complain. Because the Tesla UI and the apps it contains are mostly equivalent to AA/Car Play. There are very few apps that you would miss from the AA/CP interfaces (i.e. Waze) that don't exist in the Tesla UI. It's just very intuitive and easy to use. I'd call it very iOS'y in terms of functionality. Plus they keep adding more stuff every time. There's even a Tesla AI/Siri/Gemini voice interface incoming. AA/CP were made to help people get a constant interface in all vehicles they could manage and had all apps. But if the car comes with those apps already and is easy to use, then why do you need to connect the phone? The one's who will miss it the most are the car reviewers that constantly hop in and out of vehicles on a daily/weekly basis. Of course it's an issue for you guys 😅
@adrian8426 I will add, as a Lyriq owner that has AA/CP we quickly switch off from using it because the GM android auto UI just fits the driving experience better. Waze and Plugshare and ABRP all fit nicely with the vehicle stats in the app experience. The appleverse is not tuned to driving and does detract from it. The native GM UI enhances the vehicle functionality nicely.
Tesla owner too who liked CarPlay in my other EVs. The Tesla software works well but my concern before getting a Tesla was the connectivity cost. I find the $99 a year to be a fair price charged be Tesla which has made me miss the CarPlay less. An OTA update brought my Amazon music to Tesla which was another win.
Our GM dealer, Sunshine GMC have sold so many on the coast I see the Blazers often and I talked to my old neighbour who bought one, she has a cleaning service, she says she loves the car as for a work vehicle, your "fuel" cost are so great, drive comfort and space all are just plain excellent! great GM would like to see the GMC Sierra Denali Edition 1 EV truck with that crazy 704km of highway range.
Without a heater, my manual opening charge port doors would freeze shut. Unless GM heat the auto door port opening, the same could happen. They did include battery pre-conditioning which is very important. My concern is the stated charge rate ... 190KWd ... yes, but for how long?? The charge curve is important. I declined my reservation once I found out it really was too slow. Andrea and Zach need to educate new EV buyers beforehand.
@@ScubaSteveCanada You do realize that is completely subjective of where you are in the charging cycle and where the pack voltage is. Also, consider that the 11.5KW A/C side is completely linear and that is where most people charge from 90% or even 95% of the vehicle's life. So how much does it matter? Again - subjective. IMHO the 4 road trips I have taken this year (Lyriq owner) charging has never been an issue (US east coast travels). Same 12 module battery as Blazer RS RWD. Again - slow has not been an issue. I found the review pretty much on target.
Hi guys. Here in the Dominican Republic cars integrated internet and gps systems don't work, so we rely on the availability of Apple Car Play and Android Auto to be able to use GPS / Maps inside our cars. I'm sure that there are a lot of countries in Latin America and Asia with a similar situation. Hopefully car brands start to consider all their clients equally soon.
So great to see GM putting out good products - and they do communicate a desire for doing great ones for us ordinary folks with not a bunch of money to buy on want instead of need. I have a sneaky hunch they are studying how the South Korean's are doing it - which means they have done their homework and evaluation well.
This is soon to be a relic you won't see anyone driving.....$67K CDN for the RS, you can get a Model Y Performance for less than $2000 more. You're never going to convince an EV customer to buy the blazer with over 100HP less than it's competitor. Chevy has lots to still learn before it tries to take on the real players in the EV space.
It looks good for sure… however no CarPlay? Thats an issue for me. I also think their asking price is ludicrous. Everyone knows the EVs need to price downward to break the 30,000 barrier to make them more affordable and sell more units… to the masses and grow sales. So they go in the opposite direction? Another EV for wealthier drivers. Waiting to see what the Kia EV 3 will be in Canada.
Agree with your opinions here. I like the fact it looks "normal". It makes EV transition much easier for many. It gets spendy in higher trims, but all EVs are expensive anyway. I think I'd likely go with Equinox EV, top trim, for $60k, which is about $7k less expensive than higher trims of Blazer. It looks good too, which is nice.
@@billurban1581 The future is EV, but I still think we're 15-20 years away from them being a viable replacement to regular vehicles. Battery technology and composition needs to improve significantly and charging infrastructure needs to improve for widespread adoption. The pricing also needs to come down so people could buy a $25,000 EV that is comparable to a gasoline equivalent today (range, quality, etc).
@@SkyRL25 I haven't driven these, but my parents have a gas Equinox and it's decent enough. It is harder to get a good ride out of most EVs since they are so heavy, then add in the stylish trend of stupidly big wheels and low profile tires. Often ruins the ride. But it is what it is I guess.
@@jeffer1101 Sorry, but the mining, rare metals processing, extreme power grid demands, and likely geo-political turmoil will keep EVs a curiosity, especially when pie-in-the-sky progressives lose elections and incentives are minimized. All the above mentioned negative consequences are reduced by 80/90% with hybrids and PHEVs (my PHEV with 41 mile battery emits less than 1/3rd the harmful emissions coming from the typical 2024 gas only automobile). It just makes sense, etc.
Andrea, you're usually very up to date on your automotive news. For the Equinox EV pricing, GM officially gave up on the $30K US ($37K Cdn) about a year ago. As a 2025, expect $35K US base Equinox. Cdn pricing unconfirmed. Base Equinox, according to 2025 order guide, will have same battery, range & screen size as other trims (which was not the case in the initially proposed $30K 1LT)
The one thing I can see failing here in Ontario Canada is that slow opening and closing charge door. With our freezing rain and snow that would be completely inoperable. Why are the seats so flattened, so 70-80s old school on a modern EV 🤷🏻
I guess GM thought people would think it was cool, but it’s a turn off to me. Seems impractical and over engineered. Just waiting to break. The simple electric opening door of the Ioniq 5 or the Model Y seems a lot better to me. Cool but practical too. Anyway, I’m here for anyone who wants to complain about that charge door. 😊
@@Andre-cj3ec Yes, I’m surprised the charge door of the Blazers made it out of development. All that extra engineering and it’s not even fun. I like the charge doors on the Model Y and Ioniq 5 as they open electronically but are simple and elegant. But I’d take manual over that slow awkward charge port on the Blazer. Not a deal breaker though.
I was interested in this as my next vehicle but not at that price. I’d rather pay a bit more and get the Lyric. At least the Lyric comes with Apple CarPlay
Zach’s comment about Tesla and Apple CarPlay. The teslaratti would never complain about a missing feature. I take a lot of Uber rides in Tesla EV’s. They all have their iphone (even seen an iPad) mounted to the dash right beside the Tesla display and use it exclusively accept to change the temperature in the car. I think not having carplay is a major miss.

No NACS charging port - just like the Lyriq. The Equinox EV for 2025 is apparently not going to get it either, at least as they launch. Why spend all this money and get a vehicle that doesn't have the standard that we are all going to go to in North America?
I test drove an AWD Blazer and I think it’s practical EV which has no real competition for the price and size. The size is a turnoff to me but for someone wanting a larger EV it would be attractive at the prices it is actually selling for and also with the tax credit. Or step down to the Equinox which is just a little smaller. I find the packaging odd because to get everything I’d want in the Blazer I’d have to get the RWD or wait for the SS version. Here in the US you can’t get the AWD fully loaded. I also test drove the sister car, the Honda Prologue and I liked it more but I don’t have any faith that Honda will support the vehicle beyond a few years. The Honda salesman didn’t seem to even like having the car on the lot and told me flat out he didn’t like the car. But you can get the Prologue pretty fully loaded, though someone complained that it didn’t have lane centering or something. You also can’t get the huge battery that is available in the RWD and the SS Blazers.
@@ERJ175 first, fewer and fewer cars will have CarPlay because it doesn’t get updated enough and licensing is insane; second, GM’a tech has always been top-notch.
The comparisons you listed I thought the had way higher starting prices. So in my eyes this is a great deal. Also thank you about responding to CarPlay and how Tesla does not have this feature and have had no complaint. Great review! This is seriously one on my buying list. The only thing I wonder for AWD could it handle going into the snow or would I still need chains.

Tesla charges $99 a year for premium connectivity and GM charges $550 a year for on star premium connectivity. So I can live without CarPlay on a Tesla because I can use music streaming apps for $99 a year, On Star wants $55 a month. That’s why no CarPlay is an issue.

It's very normal-looking. But I know people who think the opposite, that the gas models look like EVs 😅 And it fits GM's "aggressive" design language. If my SO got one, we could contrast the "sporty and aggressive" Blazer with my "cheery and dorky" ID.4 😊
new vancouver condos has such small parking spaces, this wouldn't fit in most of them. Also in this economy (now with the rail strike). The price is just way too high to be competitive
Right now the Chevy OS is very bare bones but they added a good and snappy processor, 30gb of memory and 5g connectivity with a really nice size and crispy infotainment screen so I think they plan to add more to the software with time just like Tesla.
EV's really needs a longer factory warranty for me to even consider one. I have heard too many reviews of issue's with this Blazer. Check out Edmunds issue's with their Blazer.
When the technology evolves to the 700+ miles range and universal common market solid state batteries that have quick charging with a long warranty, I may then take some level of interest and actually consider an EV as a viable vehicle that may suit my needs.
If I had to… I mean if I really HAD to… purchase an Electric Vehicle and… that I’d like to look at… I suppose it might be on that VERY short list. But… and it is a strong but… at around or approaching $70,000 dollars… you start getting awfully close in price to the current ‘previously loved’ (read ‘used’/CP0) Porsche Taycan 4 Cross options. So, if I had to… if I really truly HAD to… Sure this Blazer is great looking, for what it is and it’s typical competitors, but come on… this new Blazer or a ‘slightly used’ Taycan Cross Turismo… for the same kinda money? Luckily, I’m not looking for any EV any time soon (ever?). Thanks for the video.

There’s a millisecond delay when accelerating, unlike the Ioniq5, Kona EV, or Mach E where acceleration is instantaneous. Charge port feels rickety. We have the blue RS AWD and it may look sporty but it’s not eye-catching unlike the Ioniq5, Tesla, or Mach-E. We haven’t been stopped and asked about charging, range, etc. since we traded in our Ioniq5 for this one.

I think the one thing I would miss is white or light colour seats (what about it Chevy), I picked white seats for My Tesla Model Y much brighter on the interior. So much I liked Light Colour seats I dropped my EV6 reservation and opted for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (limited equivalent) with the light grey (I would say white) coloured interior & seats, but only that I had bad luck with that Ioniq 5 that I bought the Tesla Model Y to replace it for our road tripper.
Well, I love your show and I’ve been watching it for years. But after the last, several years of watching and listening to the EV, pros and cons, I am certainly not, definitely not going to be getting an EV in my lifetime. As a senior citizen in my mid 70s, I am no more interested in an EV than I am going to the moon. Consequently, I can’t even get through your videos now with these EV’s. Perhaps the time for EV’s will be when my six-year-old grandson is old enough to drive. Hopefully I’ll be around long enough to see that happen,. I’m even hedging my bets now on hybrids because of all the issues that I read on the various Facebook groups that I belong to about problems with hybrids. A brand new car runs like a brand new car, but let it get a few years under its belt and it’s a totally different story and you don’t deal with those often enough. Anyway, I do enjoy your shows and I am certainly going to continue watching and waiting to see the cars that I’m interested in which I’ve commented on in the past.
That is a microscopic rear glass. The whole thing is overwrought for my taste. So now we have piano black on the outside to give that 2017 floating roof look? I’m sure lots of people will like it just fine.
I am interested in the Trailblazer Activ, and one of the things that deters me is the black headliner. The entire interior is black, and it looks like I would be sitting in a small cave. Why do car companies do stupid things like that?
I like it but I do agree with you guys that the interior is too dark, and the red interior is too "boy racer". Call me an old man but give me a beige or lighter gray! 😂 The price isn't cheap but if you compare it to the Lyriq the lower end Lyriq is missing features this has like the ventilated seats.
Not a comment on the Blazer, but of the mentality at Chevrolet. Why put so much effort in making so many different variants of the same model. Wouldn't it be better to take some of the same (EV) tech and put it in a model like the Traxx, at a lower price point customers might actually come back to the brand and stay in in for future vehicles.
I think it’s good that they are making dedicated EVs but I do have to wonder at creating an Equinox EV and Blazer EV that are only inches apart. Especially since GM has struggled to launch them. Some manufacturers have designed cars that are meant to be a regular ICE car, a hybrid, a plug in hybrid and an EV. I think that can work well. But I’m sure you still have to make compromises.

Sidebar: Being a software company also allows Tesla to get around certain laws and prohibitions regulating auto makers and auto dealers.

The prices are ridiculous, money wise, i prefer buying a well equiped mercedes GLA, GLB and even GLC for this price or an alfa romeo stelvio. I would drive a VF8 instead too the price is way better then this. Some remarks on this: way too expensive, terrible warranty, made in Mexico, would want Carplay and Android Auto, insurance nightmare, and the reason people would look back at it as there walking away is to see if it's on fire!
5:28 the brake lights doubling as the turn signals are unacceptable and need to be illegal already. How is it 2024 and GM is still incapable of designing proper taillights with separate running, brake and amber turn signals? It's utterly baffling. The more things change with GM, the more things stay the same...
I am reading the same things you are online, but it seems to be brand dependent? For example my Toyota dealer can’t give away their BZ4X inventory, but the Chevy dealer on my way to work had a shipment of ev blazers come in a few weeks ago and as of yesterday I don’t see any on the lot anymore…
@Fabulousprofound168 Perhaps. Where I live, there's a Kia dealer with dozens of "$5000 Rebate" signs on their cars. All EV's. And, the rebate is presented as a "sale", but is really federal government money. I'm not convinced any dealer is really doing great business on the EV side.
the whole apple carplay and android auto thing is wild, 1) your car should have a good system (like in tesla) 2) concentrate on driving, stop being so "connected"
The main problem is people will keep a car for 10 years and the manufacturers don't do good updates over the years. With screen mirror features everything runs on your phone and you phone always updates and can change when you get a new phone. If anything the in car stuff should be basic and everything should just use android/iOS.

I think sunroofs should be an option on all trims(all brands) Many people do not use them or want them, but still want features on higher trims.

A lot of people don't like that large and heavy piece of glass over your head. It cost at least $1500+ added to price

I agree with you. Look at the new Trax. It was designed by GM's Korean division.

It looks good for sure… however no CarPlay? Thats an issue for me. I also think their asking price is ludicrous. Everyone knows the EVs need to price downward to break the 30,000 barrier to make them more affordable and sell more units… to the masses and grow sales. So they go in the opposite direction? Another EV for wealthier drivers. Waiting to see what the Kia EV 3 will be in Canada.

Agree with your opinions here. I like the fact it looks "normal". It makes EV transition much easier for many. It gets spendy in higher trims, but all EVs are expensive anyway. I think I'd likely go with Equinox EV, top trim, for $60k, which is about $7k less expensive than higher trims of Blazer. It looks good too, which is nice.

@@billurban1581 The future is EV, but I still think we're 15-20 years away from them being a viable replacement to regular vehicles. Battery technology and composition needs to improve significantly and charging infrastructure needs to improve for widespread adoption. The pricing also needs to come down so people could buy a $25,000 EV that is comparable to a gasoline equivalent today (range, quality, etc).

@@SkyRL25 I haven't driven these, but my parents have a gas Equinox and it's decent enough. It is harder to get a good ride out of most EVs since they are so heavy, then add in the stylish trend of stupidly big wheels and low profile tires. Often ruins the ride. But it is what it is I guess.
@@jeffer1101 Sorry, but the mining, rare metals processing, extreme power grid demands, and likely geo-political turmoil will keep EVs a curiosity, especially when pie-in-the-sky progressives lose elections and incentives are minimized.
All the above mentioned negative consequences are reduced by 80/90% with hybrids and PHEVs (my PHEV with 41 mile battery emits less than 1/3rd the harmful emissions coming from the typical 2024 gas only automobile).
It just makes sense, etc.

Andrea, you're usually very up to date on your automotive news. For the Equinox EV pricing, GM officially gave up on the $30K US ($37K Cdn) about a year ago. As a 2025, expect $35K US base Equinox. Cdn pricing unconfirmed. Base Equinox, according to 2025 order guide, will have same battery, range & screen size as other trims (which was not the case in the initially proposed $30K 1LT)

The one thing I can see failing here in Ontario Canada is that slow opening and closing charge door. With our freezing rain and snow that would be completely inoperable.

I guess GM thought people would think it was cool, but it’s a turn off to me. Seems impractical and over engineered. Just waiting to break. The simple electric opening door of the Ioniq 5 or the Model Y seems a lot better to me. Cool but practical too. Anyway, I’m here for anyone who wants to complain about that charge door. 😊

@@Andre-cj3ec Yes, I’m surprised the charge door of the Blazers made it out of development. All that extra engineering and it’s not even fun. I like the charge doors on the Model Y and Ioniq 5 as they open electronically but are simple and elegant. But I’d take manual over that slow awkward charge port on the Blazer. Not a deal breaker though.
I was interested in this as my next vehicle but not at that price. I’d rather pay a bit more and get the Lyric. At least the Lyric comes with Apple CarPlay
Zach’s comment about Tesla and Apple CarPlay. The teslaratti would never complain about a missing feature. I take a lot of Uber rides in Tesla EV’s. They all have their iphone (even seen an iPad) mounted to the dash right beside the Tesla display and use it exclusively accept to change the temperature in the car. I think not having carplay is a major miss.

Current GM owner. I took the Equinox EV off my shortlist after they removed CarPlay. I’ll only buy a car that has it.

I actually like the dark interior. The ones with colors are nice as well, I just prefer the more toned down look inside.

No NACS charging port - just like the Lyriq. The Equinox EV for 2025 is apparently not going to get it either, at least as they launch. Why spend all this money and get a vehicle that doesn't have the standard that we are all going to go to in North America?

Would the blazer be worth for 38k? With the reduction in price, dealer discounts, and 7500 tax credit im seeing this price now.
I test drove an AWD Blazer and I think it’s practical EV which has no real competition for the price and size. The size is a turnoff to me but for someone wanting a larger EV it would be attractive at the prices it is actually selling for and also with the tax credit. Or step down to the Equinox which is just a little smaller. I find the packaging odd because to get everything I’d want in the Blazer I’d have to get the RWD or wait for the SS version. Here in the US you can’t get the AWD fully loaded. I also test drove the sister car, the Honda Prologue and I liked it more but I don’t have any faith that Honda will support the vehicle beyond a few years. The Honda salesman didn’t seem to even like having the car on the lot and told me flat out he didn’t like the car. But you can get the Prologue pretty fully loaded, though someone complained that it didn’t have lane centering or something. You also can’t get the huge battery that is available in the RWD and the SS Blazers.
Not having CarPlay is a firm deal-breaker.

You can still connect to your phone via bluetooth and play itunes from there.

@@ERJ175 first, fewer and fewer cars will have CarPlay because it doesn’t get updated enough and licensing is insane; second, GM’a tech has always been top-notch.

The comparisons you listed I thought the had way higher starting prices. So in my eyes this is a great deal. Also thank you about responding to CarPlay and how Tesla does not have this feature and have had no complaint. Great review! This is seriously one on my buying list. The only thing I wonder for AWD could it handle going into the snow or would I still need chains.

Tesla charges $99 a year for premium connectivity and GM charges $550 a year for on star premium connectivity. So I can live without CarPlay on a Tesla because I can use music streaming apps for $99 a year, On Star wants $55 a month. That’s why no CarPlay is an issue.

new vancouver condos has such small parking spaces, this wouldn't fit in most of them. Also in this economy (now with the rail strike). The price is just way too high to be competitive
Right now the Chevy OS is very bare bones but they added a good and snappy processor, 30gb of memory and 5g connectivity with a really nice size and crispy infotainment screen so I think they plan to add more to the software with time just like Tesla.
Sorry, look at the 1969-72 K5 Blazer and explain how this red electric coffee maker warrants the name.
It's better than the 1995-2005 version, so it's back to even I guess.

I don't see any reason why to buy this over an Equinox EV. An Equinox 3LT AWD is 57k ie 7k less than an ID4 AWD Pro S
The Blazer is a little larger in the back seat and in width, with a nicer interior and better interior colors.
EV's really needs a longer factory warranty for me to even consider one. I have heard too many reviews of issue's with this Blazer. Check out Edmunds issue's with their Blazer.
In the US it's mandated that these EV's come with an 8 year warranty on the motors and battery.

When the technology evolves to the 700+ miles range and universal common market solid state batteries that have quick charging with a long warranty, I may then take some level of interest and actually consider an EV as a viable vehicle that may suit my needs.

If I had to… I mean if I really HAD to… purchase an Electric Vehicle and… that I’d like to look at… I suppose it might be on that VERY short list. But… and it is a strong but… at around or approaching $70,000 dollars… you start getting awfully close in price to the current ‘previously loved’ (read ‘used’/CP0) Porsche Taycan 4 Cross options. So, if I had to… if I really truly HAD to… Sure this Blazer is great looking, for what it is and it’s typical competitors, but come on… this new Blazer or a ‘slightly used’ Taycan Cross Turismo… for the same kinda money? Luckily, I’m not looking for any EV any time soon (ever?). Thanks for the video.

@@ytj22 Yes. Prefer some standardization and the better integration to a phone. Saw somewhere that the GM version might become subscription based after the first couple of years you get for free.

There’s a millisecond delay when accelerating, unlike the Ioniq5, Kona EV, or Mach E where acceleration is instantaneous. Charge port feels rickety. We have the blue RS AWD and it may look sporty but it’s not eye-catching unlike the Ioniq5, Tesla, or Mach-E. We haven’t been stopped and asked about charging, range, etc. since we traded in our Ioniq5 for this one.
Take it out of eco mode. There is no delay with my rs awd.

Which makes me wonder why you’re experiencing acceleration lag.
I think the one thing I would miss is white or light colour seats (what about it Chevy), I picked white seats for My Tesla Model Y much brighter on the interior. So much I liked Light Colour seats I dropped my EV6 reservation and opted for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (limited equivalent) with the light grey (I would say white) coloured interior & seats, but only that I had bad luck with that Ioniq 5 that I bought the Tesla Model Y to replace it for our road tripper.
I like the light colored seats too. So tired of black/charcoal.
Well, I love your show and I’ve been watching it for years. But after the last, several years of watching and listening to the EV, pros and cons, I am certainly not, definitely not going to be getting an EV in my lifetime. As a senior citizen in my mid 70s, I am no more interested in an EV than I am going to the moon. Consequently, I can’t even get through your videos now with these EV’s. Perhaps the time for EV’s will be when my six-year-old grandson is old enough to drive. Hopefully I’ll be around long enough to see that happen,. I’m even hedging my bets now on hybrids because of all the issues that I read on the various Facebook groups that I belong to about problems with hybrids. A brand new car runs like a brand new car, but let it get a few years under its belt and it’s a totally different story and you don’t deal with those often enough. Anyway, I do enjoy your shows and I am certainly going to continue watching and waiting to see the cars that I’m interested in which I’ve commented on in the past.

That is a microscopic rear glass. The whole thing is overwrought for my taste. So now we have piano black on the outside to give that 2017 floating roof look? I’m sure lots of people will like it just fine.
Licensing fees for Apple Carplay and Andriod Auto charged to automakers must be ridiculous.
I am interested in the Trailblazer Activ, and one of the things that deters me is the black headliner.
The entire interior is black, and it looks like I would be sitting in a small cave.

Not a comment on the Blazer, but of the mentality at Chevrolet. Why put so much effort in making so many different variants of the same model.
Wouldn't it be better to take some of the same (EV) tech and put it in a model like the Traxx, at a lower price point customers might actually come back to the brand and stay in in for future vehicles.
I think it’s good that they are making dedicated EVs but I do have to wonder at creating an Equinox EV and Blazer EV that are only inches apart. Especially since GM has struggled to launch them. Some manufacturers have designed cars that are meant to be a regular ICE car, a hybrid, a plug in hybrid and an EV. I think that can work well. But I’m sure you still have to make compromises.

theres nooooo way this is enough for me to switch or even consider it for my next car. The prices are ridiculous, money wise, i prefer buying a well equiped mercedes GLA, GLB and even GLC for this price or an alfa romeo stelvio. I would drive a VF8 instead too the price is way better then this. I can't believe people buy this, thats the reason they keep the prices like this, people have the power to decide but instead we fuel the EV market

I would not want to buy an EV for my driving trips. Some remarks on this: way too expensive, terrible warranty, made in Mexico, would want Carplay and Android Auto, insurance nightmare, and the reason people would look back at it as there walking away is to see if it's on fire!

5:28 the brake lights doubling as the turn signals are unacceptable and need to be illegal already. How is it 2024 and GM is still incapable of designing proper taillights with separate running, brake and amber turn signals? It's utterly baffling. I am reading the same things you are online, but it seems to be brand dependent? For example my Toyota dealer can’t give away their BZ4X inventory, but the Chevy dealer on my way to work had a shipment of ev blazers come in a few weeks ago and as of yesterday I don’t see any on the lot anymore…
@Fabulousprofound168 Perhaps. Where I live, there's a Kia dealer with dozens of "$5000 Rebate" signs on their cars. All EV's. And, the rebate is presented as a "sale", but is really federal government money. I'm not convinced any dealer is really doing great business on the EV side.

the whole apple carplay and android auto thing is wild,
1) your car should have a good system (like in tesla)
2) concentrate on driving, stop being so "connected"
The main problem is people will keep a car for 10 years and the manufacturers don't do good updates over the years. With screen mirror features everything runs on your phone and you phone always updates and can change when you get a new phone. If anything the in car stuff should be basic and everything should just use android/iOS.
