You’re living your best life, brotha, thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Really digging your editing style and presentation. Keep ‘em coming!
Great videos,Travis. Keep them coming. I’m planning on visiting next year. Been living in Cozumel, MX on and off since the 70’s. This place looks bomb & I am a So-Cal surf bum. And love the food !❤
Many thanks for the video! I was wondering if you can pay by card in the cofee shops. Maybe you could do a video on places where you can pay by card in Da Nang. My understanding is that Vietnam is cash orientated but very practical to pay by card so I think a video on where you can pay by card would come in handy for many viewers.
Visited for three weeks this month: convenience stores and most restaurants do take cards. Sometimes the employee would hotspot their phone to the reader but they were widely accepted, anywhere with a physical cash register really. Check with your CC if they charge a (3%) fee. Was told by an expat Cap1 has no ATM fees with a checking account. Street food is cash but cheaper than restaurants, and yummier typically, so the tradeoff is worth it. FYI you cannot link a card to Grab (their version of Uber/Lyft) without a text verification, so I could only pay cash to drivers. Simultaneously, they prefer to avoid the app to maximize gains so you can negotiate a price beforehand, checking the app for the current rate, and both come out ahead. Visit if you have the means! Beach side has a great, low percent money exchange (jewelry store Tiem vang Khaki Hoan III). People are genuine, and crime is low. Felt safer there than any vacation or back home.
Its probably about 50/50 if you can pay by card. Any decent size shop will be ok, just not small local places. It is easy to withdraw money or exchange so cash is better.
Banh mi is very hit or miss. I've got a couple decent spots but I'm currently checking out different spots to find some new ones. Going to do a video on this soon.
"Almost half a million views lol, you must be on cloud 9! Congrats dude, you finally did it." I left that comment on your viral video. Maybe you remember 🤪 Keep going dude! Your content is fantastic and THIS is the point that really tests most youtubers. Having one video blow up and then kind of back to normal. You're going to be super successful if you keep up this quality of content bro - I really enjoy it.
G'day Travis, You are absolutely killing Kellie and I with your video. Saturday night absolutely freezing cold in Melbourne, got a 530 am start on the docks Sunday morning. Eating pizza enjoying your video. A coconut coffee here in Melbourne $9 aussie & probably not as good as yours. Kellie made me a banana coffee this morning & every Sunday we treat ourselves to Vietnamese Coffee we make at home we let it drip overnight. That last coffee our mouths were watering watching you enjoying it, you have to make a video on Da Nang donuts. Great video take care Travis Cheers Louis & Kellie from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺
Hey Travis, may I ask, How is Da Nang for juli? From 15th-30th, i got some free time and rly want to book the tickets to fly down just for 15 days in total. A solo trip from Norway. Mainly for research and check it out, never been to Vietnam, but i got vietnamese parents and speak some vietnamese haha. I rly wanne bring my Norwegian wife and our 5 kids to Vietnam in January 2025 for 2 weeks before Tet kicks in. Ty so much in advance, love your contens!
July will be pretty hot but if you're ok with that then a good time to come. January is a good time for the family, maybe a bit of rain but should be pretty nice weather. Please let me know if you have any questions before your visit.
I didn’t realize Vietnam had such a big coffee culture, and is the second biggest coffee exporter in the world.

Great video 👍 👌
You should host your own tours. Id love to go there and you be my guide, ride around show 1st hand.
Not a bad idea, maybe in the future. But i'd be happy to show people around 👍
Trav I totally agree and have thought you should have tours.♥️
