it's so cool that you can just stroll to the local market to grab a bite or grocery shopping. here in the states you have to drive to everything. hopefully, i can go back to see the motherland someday. peace from Cali!

    G’day Travis & Loan,
So happy it has worked out for both of you the big move.
Back in 2011 when I first visited. Da Nang, my Vietnamese GF & I stayed near the soccer stadium for about a week & I absolutely loved it mingling with the locals.
I remember walking through the market & all the Aunties coming up & touching me because Westerners wouldn’t venture in these areas of Da Nang.
Plus my GF was showing me off.
Da Nang best of both worlds, love what you ate.
    Take care you 2.
    Cheers
Louis & Kellie from Melbourne, Australia 👍 🇦🇺

In Vietnam, foreigners are warmly and massively encouraged by locals, even for making a tiny effort to learn the language. I rarely see it in other countries. Especially in English-speaking countries, speaking English is just a basic expectation.

Travis, what a great vlog, especially if you live in the country or you have desires to move here. Knowing the language speaks volumes. I’ve been to enough different countries to know if you can speak the lango, you are in.
