Looks great - would love a digital version of the manual. Any chance you can post it somewhere online - I'd gladly pay a small fee.

I have one but it is one of a headache. I don't think it can cut 8cm thick wood. I don't know if it is any better than a scroll saw. What is the maximum thickness you've sawn? I am trying to figure whether it is worth buying a new blade and tuning it.

Hello mate, thanks for the video. I’ve had the bd 339 for about 35 plus years but never used it. I think my dad bought it it only used it for light work and it’s been in my garage loft ever since. Eventually I’ve got some time on my hands to have some playtime hence it’s out the loft.
The saw works great but te only problem I’ve came across is which wheel does the blades run on. Mine has 3 settings on the drive wheel and the saw blade was in the smallest runner which is the one nearest as you open the cover. However the blade guides and bearings where a mile off and no way were they gonna reach the blade so after a bit of head scratching I’ve realised that the middle pully is the belt and the largest wheel must be the blade. What put me off was the fact that this wheel has a rubber grommet over it. At first I thought it was to blank it off bit now I’m thinking it’s to keep a grip of the blade. After a lot of frustration the blade is on but cutting anything but square. It’s the original blade so I’m gonna buy a new one but does this sound like I’ve got the blade running on the correct pully. Also any chance of emailing a copy of that instruction booklet please. Cheers Dave.

Sounds like you've been having the same problem as me. Wherein, the blade is on the wheels and guided through the bearings. There are adjustments knobs for the large wheel above the cutting bed. As for the belt, make sure that stays tight and hasn't slackened. If it has, either replace it or soak it in hot water. Speaking of the belt, it's actually been a while since I last used my bandsaw since the blade snapped and I haven't bought a new one yet. You don't realise how much you depend on it until you can't use it. I don't remember what position I had the belt on. Hope this was helpful
