I second that ! In my cab riding time i always got out with back pain (opel, mercedes, skoda etc) and in our own volvo i can drive for hour's with no trouble😎
@@formatique_arschloch Not crap quality but real leather which isn't as durable as the man made stuff like Mercedes artico or Bmws dakota both of which aren't leather at all.
Big change in the leather before and after. Nice to see a cautious approach with the magic sponge. I've seen many times how leather can be damaged due to them being abrasive and people being too aggressive with them.
Good work fella. I just bought a 12 year old mondo estate owned by an old guy with mobility issues so he couldn't really clean the car and it was pretty grotty. The tips on this video (drill brush on carpets, unbolting the seats and cleaning brushes) and highlighting useful products really helped and it's looking amazing now. By the way, the Autofinesse cleaner is excellent.
My first car was a V70, it had a similar interior just a bit more cream coloured. The car was this really nice dark green aswell. And it was also the previous version/generation with a 2.5l Diesel
Top marks you've put a lot of effort in there. A detailer would want a lot of your money to come out and do all the work you have done to you're car. The music is spot on!!!!
Great job detailing the interior. I'd definitely keep this Volvo as a daily rather than an audi! Such a comfortable, smooth and quiet ride. Reliable. Great sound. Good on fuel. Fits so much in it. Wish i had the wagon, I only have the S60. Only bummer is the audio upgrades being such a headache.
While on Lock down i have been sorting the paint work out on the wife's 2004 Toyota Estima import. Over time its got scratches all over so i decided to get the machine polisher out and have it look good again. It has taken me 8 hours of hard labour and its now looking great, next job is the interior.
That's the deepest clean I've seen on a car and that's a lot of car to clean. I like the Volvo V70s. luxury and practical. I would like one but for a decent V70 your talking a fair amount of money. Yours is gleaming now. 😁✨
Torque Steer am I right in thinking APC is all purpose cleaner? Also do you know any good body shops in liverpool? Need to get some damage fixed and a respray
liked and subscribed, bought a v70 like this one for ~7000€. Gonna do a lot of detailing too in next time, enjoying your ideas. only thing I didn't find any solutions yet is how to fix cracks in the paint (especially around loading zone)
Very good advice, Luke. Thank you! I (and some others) have difficulty following your commentary. Is there any chance you could tweet your enunciation slightly, or just slow it down a wee bit? Much appreciated and keep up the good work👍🏻
Sitting drinking wine in bed at 1 in the morning totally engrossed in a car detailing video (wtf?!). But so satisfying seeing all that dirt lifted. Although I'm guessing the 80's muzak is royalty free and that's why you're using it? I keep expecting a german gang bang involving perms and big moustaches to pop up any second...
Brill video we a got a Volvo v60 estate on a 15 plate my other hall use it and I’ve got a seat exeo estate on 62 plate it’s a very nice car just like my old A4 keep up the good work
Torque Steer I use seat all the time my other haf use Volvo seat just a4 it 2liter tdi been remapped by done old owner to 220 bhp need upgrade the radio has got old a4 satnav unit and is out of date
Very nice job mate it looks cracking! One question though....how long did this massive beast take you to clean? I bet you could clean your house quicker than this car!! 😂😂😂
I clean leather steering wheels with a warm damp mf cloth, then a soft nailbrush which i draw across a bar of unscented moisturing soap. lather well all over the leather wheel. clean off with warm wrung out cloth. let dry & buff with dry clean mf cloth. Clean, non-greasy, non-shiny, but moisturised leather wheel. If any colour is worn off, fix with liquid leather polish (cherry tree or similar)
I've been sat watching these videos as I've got a V70, but thought you looked familiar... I was at college at the same time as you - different course but definitely saw you about the place. I thought I recognised your face!
If anyone has ideas about following this video, DO NOT remove the plastic end covers from the seat rails unless you absolutely have to remove the seats for some reason. The plastic tabs that hold these bits of plastic trim in place will break.
Pretty high spec example, yours has the ruched leather option which looks a bit more padded than normal, unfortunately usually seems to crack and wear more quickly
Those magic erasers really do a good job at loosening ground in grime. I have a V50 with cream leather, and they got all the grime out. I used a leather filler on the deep cracks, then a colour matched colourant and restorer to bring back the colour. And my seats looked like new when I'd finished, I was well impressed with the results. Great job btw, your car has probably doubled in value.
@@TorqueSteer shame about this current lock down. The engines are rough and ready to go 😁 but so much pull! I have the automatic box also. Can be a little lumpy at low speeds but put your foot down and it's awesome. The only issue I have with it. Is its ALWAYS looking for 4th gear. So have to lock it in 3rd now an then when I want to play. Coming up to 80k miles and I won't be considering a change for a loooong time. Enjoy it man. I think you will be happy when you get out in it. Looks sweat after that detail though wish I had a drive. Have a good day. Weather is grand
Nodwaa understandable. I’m from the Netherlands and I drive around everyday to keep my car in top condition. Some people I know don’t do that and they have problems with starting their cars. We are still allowed to drive around, luckily.
Volvo has some of the best seats in the entire car industry
Kam and carpet! It’s lush lol

Great job, just did exactly the same on my new to me D5, has taken me around 8 hours just on the interior alone
Wow! What an incredible transformation. It puts my (similar) S80 to shame.
Made me want a v70 lol, big comfy barge
A really awrsome car. We have the XC version of this. love it. Older model 2003 and almost 500 000 km driven D5. still and awesome car
My dad bought a 2005 S60 and the seats are comfy. I think the seats in these cars were noted to be the comfiest at the time
When you own a volvo you have to worry about what your crashing into.
I just bought one for 1200$, runs like a champ
Amazing work Luke! Looking forward to seeing the external detail!
What an amazing job you’ve done there luke, very satisfying to watch and you’re a professional at this stuff. Can’t wait for more content on the V70!
WHAT. Please come do this with my V70. I love the way you put so much effort in cleaning the car.

Currently i’m the proud owner of a V40 2020, but next year i has to make room for this car!
Good work! When you sit in that trunk you remind me of a young Dave Gahan 🙂
Brushed up nicely --- amazing difference in the leather seats
Lol I literally just got up less than 30 seconds ago and your notification already came up
Great work, Luke. 👍The interior looks brand new. 😎
Take it easy, everyone. 👍
Hi Luke, great video, what a difference it's made by giving the interior a detail especially the seats,I will be watching the exterior video as well.
I love these V70'S and the D5 engine's are great, looking forward to the Exterior Detail great work!
Nice work Luke... That 50/50 leather comparison is amazing👌👍
Volvo plastics clean up very well as well with the quality of the leather seats,as a detailer Volvo has the best leather and interior carpets :D
Brilliant that Luke. Can’t believe how well the steering wheel came up. Well done
Thanks Richard. It feels matte now and not greasy haha.

the 4-spoke wheel looks so weird in P2 cars, so used to my 3-spoke wheel!
Luke, you really did a magnificent job on that V70! I take my hat off to you. How long did the whole clean-up take you?
Awesome work 👍
Incredible job 👌🏻
Great job great video this was the same deep clean I gave my Volvo when I got it. How many days did it take you.
thats a subscribe from me, I love the way you treat this car. really makes me wanna get one.

How much would it cost for a detailer to do what you have done in this video?
