Numatic (Henry) vacuum cleaners are amazingly easy to repair, ours broke in a similar way, wouldn't turn on at all. It just required a new PCB (very easy to replace) and cost like a fiver. Really nice work on this car, 100% satisfaction level!
I had mine repaired 4 years ago, i aguired it in the early 1990s used it at work cleaning boilers out, its now in semi retierment as a dust extractor for my work shop
Your video brought back fond memories of my detailing days. It was always a good day when I found a Volvo in my bay because I knew that it was going to look better than new once I finished. You're right about quality cars cleaning up nicely; Volvos are such satisfying cars to detail.
My moms car does, she has 3 kids, an auto immune disease, and a vascular disease and since ive shipped out she literally has no time to keep up on the car. I try not to judge cars and unless i know the owner is healthy.
This is a fun channel. I spend 80% of the time enjoying the detailing process and about 20% of the time re-winding parts of it over and over trying to figure out what he just said. :)
Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. When I was in high school, the first Toyota 4x4 trucks started arriving in the US. I believe it was around 1979 or 1980. I wanted one of those trucks SO BAD. I hung out at the small Toyota dealership in our town all the time. But I was a student and even though they were only around $10,000 US, I couldn't come close to owning one. Over the years I've owned several small trucks, including Isuzu and Mazda and 3 Ford Rangers, but never a Toyota 4x4. I really love your videos, thank you for sharing your experience.
The car I've always wanted but never managed to get is that car right there, I love the Volvo v70 I like the space and how roomy they are, less common in the states though unless you want a brand new version of if it
Amazing job! You're right about buying old top-end cars, their quality stands out a mile, even with all that misuse they receive. Cheers from France, Andy.
My dad bought a Peugeot 205 GTi two years ago. His dream car, when he was younger. Had it on the lift yesterday to get it ready for the road again after the winter. Looking forward to throw it around again!
Perfectly highlights one of the many reasons I love Volvos, they're just build to last. Everything in them, carpets to headlining, to plastics and vinyl. Got to ask why you didn't treat the exterior plastic trim though!
I'm gonna be honest... stumbled onto this video while UA-cam surfing as you do..... Amazing! I'm pretty OCD about keeping my car clean, but this has actually inspired me to go that extra mile. Nice job done.
Yeah, that. Its the sunshine bouncing around inside the camera lens, in between the different glass elements. If they are not coated properly, or they are a little on the cheap side, it can lead to these effects. Either that, or the aliens have decided to visit a small company up north! :P

We had a contract with the local prestige dealerships like Ferrari, Benz, Audi etc. I was trained by a fellow called Mick Hearn and I thought we did a good job, until I saw your videos and you take it to the next level with your detailed work.. 😉😀
A mark 2 Jaguar is one that I’ve always wanted after a mate of mine at college had a good win on the horses and bought an old one with his winnings. Took me for a spin in it and I’ve wanted one ever since. That was 40 years ago.
If it was the AWD version, I'd race you there to buy it (assuming he's selling of course). 🙂 These really are fabulous cars. I do airport transfers part tine and the whole fleet (except for the MPVs) are Volvo. V70, S80 and V90. They have the Stigma of being an old man's car...having driven them for years now; they're certainly no old man's car. I love these things.
Love your inthousium and attention to detail .I have a 2004 v70 runs on LPG best car ever .over the years had a lot of hot hatches including the 1.9 g t i Peugeot but I think the volvo is my favourite .keep up the good work👍
Lovely job!! I have a Volvo V70 Tdi from 1998 now... just bought it.... only 200K miles on it... bought the car from the first owner... looks like new!!
Wonderful work and a wonderful car. I always wanted the V70 since they were new. I remember reviewing them as a car journalist in the 2005-2006 and I couldn't afford them then. I totaly stand behind the claim in the vid, that if you want V70, buy one now. I did last summer and after 25 000 km I'm still happiest man on the planet. I switched from another brand from a similar car I had from new and the twice as old V70 is just on another level. I love the car, which is no surprise, cause I'm no stranger to volvo's. I had 240, 740 and 850 and V70 is just a logical step forward. But again, I must say - very impressive work on the car. I coudn't believe how beautiful you were able to make the ashtray you brought home... :-)
Man, you should have seen this 95 Camry I resurrected - inside, outside, and mechanically. I had to repaint the hood and decklid, replace the fuel injectors, new intake manifold gaskets, and other tuneup items. Then the interior was a complete nightmare! Worse than this volvo, but your attention to detail is exceptional and reminds me of my own. I also picked up a few tips from you! Great vid! Now I need to clean the hell out of my daily driver from everything that's collected in it over the winter. As for a car that I've always wanted - there are so many. But for now, I'm going to say a Buick Grand National. I doubt you ever had them there, so you might have to look them up to see what i'm talking about.
Great video! Ik drive a V70 D5 from 2006, one of the later models. It is still in a pretty good shape and clean for now. But i will clean him this year like you did. Wow what a difference! Greatings from Holland.
No the last car i had for 4 yesrs and never washed it.i have a mate that only washes the bonnet he says when your sat in the car its the only bit you see

I think Tornador should have you do their commercials here in the states. That thing is definitely on my purchase list for equipment this next month. I will be getting a "Absolute Neglect" shirt soon also.......haha. You should change or make one that says it with your great accent "Absoolutleh Felthey"....LOVE IT.
I'm quite a pig myself when it comes to my car, but the level of filth these cars have is mind boggling... Seeing the cars vacuumed at 2x speed is unbelievably satisfying, therapeutic in fact.
Abbas Bin Younas I used to work at a full service car wash and it was always appalling to see the filthy cars people were driving around in. I mean, some of the cars I cleaned there had practically became trash cans on wheels. I would see cars about as bad this Volvo about once a week.
You should get a skoda from copart as a daily, truly bulletproof had one and it had 190k ragged it around for 7 years never asked me for nothing mk1 Octavia look for one in copart absolutely brilliant cars
General Shark just put mine through it’s annual taxi inspection and MOT. Not a single advisory at 120k miles and still on original clutch. Never had to make a single repair to it and still looks great in and out after a thorough valet. Brilliant cars.
kebabtank I hope so. One of our other drivers has just traded a Skoda Superb on 210k with the original clutch. My only worry is a clutch noise at biting point which I think is the thrust bearings. At nearly £1k for a clutch and DMF I Hope I’ve got another few thousand miles yet.
THIS WAS PERFECT! I will get my dad's old v70 that's to be honest almost dirtier than the one u just cleaned. But this video really helped me out in how I should do to really clean it out like I've always wanted to.
I've wanted a Dodge charger srt8, the one Keanu Reeves drove in street Kings. Rip Henry the vacuum 20xx-2019. He will be missed. What do you use on the windows?
You did an outstanding job on cleaning that! That thing looks showroom again! I've wanted a Volvo V40 T4. Unfortunately, they're quite hard to get by as they're old cars and people often trash them. Once they got cheaper, they get in the hands of people who want a fast wagon, but then absolutely neglected them and here we are.. I found a nice model online and went to take a look. It looked nice, ran well and the interior wasn't completely trashed. The headliner had sagging but that always happens with S40's and V40's. I was willing to forgive that. Unfortunately when we started driving we immediately noticed something was off. There was excessive wind noise, the car pulled under acceleration and braking and generally didn't feel stable on the road. The second thing that struck us, is when we closed the rear doors they didn't close with a satisfying slam, but rather with a dull dud. They didn't feel right when you opened them too, almost as if they didn't fit properly. You probably already guessed it by now... We opened up the boot and it didn't align with the body of the car, the lid was all bent and there was obvious damage. The car had been in a collision, and the repair work was shoddy. Such a shame, it was a nice car to look at but it drove like a wet mop. The ad was up for months. I'm not sure if eventually some poor soul bought the thing or he gave up on selling it. I now drive a Mazda 6, but some day I still want one of those Volvo's. I'm hunting after S60's and V70's now. Noone wants them, so they're easy to come by in good condition. V/S40's are a lost cause.
Outstanding! I'd pay $750 in the states for someone to detail my car like this. Here I pay $150 and I might as well have taken it to the spray and wash. Take pride in your work sir, it's spectacular!
Just because your car is dirty doesn't mean that you're a dirty person. Doesn't mean your house is dirty. I can guarantee you that if you went into your car right now it wouldn't look much better than this person's car did.
@@xXKatieFace I guarantee You, that My car, right now, is very much cleaner than the state that car started out in. I didn't state a dirty car = an unwashed person, I posed the question how the previous owner could stand to be IN that mess. The fact the car was allowed to become that filthy allows one to draw ones own conclusion of personal habits, which is what you clearly did, and why I didn't feel the need to draw or state any such conclusions. I did equate allowing ones vehicular surroundings to be in that state to allowing ones house to be in that state, and I did so for the reason that, one DOES have a trend of following the other; Both from a clinical psychological standpoint, and additionally from within my experience of people. He did an amazing job cleaning up that mess, nobody likes a filthy Volvo.. especially when on display in public.
The car I never managed to get was an E28 535iSE. Like you when I was younger they were peanuts, I even had one that I found that was really special but the owner turned down my offer and it went to another person. I think it was with Portway Cars or something like that. I still have the photo, it was loaded like the Volvo and was deep blue with beige leather. What a weapon and soo rare to come by now. Great video, keep up the good work. Would be great to see a video of you buying something at CoPart and see how the process works. Just started watching your channel, now a subscriber. Great work!
I actually did want a Nissan Pulsar (Almera) when I was in Australia and got a beauty, top of the line, white with only 9000 Klms on it. The car I want now is one of the last VW Beetles with the 2.0 turbo called an R-Line here in the USA. I want the sky blue colour, hard to find. I've only seen one for sale in that colour. Plenty of lesser models in sky blue but not what I want. While I was watching this I thought exactly what you said. Those carpets came up like new. Good quality. Thanks for another top video.
Twig it’s not that men have more pride in “their vehicles”, it’s because that woman has a busier life than you could ever imagine, between running a household, raising kids, cooking for men’s dumbasses, doing all the laundry and putting kids to bed, not to mention running all over kingdom come to ensure all of her family’s needs are met, all while quite possibly holding down a job herself. Cleaning out a car, or spending money you obviously don’t have, if you’re driving a 15 year old station wagon isn’t practical. Women make the world operate, show some respect, and don’t be a misogynist.
My cars are always mechanically solid but are normally dirty inside and out. I clean at work and I clean at home. I'm too cleaned out to clean my car. It occasionally goes to the local hand car wash and then I realise just how manky it was!
Twig yes, it means someone who dislikes, despises, or is strongly prejudiced against women. And your assertion that the filthy car had to have belonged to a woman was a pretty stereotypical and prejudicial thing to say, and derogatory toward women, so my accusation stands.
If you actually read what I said, it was a factual statement and bore no disrespect whatsoever to women as you seem eager to imply. It is an observable fact is that men tend to take more pride in their cars than women, and women tend to take more pride in their personal appearance than men, and if you had any experience of waiting for a female partner to go out anywhere or if you had noticed that any social activity revolving around cars is almost entirely male based you would know that. My observations are not in any way derogatory apart from in your own seemingly confused mind.
I've got the almost matching same color Audi A8 with such buffer trails or some might call it holograms. Looking forward to the next video of you sorting it out. I really want to do it myself but I'm not yet comfortable with paint correction. I'm sorting out interiors for some time but it's time to get the exterior game up as well. Great content, thank you!
Interior car cleans are my thing too (hence I watch your video’s). A clean carpet satisfies the crap out of me. Just love the look of it. Shame it never lasts long though haha.
It's really sad to see how some people treat these beautiful, nice cars... I have a 94 Jeep Cherokee that has definitely seen better days but I still clean it (even though it doesn't look "like new"). Beautiful job!

*_Love the accent! And also loving the video! So satisfying! ❤_*
Now, THAT was very satisfying.....thanks for your vids. That Volvo looks gorgeous now, a loooong way from what it was. Excellent!
@@JohnnyPaton On a related note, my Mk5 golf has the original clutch at 162k miles. So I reckon you're good for a long time yet.
kebabtank I hope so. One of our other drivers has just traded a Skoda Superb on 210k with the original clutch. My only worry is a clutch noise at biting point which I think is the thrust bearings. At nearly £1k for a clutch and DMF I Hope I’ve got another few thousand miles yet.
Roger Mellie love skodas proper built to last cars
THIS WAS PERFECT! I will get my dad's old v70 that's to be honest almost dirtier than the one u just cleaned. But this video really helped me out in how I should do to really clean it out like I've always wanted to.
I've wanted a Dodge charger srt8, the one Keanu Reeves drove in street Kings.
Rip Henry the vacuum 20xx-2019. He will be missed.
What do you use on the windows?
I have to say out of all the UA-cam detailers I think your the most impressive to watch
I wonder how much money you have found when cleaning cars out ?
Probably enough to buy, tax and insure another car
The disrespect to a Volvo! I have a 2002 s80 t6 2.9 and I keep it looking new. Love it so much. Nice vid!
Tiffany C. You’re hella beautiful. Just had to say that, as I was scrolling through the comments
@@dennizdennett6757 Very kind of you, thank you!
8:38... dead rat in the middle 🐀... 😂😂👌
Great work sir! Your accent is fantastic too! Cheers from Tampa, Florida USA.
made me want to go wash my car.... then just watched some more of your videos instead 🤣👍
Great job! Volvos clean up so well because the material is so tough. The front tyre is a bit scary . . . absolutely no tread left
I didn’t realize he was speaking English until I heard “glovebox”
Glovebox is German for smells like your uncle's nickers
@@peppigue lol 😂😂 😂😂 😂
At first I thought he was speaking a different language to english, but after about a minute I had no trouble understanding him. And I'm a 'Murican.
Even I am Arab
I could understood him easily
I was looking for Klingon translator first...
can i just ship the truck i am about to sell across the pond to you to clean :P
RIP HENRY lol good content thank you
Outstanding! I'd pay $750 in the states for someone to detail my car like this. Here I pay $150 and I might as well have taken it to the spray and wash. Take pride in your work sir, it's spectacular!
NASTY! How could they stand to be in there with all that cack. All I can think of now is what the bloody hell did this persons house look like!?
Great work!
How much do you usually charge for one of theese cleanings? :)
£550 for a 100k Volvo? What more do you need?
Copart, write offs, very high risk! This one clearly turned out well, though!
Bargain!
Och aye, Grande job, great scottish accent pal, I used to lived in Scotland, great people, great country, regards from middle east Europe
I always wanted Ford F-250 King Ranch pickup.
Wow,
That was AMAZING! You made that terrible disgusting Volvo looking like new again. Awesome job!
We call it "Drecksau" in Germany...
😂😂😂
Another great job. I've always wanted a Volvo wagon like THAT ONE.
Definitely great cars, much better built than the v40 in my next video 😊
I'd bet money that car belonged to a lady driver.
Men tend to have more pride in their vehicles.
@@billymasoner3735 Do you know what the word "misogynist" means?
If not look it up and don't be a misandrist.
These Volvos are wonderful cars when kept in good shape. I had a 2001 S60 2.4T it was like driving a magic carpet.
You said this heap had dog hair in it... but it came up with just a brush and vac!? What kind of dog has easy vac fur?? Lol Brilliant job as always.
a real professional! It looks so easy on the video, but I think one sleeps very well after all the cleaning work...
Great watching these Beautiful Cars Cleaned & repaired .Well Done Mileage -HA Ha Ha ,Not even run in .Love it Cheers
Only watched a video today looking for spray extraction machine!, great work and I hope the owners are appreciative
Doesnt matter how old a car is. Take care of what takes care of YOU :)
A d5 estate and a manual too - very desirable , great clip thx for posting
