Were a lot of these combos added with iceborne? I’m tempted to reinstall. The game just looks so much more complete with all the monsters added and the combat just seems a lot more fluid and less clunky. I just don’t wanna get hooked again :(
@@FecalMatador the iceborn longsword additions are a whole gamechanger. as a LS main, learning them is ESSENTIAL as they replace most of the old moves regarding spirit gage charge. helm splitter is also not the only dps move now, you can do a new combo that has s similar to forwardslash, doesnt lose red gauge if executed correctly, has a good stun stat on it and does good damage. absolutely spammable.

As a sticky ammo user, this hunt was bliss. My first frajang encounter was actually fun since I had no concern about hitzones or its attacks, beautiful
I have at least 100 hours of LS experience and I think I learned 10 things from this. Foresight works on roars... You can angle foresight into monster attacks... You can arial for half of the spirit combo and continue it... That move at 1:57 where he counters at a 90 degree angle into the Rajang beam, then back another 90 degrees into his face is crazy.
Not necessarily, certain weapons can't achieve high enough dps. You can play a perfect game but you can't beat a tempered master rank fast enough with a bad weapon. Also, one of the reasons he did so well was his weapons: affinity, stun rate, consistently high part damage, lots of endgame buffs. A argument can be made for armor, it is relatively easy to hunt master rank monster with no armor provided you have the ability to dodge perfectly each time. TDS works hard for these and it often requires multiple attempts to get things right. Even good players make mistakes. Don't get tripped up cause he's good, get inspired because he is imperfect. :)

Another part you do not understand is that because of such videos many weapons not just in mh got nerfed because they said they were "op" that is misinformation the weapon is good but the player is "op" because he is the one who does the Run not the weapon. People try to immitate this in normal runs and die, and of course they do because they do not Think for themselves but go for highest damage possible but don't realise who actually is op in the vid yk?

But to refute your argument, the players performance is linked to the weapons performance. If he had a tier ten ore LS with no crit boost and little to no stat boosting he would end up with a sub 15 min time AT BEST. It is undeniable that he has skill, but part of getting quick kill times is building a perfect dps build. It requires hundreds of hours of farming to perfect such a build and requires dozens of attempts to perfect a performance. There are no OP players, anyone can do this if you put in the work and effort.
Within a very short amount of time TDS was able to obtain enough materials for Raging Brachy LS and to be able to practice Furious Rajang enough times to be able to hunt him this quickly.
I mean it's still impressive, but to be honest Furious Rajang is one of the most predictable monsters IMO. Part of that is because he shares most of his moves with a monster we've already been fighting for a while, but he's also very easy to knock out of rampage mode and has a very exploitable pattern that he uses a lot. The pattern is that he'll use one of the standard rajang moves, then do the really fast leaping punch, then immediately go into another standard rajang move. But after that he pauses for a second.
@@carstan62 yes i found him too be much more easier then normal rajang but mostly because i'm used too fighting tempered rajang (i'm always running out of glimmer pelt's) where as furious is just a normal variant
I think the reason that the helmbreaker slash doesn't do full damage is because it needs a full line of monster hitbox to go through. With this furious rajang you could se that it hit all six to seven times with no bad hit. But with ruiner nergi the horns and head have hitbox spacing between them so when you do it it'll only register 1 to 5 hits because it thinks you are already finished with the move.

The 990 damage it's absolutely impressive plus the blast damage puts it ahead of GR because blast simply does way more damage than poison I will probably make this weapon but to be honest I'm having way too much fun with the raging Lance I'm pretty sure it's one of the highest raw damage lances if not the most
With practice it’s possible, however the most things I learn from this is his positioning that allows him to constantly hit weak spots. I can foresight most of rajang’s moves but I’m not good at positioning myself to hit sweet spots. I also use the same set of armor for raging brachy LS. It’s a heavy damage LS set. However since I’m not a speed runner, personally I like safi LS with Teostra bonus so that you can run 2 piece of raging brachy. Not only this gives you the agitator bonus, it also gives you more jewel slots for utility. Casual players should try it out.
I'm a LS player from 3, even if i'm a fatalis veteran, and can confirm that, unless you have pretty good reflexes, the foresight evade in world is one of the most complex manouvers to learn, mostly because you need to time it to the milimeter if you don't want to eat an attack in the face.
as a non LS player it is kind of wierd and seems broken to hit the target when it is not actually where the sword hits. He jumps away you miss. When i shoot a Bowgun and the monster jumps away i do not magically hit it anyway
@@saschaherrmann1665 Well, based on your comment, I would say that's because you dont understand how the helm breaker works, and what the problem is. The damage numbers for helm breaker dont appear at the moment of contact, they appear after it, and each number appears one after another. This is where the problem initially came from, basically, you landed the helm breaker, but then the monster moved, and it didnt allow all (or in certain cases, any) of the hits to land on the monster. Basically, the issue was the fact that helm breaker didnt originally "stick" to the monster, what i mean by this is that the helm breaker didnt technically cut the monster when you used; it cut a specific area, and due to the delay of the damage numbers, the monster could move out of said area before taking any damage from the attack even though you hit the monster. Now, the damage sticks to the monster, so even if they move, it will still apply the damage for the attack that they were hit by. It's still not perfect, and it still fucks up from time to time, but it is leaps and bounds less frustrating to play LS now. Maybe you should pick up a weapon and play with it, before you criticize the improvements the devs made to it.

Yup. When hes lvl 2 enraged, furious, and gets "knocked down" against a wall. Stay by the rear legs or behind and you can get some hits in.

The damage numbers for helm breaker dont appear at the moment of contact, they appear after it, and each number appears one after another. This is where the problem initially came from, basically, you landed the helm breaker, but then the monster moved, and it didnt allow all (or in certain cases, any) of the hits to land on the monster. Basically, the issue was the fact that helm breaker didnt originally "stick" to the monster, what i mean by this is that the helm breaker didnt technically cut the monster when you used; it cut a specific area, and due to the delay of the damage numbers, the monster could move out of said area before taking any damage from the attack even though you hit the monster. Now, the damage sticks to the monster, so even if they move, it will still apply the damage for the attack that they were hit by. It's still not perfect, and it still fucks up from time to time, but it is leaps and bounds less frustrating to play LS now. Maybe you should pick up a weapon and play with it, before you criticize the improvements the devs made to it.
