Stop using words I don't know Stephen.
Would you prefer it if the interview was just the word's donut and bacon over and over in different tones?
I loved this! It's so relatable! I've always felt this way about rodeos, clowns, bulls. Finally, someone else gets me. :)
Hollins23, I was born, raised, and lived my whole life in Montana, and I don’t get it either.
jimgaffigan I love your comedy!! And you are a very good actor too!!
Jim gaffigan is a soulless dude slinging formulaic comedy catering to lobotomized middle-american trumplandians. He makes lots of money though. "Just a regular guy" act is pretty transparent.
Every time Jim comes to the show, He has new stories to tell. It's like a short comedy special.
I was at his pale tourist comedy tour this friday, most of what he says here is verbatum from his material so it really is!
Please ask jim G back onto the show! He cracks me the hell up esp the ' first rodeo' speak! Grt story@!!!!!!!# humor cures health,# emotional salve# colbert on politics!# watch daily!# love pitbulls!
he's there to promote his show.
@@TheBoredGamer01 of course...that's what is expected when they get invited
Stating the obvious for attention and perhaps affirmation; but, that's the point in the delivery determined during rehearsal.
@jimgaffigan even though you’re not an ‘animal activist’ I love how you always bring out the animals’ perspective and the absurdity of people...love love love your comedy!!!! #animaljail #rodeo
I love Stephen trying to hold in his laughter to ask a question. Jim is just naturally funny!
I love how he low-key inserts comments on animal rights/welfare, it shows his empathy. Appreciate you so much more for that, Jim.
jajajja
Yes it’s awesome. 💪🏼
"....Is it my birthday?....Did you guys get me a clown for my birthday?...."
And there went the tea I was drinking, right through my nose.
He’s one white tab from being Father Jim Gaffigan
Brien Malone very preisty
Padre Gaffigan
D T thank you
He looks like a satirical version of Philip Seymour Hoffman in Doubt.
😂😂😂
Now I need an animated movie where Jim Gaffigan voices a polar bear.
Right? 🤣
Yes, yes. Yaaas.
I have watched some of his standup specials over and over again, and the jokes get me laughing like the first time I saw them. Because when you know a particular routine, it’s even better!😂
1500 pounds of angry pot roast 💀
he lifted that one from an old tom Lehrer song - good comedians steal from the best...
kintz78 I didn’t know that! Good to know
"In Old Mexico"
9:00 Stephen: "I have walked in on my son watching John Oliver and thought, 'What are you doing? Why are you hurting me?'." LOL
Funny but they are good friends..
"Oh, I get it....it's people riding animals that want to be left alone". Exactly.
Most authentic comedian ever. I believe other comedians make alot of effort to impress people. He is just natural...
THE BEST🙌🙌
IDK Bill Burr seems to make an active effort to offend people lol and I feel like he's being pretty honest to himself in doing so!
They are both hilarious for that reason, easily the funniest living (and undisgraced!) comedians!
You mean Doug Stanhope.
Ehhh. I prefer dark humor and some cursing so I’m not really a fan of his stuff.
Authenticity is the single most powerful tool you can possess in entertainment.
Sooo true!
When the Philip Seymour Hoffman biopic comes out I want Jim to play Philip.
“😃And whoever does it fastest 😧is most likely to be a serial killer😐”.
😆
That was hilarious. I never thought of it that way... 🙈🙈🙈
I love Jim Gaffigan. He just makes life feel better.
Love his humor, so clean and clever!
Wow, that polar bear really let himself go
Stephens intro with "... in the world!" was almost a Jeremy Clarckson moment.
Two great comedians not afraid to tell jokes with each other. A couple times both of them had looks that said ‘pretty good, wish I’d thought of that.’
Love ' em both! Colbert has to do a new thing 3-4 times per week, but he has writers working for him.. Jim & Jeannie do all his writing.....
Troop Zero is my favorite movie. That's saying a LOT.
Their funniness just bounces off each other as an interviewer and interviewee.
Impressive how they fold Jim's act into the interview so naturally
Jim Gaffigan is always spitting lol
Jim. Definitely in my top 3.
Funny every time...
Colbert made the funniest joke in the whole interview: "Why are they dressed like clowns?" "Its so when they die its humiliating." Haha!
Best line, ever! And probably unscripted...
I saw one of Jim's show several years ago. Oh my gosh, my face hurt I laughed so much. He's so funny!!
"Is it my birthday?" made me laugh and laugh out loud. And I needed that. Thanks.
yep, he's one of the most naturally funny guys ever. But I gotta say Steven got in a good as lib by calling a. rodeo bull '1500 lbs of angry pot roast."
It's from "In Old Mexico" by Tom Lehrer. , although he sang "A Lone Man facing half a ton of angry pot roast".
@@FilmArtPhotoThat makes even better that he has that knowledge. Wow, I never hear anyone reference Tom Lehrer. Always makes me think of him doing the 'Vatican Rag'. Good catch on that one.
@@joseph-ow1hf :) Thanx
Lol, love when he does the voices of the different people in his scenarios.
The only thing his interviews are missing is when he mimics what the audience is supposedly saying, haha.
When he said "I am a very artistic person" the closed captions said "I am a very autistic person"
Jim Gaffigan is like if The Far Side came to life.
"Your voice is at the same time very high and very low" - Jerry Seinfeld
When Jim's Inaction Action Figure comes out, we are going to see a huge peak in sales.
Zaroff's Trophy Room: I'm still hoping for a _Pale Force_ series of action figures. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pale_Force
Zaroff's Trophy Room Amazon won’t deliver 2nd to weight restrictions!
I love watching stephen laughing, so cute and jim is killing it as always....
Jokes after jokes after jokes made my morning :)
Calling it now, everything he says about the Rodeo is gonna be in his next special.
Jim has the mouth of Jack Nicholson. Exactly te same!
Yes, actually, this is my first rodeo.
Stephen and Jim have such great rapport.Love both of their comedy styles.
It was Jim's first rodeo, I truly hope it's his last.
Jim needs to star in a Foster Brooks biopic. And I mean that as a huge compliment.
Stephen, thank you for bringing Jim Gaffigan to our eyes and ears. He is truly a comic genius............
...................but so are you Stephen.
Sorry but you just made me throw up in my mouth....
@@crlguitar1 Wow you sure are not funny.
Get some new material, 6 Year Old.
love this man
rodeo clown median income 80k a year... don't need a ton on convincing especially if you're inherently an adrenaline junky.
Ha! Gingerbread Boy
I just saw him live 3 nights ago in Moncton. Awesome & hilarious show! That rodeo bit was from the show
of course it was...that's why they are on the talk show circuit
After todays tweets by Jim I have even more respect for him.
Jim gaffigan is one of my favorites. He's not dirty at all and it's great.
He’s not wrong about talking about rodeo 😂😑🤦🏼♀️
Brian Walsh I’ve attended to a couple of rodeos in my life lol 😂 I mean yeah they care about the animals to an extent but like it’s still cruel.
@Brian Walsh I can't handle thinking an animal may get hurt.
@Brian Walsh what happened to the other 3/4 of that horse?
@Brian Walsh For some reason, I care more about animals (and children) than adult people. Innocence I guess.
...This would not be my first rodeo...But then I just do security at rodeos.
ua-cam.com/video/mcmwN4x1rRg/v-deo.html
Little Beau won't be talking about this ;)

You won't comment on PN's channel. You're scared
Jim is really growing on me, I can relate to his sense of humor. I have some friends who are trying to talk me into going to Europe with them, my first thought, not interested in seeing any old churches … at all.
@ I'd love to.
To be fair there old historical churches and cathedral
@@SuperKing604 "*They're*" possibly? Historical or not, not interested. I'm fine with architecture and infrastructure, but reminders of religion and how much it has ruined people and the world is not something I care to see in any capacity. As an atheist I'm free from all of that garbage but generally treat people and the earth much better than those who believe or attend. I'm not into general tourism; if it's popular and would have to stand in line for it, chances are very high I won't be interested in it.
But did you see any mutton busting?? The most entertaining rodeo sport of all.
7:13 Americans very often use 'bring' when we Brits might use 'take'. Gaffigan says "I took my family to Europe..." in a very British way but then immediately goes American again with "...and I brought my kids...".
Loves this guy . He's so funnnnnny
Rodeo fans are like NASCAR fans. They only consider it a good show when something terrible happens.
Infowars.com :)
I only realized age's cruel march when Jim Gaffigan and Tom Papa became so funny.
I was just thinking the same thing, when I was younger I couldn't stand the guy. Now I can't get enough!
To be fair, compared to Europe there are no old churches in America.
for the first time in my life I'm happy to have a bulging disk and being smart. Guess who'll never ride a bull )))
Lol, the cowboys are athletes, not performers... Love Jim anyway ♥️
Its crazy that you introduce Tom Styer as a billionaire as if that something thats respectable...
MJ L
Yeah that’s what I thought.
It’s actually a criticism.
Almost everything Jim said is some of his comedy routine.
I appreciate the reference to Tom Lehrer's work...
License and registration right meow
Lmao.
What? Colbert didn't mention they're both Catholic time? LOL
Colbert is the only late night mainstream talkshow guy who is even remotely good. He lets his guests go instead of interjecting every 3 seconds. Because the bad ones if they don't hog the spotlight with their annoying unfunny comments they are so insecure about becoming irrelevant that sometimes it hurts to watch. Kimmel is pretty good. Trevor Noah ,Jimmy Fallon et al, gimme a break . The good ones last. Past or present. You know they're doing a pretty good job when you have that grin on your face and occasional outbursts LOLing. Or simply the wonder of awe because of what you're hearing or listening to. In any field of entertainment/music/cinema/pop culture/sports etc. Cheers from canada.
Yeah rodeos in Canada are known for being cruel generally horses die every year, its protested.
Send them to the glue factory my friend
"it's time to watch Daddy," aaaaaaannnnnnnnnnddddddddddd I'm gone.
Is he doing stand up sitting? WOW just WOW
When I was in my late teens I did visit different churches for a while on Sundays just out of curiosity and something to do other than work
Jim gaffigan: the animal abuse tour
Ok, Karen. Have a snickers.
I heard he's planning on doing his next performance from inside the Orca tank at Sea World
I know this is a huge segue but.......... I'll bet Stephen isn't bragging about having had Prince Harry on to promote his book "Waaagh" Southpark hit it out of the park with that send up of a couple of pompous nothing burgers. I still love Stephen though.
I rode a mechanical bull once. My saving grace was the guy operating the bull was a guy I went to high school with. I was on for what seemed like 8 seconds. In reality, I was on for 0.8 seconds. I was drunk so when I hit the ground I didn't feel it. The next morning I was bruised with a hangover.
Watch how Colbert is good with everyone but comedians. Answer he goes and he spills that he played someone that killed a child and you could see a quart Gaffigan and it might be understood that he hadn't allowed his child to watch it yet until they were older so the dry remark that he gave him gave them back was "it's not like I see them down and tell them, 'it's time to watch daddy'", which I think to that is the most smartest and driest remark you could do to someone that made that mistake on the air. And because Colbert is horrible sparring with another comedian, he had nothing to say to save that moment it and just let it stand with the audiences reception of the joke.
8 seconds because the animal's raw strength wanes after that. It's like a human running more than 40 yards for pro sports tryouts.
I love his comedy!!! Hes so naturally funny!
Both lucky dudes got to guest star on Law and Order Criminal Intent with that yummy Vincent D'onofrio. Sigh.
The king of dad jokes
Jim is genuine. Besides the Comedian. I feel he's a really good guy. I'd love to conversate with that man over coffee or whatever for 30 minutes.
There is nobody that rides up and helps a bull rider off a bull. That is in bareback and saddle bronc riding. They are called, "pick-up men."
I work with people who love and participate in rodeos. Not the brightest folks.
Colbert sucks as a host, he only acts genuine and interested when he tries to get his OWN joke in, and when the guest gets a good laugh he slaps the desk and doesnt laugh, like ahhhhhh you bested me there, darn.
Jim gaffigan better be careful talking about bull riding. Way harder than he thinks. 8 seconds is along time.
"...no safety meetings..." When I was a kid bullriders didn't wear protective vests and helmets.
I hear these two were the best part of The Love Guru.
I don't intend to watch that pile of garbage long enough to find out, though.
Stephen Colbert is very funny intelligent talk show host. He is the younger version of David Letterman. My name is Ricardo Hernandez I watch the Stephen Colbert show every night. Because Stephen Colbert is the main man of late night talk show. Keep up the good work Stephen Colbert you do us all proud from all over the United States. I'm from San Diego CA. Keep rocking out your show Stephen Colbert with all you got. I'm very glad Stephen Colbert is a late night talk show host, who replaced David Letterman. Your show is very interesting.👍✌👍✌
I am always stunned how professional prepared the guest segments are at the colbert show.
Impressive!
love this cat.
We don’t go tour old churches in North America, because we don’t have any. We tear everything down.
Oh my, the chaffing of the thighs!!! Just how in the world do they do it?????? WIMP
I used to scoff at the notion of reincarnation, and then I saw Burl Ives doing this bit. Makes you take stock.
I think Jim is turning into a blonde Jack Black
Yay Colbert & Gaffigan! - Boo! Boo! Rodeos, Animal Abusers! 😳
Look up the story about Jimmy Hendrix in a bar being mistaken for being a clown in the rodeo
Always knew he was funny but this is hilarious and I'm just thrilled that I can see it here at home an my awesome screen for 0 dollars. ha ha
Stephen is a political mouthpiece for Nancy and Cryin' Chuck
Tom Lehrer reference.
Saw his movie Troop Zero and husband and I really liked it. The kids were amazing 😍 and of course the lead actress stole the show.
I'd like to see a remake of a great movie. It stars Jim Gaffigan as Charles Foster Kane. And ,no, I did not just call you "fat" Jim. I meant you could play the role superbly.
