Rev was great. It was too bad he had to leave the show. They brought him back for a couple of episodes in S4. He went through some divine change and became something close to human.
This show was awesome. Rev Bem was awesome. This is one of the few rare sci fi series that hit the ground hard/running, great characters from the get-go. Too bad it slowly spiraled downward. Like in Star Trek TNG it starts out slow, it hurts to watch season 1 and season 2 sometimes as the characters get developed and the actors get used to them, etc. but in Andromeda every character rocked from day 1, especially Rev Bem. I thought this show would make it for sure.
I did too. Alas, when it comes down to it, Andromeda failed because it was a bit ahead of its time, the producers didn't keep the lead writer and the studio that picked it up after season 2 went under... I often think sometimes what a Re-boot would be like with the original intended plotline.... probably astounding, but, we will never know...
@@Chadlton The fact that Kevin Sorbo wanted the series to go one way, and the writers wanted another... and HE won... is also why the series failed. He wanted the series to concentrate on him more, and yet they had the idea of putting the machine together (they got one piece in one of the later episodes) that could help save the universe. Sometimes being the "star" isn't as good a thing as people think it is.
Rev And Tyr always polar opposites on the show ! The both fought against their natural instincts ! Sometimes with disastrous results for everyone involved!
Presuming these ships are the aggressors, I don't see the moral conundrum. That _is_ a presumption, though. But with that assumption, would the defenders scruple over killing the _entire_ fleet if it would spare their own? Of course not! And we would not consider them morally bankrupt for that, either.
Why does the reverend have to be a physicist? I think that’s what got him kicked off. I’m not mathematician at all. No worries about the non-overlapping magisteria.

One of best episode of the Andromeda series
It really is.

it had to do with the actor developing a severe allergy to the makeup used to turn him into Rev
Rev was an absolute treasure.
Trance knew exactly what she was doing when she supposedly accidentally took them back in time.
Yeah, that's why she kept apologizing to him, for what he would be forced to do.
Ah... if only I still owned a DVD player that worked...
Install Plex, and you can watch it for free

The actor who played the part had to quit the role due to allergies from the prosthetics he wore.
he was also into biology and other scientific doctrines
All sounds true to me. Was he a chemist though?
