Star Fox: Venom 3 Atmosphere

- At the request of zallard1, I've made a video of the atmosphere before Venom on route 3. The course itself is really easy, it's just back and forth shooting at anything that comes up. The boss however, is a pain in the ass. It flies past you too quickly, and the targets are small, but at least it's not that powerful. Unless you do what I did and fly into the damn thing.
This is probably my best performance on this level yet, I usually lose my shield long before the boss.
Shoot, after watching this through for the first time, I realized, I forgot to edit out the ZSNES menu at the end. Hmmm.

It's the "shield" powerup. It renders you impervious to damage for a long time, but if you take enough hits while it's on, it disappears.
I remember it took me forever to beat that damn Great Commander. By the time I did however, I noticed I was 40 years old, house foreclosed, in debt up to my ears, divorced, impotent, kids don't wanna talk to me, and death... sweet imminent death, was my only friend... we popped a beer and talked about the good times before it was time. Now I spend the afterlife trying to beat Spiritual Larsa on Mushimushimesama Futari :P

So this boss uses an early form of all-range mode I presume?
lol, when I saw that, I went back and played area 6. They totally do, man.
i used to draw all these ships in my notebook all the time....

Teh Great Commander's entrance is the best part....
I remember this level making my trigger fingers numb. There was so much shooting I had to use more than one fingers endurence.
Esse chefe é meio bugado. Quando criança, tinha momentos que não conseguia passar de jeito nenhum, às vezes, eu jogava a nave em cima do chefe pra ver se dava pra destruir os pontos fracos, e nada. Já em outros momentos passava mais tranquilo. Sempre pensei porque eu era criança e não sabia jogar direito, mas vendo esse vídeo e a dificuldade, vejo que não era por causa de mim mesmo! kkkk
Ah yes.. The Great Commander. It was the only boss in this game I couldn't beat.
It took me forever to finally come up with a good strategy for the GC.
I died so many times I thought I would never get past this stage.
And after surviving the super-hard Sector Z, that just adds insult to injury. ;_;
Ironically, the CG is much, much easier on the Surface stage.
go figure, eh?
This is the hardest boss fight in any starfox game,I was stuck on this boss for like 4 hours
the ship is so big when ur close to it :O
yeah, that thing looks like those green ships in Area 6 in Starfox 64.
Look at all those aileron rolls that Guy is doing!
