    I forgot to mention that doors will now consistently trigger traps when opened onto them.

      This will mostly make traps useless, putting traps away from doors just causes teammates to run into them from my experience

      @@MikeG82 yeah but with the new versatility of traps, I think its safe to bet we'll be able to do more than old fashioned door traps stacks.

      Can you please explain, what it will mean in the game, cuz i have a hard time of imagining how will it affect sound. Maybe you will have 1-3 seconds delay judging by the size of the map, or am i missing something ?

      @@michalsedlarik8889 bullets travel faster than the speed of sound meaning for a more realistic and immersive experience a bullet being fired at you from very far away will impact before you hear the sound of the gunshot. I don’t think it’ll realistically have much of an effect on gameplay it’s more of a nice immersion detail than anything else.
      (Though perhaps it will be possible to calculate roughly how far away the shooter is by how big the delay is. The longer the delay the greater the distance between you and the shooter etc).

    Not gonna lie, all the new content we got in recent events wasn't that much exciting to me, personally i prefer having less good stuff than getting a batch of new content that is mediocre. So, seeing them changing and fixing a lot of older stuff makes me actually excited for the future of this game

      I think prepping for the engine update has been detracting from updates all year. I’m super happy that they’re doing so much for Hunt 2.0. It’s going to be a great update.

    I wonder what will happen if you are full on everything and loot a player. Do you get more money or the trait will do nothing in that case? I have a feeling that this lowered the perk's value by a lot.
    Trap changes make me slightly scared. Vigilant to the rescue.
    Bullet drop makes me concerned. (I hate when games give guns stupid sharp bullet drop. Battlefield games are guilty of that) I'm gonna wait till I can actually play with it.

    I imagine the stars in the weekly rewards are likely the new progression system meant to replace Trials and their rewards. Consistent rewards progression from weekly challenges to replace the consistent reward progression from Trials.

    The new map was already leaked a month ago by a Chinese localization playtester who posted 20 something screenshots. It's a mountainous woodsy place full of industral zones, mines, etc.

      I'd expect a marketing push with this. I've been toying with releasing a "now is the time to play Hunt Showdown" video to release with the update.

    It seems like since bullet drop is being added to the game, instead of cutting off the tops of those adjustable sights for more visibility, they should make them functional. That's literally what those sights are for anyways: accounting for bullet drop.

    I'm not a fan of them introducing bullet drop at this point in the journey seems unnecessary and will create more load on the servers calculating the arcs.

    There was only 1 thing I wanted from traps that that was the ability to simply changed what side the big damn spool was on! It's not a hard concept to grasp and seeing how they gave us the sheath skill for katanas they clearly have a button they can use for it! I'm sick of have to hop outside a compound just so I can actually hide a trap while praying some blok isn't hiding in a bush waiting to blast plaint my brains all over the wall

    I'm pretty sure the Challenge reward in the video are Event Points.
    What I'm wondering is, since it seems like you can finish previous weeks of challenges, if someone who comes back to hunt after a year, does he gets to finish his last 52 weeks of challenges or is there some limit.

      @@LeMicronaut I don't think so. From the UI it seem like you can scroll the weeks back and forth. I assume that there will be a limit, otherwise would be rather silly.
      But maybe you are right we'll find out at some point.

      @@larisianders I mean, there's no point for challenges to really go away, so they could go by week/month/year in labels.
      Dailies and weeklies are an arbitrary retention gimmick, but if you keep challenges permanent, people who buy the game years down the line can still end up chasing the challenges/payouts and you end up with your end goal of getting people to put hours into the multiplayer and boost the population anyways.

    Always love the new content and updates for this game but personally I have a bad feeling over bullet drop. I’m sure it won’t be that much of an issue to me as I always use iron sights and engage at no more than about 70m, but if bullet drop is that bad for pistols, (drop off after 15m) then I doubt I will bother using them at all.

    Vulture is ruined, imho Vulture should give option to loot some grunts or loot consumables from body that were not used...

    All of the changes that they've been showing don't make me endlessly optimistic. I feel that Crytek pretty much embodies one step forward, two steps back. I feel that they don't really know what it is exactly that they want to do with the game.

    You should NOT be able to see progression on player-damage related challenges, just makes it even easier to meta game.

    With the vulture, I think they should have increased the cost and let you loot burnt out hunters. Has anyone really struggled that much for money in hunt?

      only people who struggle are people who are still prestiging, low mmr players, or people who only run dolch/mosin/avto/nitro

    *this game is a great example of a phenomenal idea presented in a very lame way.*
    It plays very bad.
    Literally would be able to make a better doom 2 mod than this game.
    I'd rather see red dead redemption get a new unique undead nightmare 2 dlc with vampires, werewolves, a few new weapons and horses, the option to become a vanhelsing type bounty hunter or the option to intentionally become a vampire or werewolf with some gameplay enhancements. Give players the ability to rent cabins, camps are.... lame sadly.
    That game, red dead redemption 2, desperately needed to have ammo based damage not gun based damage.
    It also needed to start players off with a .22 caliber, not going straight to one of the most powerful handguns ever.... wtf...
    And even more importantly, the online is too pvp based WHILE only having auto aim lobbies????? AND THERES STILL CHEATERS IN AUTO AIM???? now THATS why the online is only occupied by like 1 to 5 players at a time. Because developers WANTED to ruin it. Even if gta6 has simulation based mechanics with a procedurally generated motion system that uses every map Rockstar established in the gta universe including red deads map, RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 COULD STILL be popular if it just gets a undead nightmare 2 dlc and adds a few fixes.
    Fixes such as
    No more camp, unless your setting up a single small tent and or fire.
    Rent cabins/ rooms at hotels.
    Horses no longer need to have X tapped so much. Just once in awhile.
    Weapons are now ammunition damage based NOT MAGIC GUN DOES MORE DAMAGE BASED.
    Strict anti cheat Free aim lobbies.
    The complete removal of all explosive ammunition with the exception of tnt arrows that are on a fuse timer.
    No more required pvp to level up, just basic gameplay time and repetitive bounties, fulfilling basic hunt requests, bar fight challenges, tasks.
    Shotgun slugs do the same devastating damage at any range but accuracy is significantly lowered at range.
    All players start off with very low aim accuracy but as level increases, aim accuracy eventually hits sharpshooter level.
    For a undead nightmare 2 dlc... this is how it would work.
    Bring back zombies, but not too many. Everything undead nightmare 1 did. Except now, it's not only headshot kills but also fire and explosives.
    Bring back special horses for high level rewards.
    Add vampires.
    Vampires get extremely strong melee but use claw attacks, are ignored by zombies, run as fast as a horse and can jump onto small buildings getting a huge advantage.
    Players can turn into vampires if they survive a battle after getting bitten without a holy water drink cure before a day passes. Players if they become vampires now have a extreme weakness to holy water which works like molotov bottles ( but also can be drank as a health cure by normal players ) vampires are also weak to heart shots from arrows or crossbow steaks. Fire does much less damage but sunlight shall cause them to burst into flames and turn to dust.
    Players can be in sunlight as a vampire but must be completely covered up which would make them stand out a bit.
    Add some feral werewolves and some classic man turns into werewolf enemies.
    Allow players to become werewolves the same way as vampires. Players then can move as fast as a horse when transformed and get the strongest Melee and the most health but lose the ability to carry weapons when transformed and lose their outfit/ gear when they use the form. The form is time limited, only usable at night but at will. All werewolves are very weak to silver bullet ammunition, and silver blades. They also are weak to fire 🔥 unlike vampires who aren't. Werewolves keep the same diet as normal players but can no longer get max health from drinking holy water, but are completely immune to becoming a vampire though if either land a bite on eachother its devastating.
    Add a few boss fights that are unlockable with quests, base them on popular culture horror icons like Dracula, Frankenstein and some other stuff maybe.
    In this dlc that can be sold as a stand alone game, daytime is much shorter extending night and it's always a full moon. Players who choose to be werewolves have to actually look at the moon to transform. But if they do, they will lose all weapon use and upon reverting forms they are given clothing resembling rags and have all items unequipped.
    Vampire players can either take blood from npc, or they can buy it in vibes similar to holy water bottles.
    And that, is how you make a undead nightmare 2 dlc that everyone buys. With those few suggested fixes, red dead redemption 2 drastically plays better as well. I'd likely remove the mini map, making players use the pause menu map. Create immersion.
    I think the only way a gamer would dislike these settings is if they lied, or were forced to dislike it.

      And, I would fix the very unfun magic zoom in when aiming a gun mechanic. It would just stabilize the gun.
      I'd remove screen scope for 1st person on sniper rifles and make the character pull the weapon up while having the scope work without changing the entire screen to a scope.

    Love the new changes. I hope they change arm damage. Tired of ppl using their arms as a shield and sick of shooting ppl while they enter through a door just to get arm damage.

      @@Yaroslav_19 I’m not even a kd farm sniper , or scope enjoyer in general. I usually run like a sparks and uppercut, or some variation of rifle/pistol combo due to rifle=long range and pistol=short range.
      I like to have a short and long range option .
      With this new update I’m gonna be forced to run a Winfield and shotgun/pistol to accommodate the long range/short range formula. They’ve essentially ruined iron sight long ammo battles because the drop is not at all realistic for irl rifles .

Ironsite cant be used now over distances. should we now consider the sparks, martini and springfield close range weapons? what good does that do? nobody will play does weapons which were in my opionion the most balanced long range weapons, so wtf?

      and edit* now you cant even counter snipers as shotgun players with your secondary. i feel like everything has been nerved except scope snipers or am i wrong?
