    You create, you foul up, you go on.. your videos aren't edited to just show when it goes right which gives us new to woodturning the appreciation that each problem is actually a "Design Opportunity" ( not my saying, plagiarised from Martin Seban Smith) It what makes you the great turner and teacher you are.. thank you buddy.

    I use a lot of thick set also. It appeared to me that you were short on hardener. Couldn't really tell but it looked like you didn't pour much hardener. That's exactly what happens. Bad mixing will cause soft spots not soft all over. It will harden, just takes more time. A little heat will speed up the process. Mixing time looked a little short too, of course you could have edited some out. 2-3 minutes is needed. Keep on trucking my friend, good job, Larry

    • @PohlBarnProductions
      @PohlBarnProductions  4 роки тому

      Thank YouLarry...The mix was fine, if you read the data shit it calls for 28 grams to every 100 grams of resin, not exactly 3 to 1, it was most likely the temp in the shop, and yes I sped up the mixing and eliminated some of it, no one needs to see all that, they get the idea.

    Very nice finish, ever so slight blue looks wicked.
    That interference blue is awesome.
    Good to see very minimal resin used & then not wasted.. haha 😱

    It’s pretty. Thought you were going to make a serving platter at first? Can you do a diorama in these? Like pour the river in the blues, them set in stones and ceramic koi fish with lighter or clear epoxy? I just get ideas watching you guys work, and hope it’s ok to share them?

      I would think you could make one, some plastics the resin will not adhere to though, it gets an air pocket looking thing going on but I would think you still could make one.

    Beautiful work Doug. You ought to name it "And a River Runs Through it" after the movie. Thanks for the video.

      Thank you Gerald, I have to be careful of things like that or they will slap copy right stuff on my channel.
