Gorgeous piece of wood + really cool resin work = Beautiful piece of art. Thank you for sharing.
Thank You Laura
I don’t have those skills or the money for the equipment but watching you is very therapeutic. I have ptsd and it’s very calming. Thank you
Thank you Jerry I am glad I could help, Thank you for your Service Jerry !
You create, you foul up, you go on.. your videos aren't edited to just show when it goes right which gives us new to woodturning the appreciation that each problem is actually a "Design Opportunity" ( not my saying, plagiarised from Martin Seban Smith) It what makes you the great turner and teacher you are.. thank you buddy.
Thank you Buster
I need a whole set of plates, bowls, saucers, and cups of this 😍
Thank you Erin
I was just going to ask for a place setting of 12 of this....
That is SO COOL! The way you had a peg board to put the wood on to get it to turn in a perfect circle, I realized what you were doing and had to comment! NEAT!
Thank You JoAnn, circle cutting Jig
How sweet looking, you did a great job and smart to walk away. Your the only woodturner I have watched. If I run low I'll go back . Your a great guy with the ability to make great stuff. One more then I'll be done for the day. Thanks Doug for your concern. Plus its crappy in mid Wisconsin this morning. Lol
Thanks again Annie, yeah that crappy weather has blown over the lake and the temps are dropping here now.
Very, very nice platter. The Walnut and the blue resin really looks good.
Thank You
Wow so cool Doug !!! Love it ... fabulous how you can see your hand through it when you were polishing it up! 😍😍😍 gorgeous xxx
Thank you Claire !!!
Doug beautiful river plate. Love the blue on the walnut and the light blue resin. Would love to add that to my moms passover set of dishes.
Thank You Steve
Been watching your channel for a while now, but just finally subscribed. You really helped me learn by watching you. ive been turning for about 7 months now. Keep the videos coming! Awesome work every time!
Thank you Daniel and Welcome Aboard ! that's how I learned to turn, watched others and then went out to the shop,
Even with the rubbery surface still looks good Doug. 👍🇺🇸
Thank You Cortland
That’s a very very nice tray I like the way you did that with that streak of blue going down the middle of it even though it’s post to be green that’s really pretty I like the way you did it it’s very nice hopefully one day I can make one thank you so much I love watching you keep doing it God bless you
Thank you so much Richard😀
All I can say is WOW. Super job
Thank You Jack
So very very beautiful. I love the plate.
Thank you Lenea
It's always great to watch you work, Doug! You made something elegant out of chunks of wewd and plastic! Well done!
Thank you David
Wow that's awesome Doug looks great
Thank You Rich
Beautiful!! I have been wanting to do the same thing but too chicken, afraid of wasting the resin.LOL. Now I have to try. Thats funny, I used the same green dye in some pine cones and resin and they were green, thats weird. Also, thank you so much for being a loyal Paste user and a few other you tubers also, it means the world to Annette and I !!!! Thank you!
Received my first order of Ack's wood paste last week and I love it. it makes short work of removing the fine lines in resin that you can never seem to get rid of using sandpaper. No more wet sanding through 20 different grits.
@@crayz4life2 Now thats what wwe want to hear Ray!!! Thank you so much. Yesterday we applied for a LLC license and applying for apatent on Tuesday so we will be around. Pohl BArn needs to keep making these great wood and resin bowls and such!! He inspires me.
I'll do my best Tom ! Thanks again. I actually have a viewer that stops by the shop said he tried to order some from you but the site was down so I just gave him one of my extra's, we you making more or something ?
@@PohlBarnProductions I had to shut down for 2 days last week, our jars went on back order, we opened almost a week ago, had a talk with the jar people..LOL
Very nice Doug! That looks super cool 👍👍👍
Thank you, Sam
Love it, great job Doug!!!!👍👍👍👍

Thank you wooden, that was for a couple weeks here, I started this one then turned last weeks then finished this one. and I am still messing things up in the shop. to busy rushing to get out for deer season I think. my mind isn't on making things right now.
Can we put food in it & eat?

Thank you Mike, oh by the way I am Doug, Ken is that GOOFY guy over at MoonPie Creations ! LOL
@@PohlBarnProductions GAAK - I am so sorry Doug. How could I do that; my only excuse is I'm the old guy and get mixed up too often 👴 Note to self ... Doug is the SERIOUS one, Ken is the GOOFY one. -Mike

Cool looking plate....
Thank you Luie
very nice doug. i like it!
Thank you Dave
Very beautiful
Thank you
you are Genius , great job guy....Take care
Thank You
I have seen a lot of people having problems with Total boat setting up lately, you pulled it off and it looks great.
Thank you Ken, yeah it's hit or miss with it lately, they must be shipping us old stock or something. they Notice the issues as I get emails from them about it.
I use a lot of thick set also. It appeared to me that you were short on hardener. Couldn't really tell but it looked like you didn't pour much hardener. That's exactly what happens. Bad mixing will cause soft spots not soft all over. It will harden, just takes more time. A little heat will speed up the process. Mixing time looked a little short too, of course you could have edited some out. 2-3 minutes is needed. Keep on trucking my friend, good job, Larry
Thank YouLarry...The mix was fine, if you read the data shit it calls for 28 grams to every 100 grams of resin, not exactly 3 to 1, it was most likely the temp in the shop, and yes I sped up the mixing and eliminated some of it, no one needs to see all that, they get the idea.
I like it. I think the interference blue really stands out and makes it that much prettier.
Thank you Kris, see Watching that Zac guy pays off.
Yup, sure does!!!
Wow! Wish I could afford to have you make me a set of plates and bowls just like these for my house! Beautiful!
Thank you Christi. yeah that would be pricey wouldn't it. just the materials alone.
Very nice,, thanks for sharing,,👍
Thank you Mitchell, and thanks for the compliment in the LIVE feed also !
That is a gorgeous blue . Love your work.
Thank you Susan
Dude that is perfect
Thank you Jacob
It's still a lovely platter, Doug. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🇦🇺😅😅
Thank you Cathy
You're welcome, Doug.
Looks cool !
Thank you Donna
Looks killer Doug!
Thank you Bruce
Neat plat Doug! I had some thickset stay soft too.3 weeks later it seemed hard enough to turn. It was till I got down into it. Letting it set up in hopes of not losing a GALLON of resin!
Thank you BOB, I hear ya Bob, it's hit or miss with this stuff sometimes. some times the 2 to 1 goes off in 5 minutes and boils in the mixing cup.
I think it is excellent PBP!!! beautiful Platter.
Thank you
@@PohlBarnProductions I subscribed months ago, love all of your vids. Thanks.
I like it, good job
Thank you
Ein sehr schönes Stück!
Edel und schlicht, sehr fein. 👏🏻👍🏻
Thank You
Finally got to watch this week's project. I guess that stuff must have a real order to it otherwise you probably would have taken it in the house to cure in the heat
Thank You, no odor at all, I have a cat, she would walk in it. and it really runny so I probably would have spilled it getting it to the house,
Lol. Was still a good price. Hey when you doing your sanding you ever used steel wool
Darn spell check piece is what I meant
LOVE walnut! A mini river table...super!!!
I think everything turned out great...but if you really are wondering what went wrong...the interference blue only ACTED like it was dry and there was a chemical reaction to the alum green....but I think it looks great.
Thanks Morgan, the alumilite green changes colors in total boat resin,
@@PohlBarnProductions oh, so I was right? Does it change colours in other types of resin? Just curious.
@@PohlBarnProductions I was just wondering if you muted me or something because I couldn't find this comment. Glad I'm still here. I was watching someone else who was using alumite clear epoxy (which I never heard of before, to be honest) and they're project didn''t change colours with the alumite glue. Small world I should see that tonight. Anyway, glad I'm back.
I did not Mute you !!!! lol I have used it with other resins and it did change colors too, that is how I knew it would, I how ever have not tried it with Alumilite as of yet, I should probably do that since I have some, Alumilite makes many different resins, I have slow set, 12 minute work time as long as it's not that hot in the shop.
@@PohlBarnProductions yeah, honestly, I couldn't deal with the heat 🥵.
Very good
Thank you
Beautiful work. I really like your aesthetic style and your quality is always impeccable. Thanks for the video!
Thank you
Looks great Doug! I love walnut. it turns like Buttuh!
Thank you Zombie, Yes it does,
very nice work, colours look great together.... I had a similar issue and the resin turned "rubbery" with the heat generated with friction from turning / sanding
Thank you Simon
patricia here... beautifully done!!! love the walnut!!!!!
Thank you Patricia
I absolutely love it. Wish it was mine.
Thank you J'Lyssa
Looks nice
Thank you
Looks really good I had some resin act just like that after letting it dry for 2 weeks it was hard as could be so maybe your will harden up too
Lets hope so James and thanks for watching.
Love the blue edges. Wish I could turn this well!
Thank you Wendy, you can turn this well and there is nothing stopping you.
OMG that is SO beautiful! Good job
Thank You Quiggy, lol think that's the shortest comment ever from you !
It turned out great man, don't beat yourself up!
Thank you Harold, you know someone has to beat me up once in a while !
Beautiful platter. ❤️
Thank you Maddie
Very nice finish, ever so slight blue looks wicked.
That interference blue is awesome.
Good to see very minimal resin used & then not wasted.. haha 😱
Thank you
It’s pretty. Thought you were going to make a serving platter at first? Can you do a diorama in these? Like pour the river in the blues, them set in stones and ceramic koi fish with lighter or clear epoxy? I just get ideas watching you guys work, and hope it’s ok to share them?
I would think you could make one, some plastics the resin will not adhere to though, it gets an air pocket looking thing going on but I would think you still could make one.
ahhh big fella i thought you were doing a coffee table to start with, came out pretty cool mate thanks for sharing Ross
Thank you Ross. Fooled everyone !
Beautiful work Doug. You ought to name it "And a River Runs Through it" after the movie. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Gerald, I have to be careful of things like that or they will slap copy right stuff on my channel.
Pretty good stuff Doug!! Looks Purdy!!
Thank you Jake. Texas Pretty !!
