Yet another UA-cam wood/epoxy video where we burn our way through the Earth's resources chiseling away 90% of the material we actually started with. What a waste. Thumbs down.
About time you guys came up with some fresh ideas and learnt some new skills. This kind of stuff is long beyond its sell-by date now.
Thank you for Watching RAT ! guys like you amuse me ! sit at your keyboard and bash others, for starters this is a piece of worthless wood, not even fit to burn it's so punky and rotten, so in fact I gave it new life no matter how much of it hit the floor. pay attention maybe you'll learn something. and again Thanks for watching.
Assholes are way pass their sell by date too but looky looky, here you are!
Get over yourself, Sticky Rat's A**
@@elainegreen5855 you tell em!!!
@@jpwoodwork I gave you a thumbs up for your comment. However, you shouldn't have called Tricky Rat an Asshole. An Asshole is very useful and he/she doesn't qualify.
I love watching your work come to life with the finishing ❣️it’s a fantastic size and a beautiful color 🧜🏽♀️
I just love your art. It has been fascinating to watch you create and see beauty bloom instead of constantly being mind washed about the virus.
Thank You , OK so I hope you can take next weeks a the big joke it is ! LOL Just sayin
The natural pattern in the wood is stunning. The clear blue/green resin was the perfect color choice for this beautiful bowl
Thank You
It looks like you can see the ocean...beautiful work of art💖
Thank you Chary
woodturning with resin is great ideas! it's very beautiful, thanks for share!
Thank You
Beautiful! Looks like an underwater cavern. And your dog is about the sweetest bully ever!🤣
Thank You Karen
beautiful as always!! I love your sense of humor, too, btw. I think why I'm fascinated with you woodturning folk is because you seem to be just as fascinated with the evolving "unveiling" that occurs as I am! ♥
Thank You Jennifer, we start off with an idea of what we want and then find out what it wants to be as we go. you just never know what it's going to look like or be until it's finished.
I love the elder. Such a beautiful wood. And this bowl is incredible.
Thank you Chanda
That's cool Doug, one of my favorite kinds of wood to see worked on. Love that box elder, I like it a lot. Quit nitpicking about bubbles, it looks damn good.
I'm headed out to the woods for a week and won't have Internet, but I have UA-cam premium so I'm bringing you with me Doug. I'm looking forward to seeing it. - Ed
Thank You Ed
I love watching you making things because you never get down if it didn’t turn out the way you thought it should and I love it
Thank you Cindy, you have to have a mind set for this, you start off with an idea of what you want to make and go with the flow as the wood will decide the final outcome of every project.
Just beautiful ,love the touch of aqua 😀
Thank You Christine
Thank you for sharing Henry with us. He's an adorable puppy! Lol! I hope you took some time off to play with the little rascal! And I love your mermaid salad bowl. Beautiful!
Thank You Shelly, yes I did take time out for Henry, right after I showed you him, Movie magic and it looks like I did not.
Doug, that bowl is lovely ... wow!!!
Thank you
Very nice pieces Doug. You and Rod Humphrey are sure burning up the resin. All good works. Thanks for sharing.
Thank You Glen, I'm sure I'm burning up more than he is. LOL
I've seen several of your videos now and this by far is my most favorite piece. The color and shape has lit a fire in me! I HAVE to learn how to woodturn. I need a bowl like this in my life! I checked your Etsy and there nothing like this on there. But woodturning seems so therapeutic haha. I. Must. Try. It. Thanks for talking us through what you're doing. Your videos are the best I've found. Perfect mix of talking and fast forward. And no weird music! 😩
Thank you Ashley, yes things go quick in the store, especially if it was a video then it normally sells in the first hour, take your time have fun with it,
A beautiful bowl I like how the light shows through
Thank You Phils
It’s nice to see something that would be of no use to anyone because it is punky being used to make something so beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you Sonia
Beautiful piece. I love box elder wood. In my opinion it’s one of the prettiest local woods here in West Virginia. Great work Doug.
Thank You Tim
West Virginia is an amazing place!! Dad grew up there near Gilbert and just moved back near Princeton
The wood is so pretty and the bowl turned out great!
Thank You
Another masterpiece wood art...nice
Thanks again Jason
Each one I see is my new favorite! Love the color!
lol Thank you
Very beautiful bowl. I am very impressed with the Total Boat product. Even though you take a beating when it comes to using a gouge or carbide cutter. The results are well worth the effort when it is all done. I'm going to try the same Total Boat product you used for the pieces I have that cannot fit in a pressure pot. Just the information I needed to see. Thanks for taking the time to edit and post your videos.
Thank You Stephen, I'm not totally sure it is out yet, I poured just about 1920 gm of resin on the first pour, they warned me not to pour more than 3 inches thick, then I added more resin the next day to top off the pour, it did turn out nice but I did also get a witness line where the pours met, not bad but visible. I do have a promo code POHLBARN for 20% off
The cracks made the bowl unique for real i love it
Thank You Vilmarie
Wonderful piece of work.
I can see that on a summer table piled with fruit or vegetables, or perhaps with a salad...
Or as a centerpiece on a table all by itself.
Thank You Ian
Now I like you even more since I learned you like dogs. I have 8, and I foster for a rescue. I really enjoy your videos!
That is awesome! We have Pomskies and breed them, Thanks for watching Liz
The wife loves your pup!!
Thank you
great job and a awesome piece fantastic wood thank you for sharing
Thank You
Your work is amazing Doug!! Love the use of the resin and color! I'm always learning something new from you so thank you for sharing.
Thank You Steve

Thank You Jacki
Beautiful piece. Had to watch it again.
Wow, thank you!
Another awesome bowl! We need to see more of Henry! As per usual, great job Doug!
Thank You Bob, seems Henry is quite popular
Gorgeous salad bowl!
Thank You Stephen
GREAT!! Look as as though you have the wood/resin combo down pat. Sanding, and the paste looks like the resin cleaned up real nice!!
Thank You Tom
Your dog’s just so sweet!
Thank you
Outstanding finish! Well done!
Thank You Shaun
Very cool looking bowl! Nice size. Love the resin coloring...

Thank You Richard
Very nice Doug! Love the mermaid blue! Theres a lot going on in that piece of wood too. Nice work!
Thank You Mert !
A beautiful piece. I love it.
Thank you
Really nice! I just found your channel. I've been binge watching a lot of your vids. You're ridiculously talented! Keep up the great content!
Thank You Carter. you're eventually going to find my not so good vids, sorry about them in advance. lol
I love the inadvertent resin lip on the bowl. There are no mistakes in art. They are unplanned creative occurrences.
Thank you Maureen
Another beautiful piece.
Thank you so much 😊
I love your work, and the up cycling of otherwise useless junk wood. I have been working with resins for years, and a couple suggestions for getting rid of bubbles would be instead of pressure, try a vacuum chamber, or another method is with vibration. Vacuum pulls the air out of crevices, and the vibration helps them rise and faster and pops them when they hit the surface. Keep up the great work, and the corny humor, I’ll keep watching and getting inspired, Thanks, and round and round she goes
Thank You, I currently don't have any of that equipment, some day hopefully
That’s so gorgeous! I love how beautiful and natural it looks! It would look wonderful in my house 🥰
Angie
Thank You Hippie, keep an eye on the etsy store, we lost power last night so the wife didn't get it up and we've been busy today but I believe it's going up sooner or later.
I love it. Beautiful
Nice job Doug. I like the color combination.
Thank You David
Love the colors on the bottom
Thank You Mike
Bowl looks great, Doug. I like the wood "island" floating near the rim in the one large area of resin.
Thank You William, it is kinda cool looking just floating there all by it's self !
That bowl is absolutely beautiful....I just popped on this....AMAZING TALENT...BEAUTIFUL!!!
Thank you Terry
I really like it. It turned out great! Looks beautiful.
Thank You Desiree
Henry! 😍 shop dawg number 1 fan! Love the mermaid bowl and glad to see foxy keeping you supervised - another beauty Doug 😘🌲🦊🌲
Thank You Claire.. Foxy is everywhere !
Excellent finish resin shade also good
Thank you so much 😊
That bowl is pretty cool, I’m liking the see through parts real well!
Thank You Johnny
Yet another master piece.
Thank you Sandra
Henry's AWESOME Brother! …oh yeah Great Bowl too!
Thank You Steve, Henry is the best dog ever !
I love using spalted wood. The colors and designs flowing through the wood makes some beautiful works of art. I use cyanoacrylic glue and powdered rocks (turquoise -lol) to hold it together. Of course the spalting can't be too advanced for this to work. I need to get the pressure pot set up and go from there.
I like the experimenting you do and the comments. The Mermaid Bowl is a keeper.
Thank You, experimenting is how we learn.
Great to see you persevere and win with this piece. Awesome look too!
Thank You Bob
Fantastic bowl Doug! 👍👍👍
Thank You Sam
wow...gorgeous bowl Doug👌👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Pretty cool. I love when you shut off the lathe and say something to the effect of that's not right but it looks fantastic to me. Very nice project
Thank You Steve, in person and on camera are two different things. then add my OCD into the mix
Wow, beautiful work.
Thank you so much 😀
You are almost finished with my whole set of bowls!! Ocean and Mermaid done. Just two more!! lol
sending out goodies that will go with the theme....soon.
Just got to get to the post office.
Beautiful job as always!
Thank You Kim, give it a name, Shore line bowl maybe, not sure, I'll be keepin an eye out for them.
Just beautiful 👍
Thank you Magik
beautiful salad bowl!!
Thank You
It’s gorgeous!
Thank You Wendy
Another beautiful piece, thanks for sharing.
Stay safe.
Thank You Tandy
Doug it is a fantastic and stunning bowl, it is magnificent.
Thank You Kobie
I really like this one! I watched the one this week with box elder and really like that one also.
I carve instead of turn wood so I don't use the same kind of wood.
Thank you Monica,
Absolutely beautiful piece pal. Well done sir. 👊👊👊
Thank You Martin
Very lovely bowl!
Thank You Carol
I like this big project
Thank you
Beautiful bowl, can’t believe I missed when it was first put up. That Tim Holtz has some great products. It would be interesting to see how the oxide inks work with wood & resin. All the best. Lisa😁
Thank You Lisa, as long as they are not water based they should work fine
Love it ! a superb piece of work Doug.
Cheers, Bram
Thank You Bram
Great piece Doug, luv the resin effect 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank You Mark
I’m absolutely in love. Had you used clear resin it would
have looked like it was floating. So amazing.
but I have so many colors I haven't used yet, LOL already done clear.
Thank You
I love the finish, I think satin finishes are beautiful on wood like that. Sometimes too shiny just distracts from the details of the wood. Lovely color for the resin too!
Another awesome piece! I was a bit nervous with the wobble, that could've hurt. A lot. I love the way it turned out, though.
Thank You Rose, I was worried too that is why I left the tail stock in place as long as I could.
It's lovely I love the colors. I can imagine tossing a big salad in.
Thank You
i love this bowl all your hard work paud of looks really well. i loved the guest appearance of Henry wanting to play lol.... love sent from uk as always
Thank You Debi
Lovely work again Doug. A star is born, no not you, Henry is adorable.
Thank You David, LOL yeah seems everyone thinks that.
Funny how that bowl was in there all along, but it took you to find it. Good find, too.
Thank you Anders, lol it was a good find wasn't it !
That looks nice ....never worked box alder , really light you say ....to bad all that wood we have to turn off , so much wasted ......sometimes I like to pick up all the waste and glue it back and turn it again LOL
I like that shine and how quick you get it to shine .
I bought some Ack's and have been using it this pass couple of days , told Ann I got the "thumbs up " from you .
I like it a lot .....so nice and quick .
Thanks for showing it .
Thank You Bruce, well the box elder I have is half rotten and I get a lot of tear out from it, you can tell when I get into a nicer piece of it as the curls start coming off of it. I am glad you said that to them, they are so worried about their product not doing well. told them to give it time.
Beautiful bowl 😀
Thank you very much!
Beautiful Doug these castings are massive well done my friend and thank you for the shout out :-)
Thanks again Pam... No Problem and You are very welcome, I've got another one going like this.
