Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is a high fantasy real-time strategy video game released by Blizzard Entertainment in July 2002. It is the second sequel to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and it is the third game set in the Warcraft fictional Universe.

Back when Sylvanas had depth and before Blizzard decided to take all that depth away because they've forgotten how to tell a coherent story.

Honestly after watching this Sylvanas hasnt changed remotely.
She is not a good or moral person never was.

Sylvanas was once a noble elf warrior who protected her land. In undeath, Sylvanas wanted revenge on Arthas and she did everything she thought necessary, moral or not. But now, after killing Arthas, they made Sylvanas a histerical, powerhungry bitch who is upset on everyone who is alive.
@@minolamycat91 she was an arrogant egoistical leader. She had every chance to assassinate Arthas instantly but no, she just send in her Farstriders on suicide charges knowing they will be reanimated.
Why? Because she wanted to be remembered as a hero who defeated Arthas. Selfish Honor > Her People.

Hillsbrad, Southshore, Dun Garok, Astranaar, Darkshore, Teldrassil, Brennadam, she and her Forsaken intentionally targeted civilians there. Then her forsaken would lobotomize and experiment on them.
She also reanimated Kirin Tor mages in Ambermill without giving them free will, then she controls Koltira. I don't know whatever she did to Delaryn and Sira but that sounds like she controlled them. Then Derek Proudmoore.

If only she stood by them in retail.
The final undead campaign is miles better than the rest of the game combined, if only they had made a second expansion or a warcraft 4. The level design is better, the stories are deeper, the factions are more interesting and the characters are frankly better.
The story in WC3 was far more engaging to me than anything WoW has done storywise
I wish so much there would have been a Warcraft 4 or something. For example I would really want to see where Kael'thas' story was originally going to go.
The characters had themes and the potential for a satisfying resolution.
Arthas is the only one who at least came close to that, but that's only because his "fallen hero" story was pretty much finished with the end of TFT.

Yes because unlike rest of the game and entire story of WoW in frozen throne the undead campaign it's not story of good guys beat good guys .
It's realy shame that very few campaign designers from warcraft 3 team found a place in WoW team . And pretty much no one left with Tbc expension pack . This probably explains why vanilla wow had different feeling .
@@fatihzirek7440 This is true. Also before WoW, Blizzard really cared about the quality of their game especially when it comes to lores. But now all they care about is profit and they neglect the quality of their lore.

Sylvanas was never a villain. She was just someone who wanted her own kind of peace after all the shit she went through.

Never understood why Sylvanas would take in Varimathras. She knows that Dreadlords are infamous for backstabbing and lying to people. Sure enough this came back to bite her in the ass later on in the story.

Well Varimathras knew what his brothers plans were and thus Sylvanas could defeat them more easily....as to why Sylvanas decided to keep him around even after, I dont know...perhaps she grew overconfident that the demon would not backstap her, cause she had already defeated him once.

Maybe one of you can explain why the Dreadlords/Nathrazeim didn't just kill Arthas right there and then when they lured him into the trap. They could've overpowered him easily.
Arthas had plot armor
Not sure they could. In game they definitely are more powerful, but lore wise death knight arthas was terrifyingly strong.
He made an entire bridge of ice out of the ocean to chase down the last of the high elf army and its king to slaughter him in an epic magic battle.
DK Arthas was stronger than these Nathrazeim. He “killed” one just like them back when he was a human. Not to mention the guy later beat Illidan, who easily defeated their superior, Tichondrius.
When they got him into the trap, it was all just a set up so Sylvanas can come out later and torture Arthas because they have made a deal with her. And it all went perfectly until Kel’Thuzad showed up and saved the day.
Arthas gravely insulted them, if I were them, I wouldve done the same toying with him until he dies a humilating death.
the banshees summoned before arthas destroyed quel thalas are the ghosts of night elves that died 10 thousnd years ago when demons first came to azeroth, after being dead 10 thousand and then enslaved for the past few years under the lich king, i dont think they remember what "overjoyed" means let alone how to use it in a sentence

Aron Johansson there were banshees before before quel thalas was destroyed killed by demons the first time they came to azeroth
But these Banshees are High Elf ghosts. In Reign of Chaos they were completely absent in the Human campaign and can only be trained after Arthas kills Sylvanas.

He was working with Putress(w/e his name was) which lead to the development of that plague and the siege of Undercity.

Iqbalx1 Going back to the Twisting Nether is a tormenting experience and he'll take ages to come back, he wouldn't wanna do that.
This was before WoW brought the bullshit with "All Demons resurrect eventually" killing any sense of finality (pun intended) for when any of these guys died in Warcraft 3 or before.
They made it super damn painful and take ages for them to resurrect though. It's actually worse than death for them most of the time, think it was a nice change.
Also, his "failure" in the Undercity (his goal was to construct a plague to fight Arthas and work on a portal to summon Sargeras) was punishable by unending torment by the 3 sisters. He knew that. His mission was paramount to the Legions plans in Azeroth. His death was just not an option
