Would you renounce those feelings if I told you that Runas was actually behind the attack on the blue dragons by the Nightfallen and Withered? There is some hidden, datamined dialogues where Runas in fact was supposed to help them invade the blue dragons and senegos in the pool. They cut that from the questline however. The more you know, right?
I will never forget the first time I saw Runas wither. It's one of those small, impactful moments that Blizzard is really good at doing. I sat there jaw dropped and stomach turning for a good 30 seconds. It was so so SO hearwrenching, right from the "I can not see you anymore" line. I wanted to hug him so bad and just be like 'I'm here, Runas, I'm here !!!' But sadly, that's not an emote.

Obscure lore facts! During the quest "Learning From the Dead", wherein you go to Black Rook Hold (outdoors) to find five books of tactics written by Lord Ravencrest during or shortly before the time of the War of the Ancients, one of the books you might find is titled "Voodoo, Geomancy, and the Magic of Peasants". This implies that at that time, the lower classes among the night elves were still practicing some of the old trollish ways!
I don't think it makes sense, as they worship Elune, and not the 4 elements. They draw their powers from the Moon and nature instead of asking the Elements ^^
Well Geomancy is more commonly the field of dwarfs, trogg or kobolds. But as another comment pointed out both geomancy and voodoo are often tied to shaman spells.
If they get heroine, it would also be traumatic. Actually I do like to play male blood elves. They do have jokes about it. One is where they mention getting a patch for mana. Another is when they try to recite the serenity prayer, but then they mess up and demand for more magic.
Well the whole Azeroth was suppose to be Troll Land. I might be wrong but in WoW universe, each planet supposedly have only 1 main race. If Bolvar can suddenly have an adult daughter, anyone can fucking have hidden children from way back when. Sylvanas and Nathanos used to be alive, ya know.
Before their war with the aqir, the troll tribes claimed most of ancient Kalimdor. Many of the tribes constantly clashed with each other, but one tribe, the "dark trolls", lived in a network of deep caverns stretching beneath Mount Hyjal. They hated the daylight and only emerged from their caverns at night. In time, these nocturnal habits turned their blue skin into hues of gray. The dark trolls were unconcerned with the other tribes' skirmishes and cherished their independence from the rest of troll society, and mostly ignored the activity of the other tribes.
Quillboar, Centaur, Troggs, and a few others I may have missed, are all in the evolution of Azeroth because of the old gods. They don't directly serve the old gods, but they are in the world because the old gods wanted these brutish warmongering races to fan the flames of conflict in the world. That... doesn't make sense. Like, these races indirectly serving the old gods NOW is okay, but Troggs and centaurs have prior states we can look at. The Centaur are mostly a less advanced state of the faction of Ramhamken, whereas the Trogg lore ties them pretty closely to the dwarves and Earthen. Plus, this doesn't explain why the Quilboar are worshiping a dead Wild God.
Gerdat14 They are descendants of that dead wild god, who died in the war of ancients. They have no knowledge of the old gods, nor were they created by the old gods. The Quilboar, like the centaur (who are born from Zaetar, Son of Cenarius and that ugly princess in mara) and the troggs (created in the yogg-saron corrupted forge of wills by the titanforged keepers) are all there from a chain of dysfunctional events started by the old gods. The troggs were made as of a reaction to a war with yogg-saron. The Centuar come from a princess of an elemental lord who once served the old gods. Quilboar, from a dead wild-god from the war of ancients, which also was a war that was actually incited by the old gods. These brutish races are the result of chaos sewn that can be traced back to them. One of the things I've been looking forward to the most was Drust archaelogy, hoping to learn more about the ancient history of early humanity after being affected by the curse of flesh. WOW! Some old school Oxhorn in there, really appreciate that one! love his new channel, though fallout isn't quite wow.
Welcome to the World of Warcraft, where you're either a broken Titan construct or have somehow evolved from Trolls.
what? then what about tauren or orcs? they are neither of what you said xD same goes with the panda's and draenei, but i see the joke you were trying to make :p
@@bunnyrabi According to The Chronicles, Orcs are descendants of Titan constructs, similarly to Humans. And let's be real, who unironically plays Pandaren?
Nobbel these vids are so great. Keep em coming! Or let me know what editing software you use so I can make similar content :D
The end with Oxhorn was perfect
that oxhorn piece got me dude, very nice throwback
12:12 “we always knew that their Fel corruption which turned into ice cream”.
LOVE THE OXHORN TOUCH AT THE END! miss that guy
Oxhorn is doing his own Lore videos now: Fallout Lore.
Thank you so damn much for using Oxhorns epic old goodie of the Elves xD
When someone says to me Blizzard doesn't have complicated writings, I will post him this video. Thanks Nobbel!
XD omg Oxhorn's Elf song!!! XD Great informational vid!!!
Pretty sure you've already covered this, but could we get a cohesive video on the story of the titanforged creations and their evolution as well?
One of the things I've been looking forward to the most was Drust archaelogy, hoping to learn more about the ancient history of early humanity after being affected by the curse of flesh.
Warcraft is one of those few fantasy universes where humans aren't just "there" as a bland and boring race, but actually have a LOOOOOONG history to them tied to the very ordering of Azeroth.
I’m glad you made a video on this topic
Lovely touch with oxhorn there. Miss those animations so much.
Amazing video nobbel!
Oxhorn, I miss him!!! I wish Oxhorn could make another now and then, but I understand that family is first. This was a fun and good video. almost makes you wonder what Oxhorn would do now that yet once again, there is another pretty race in the horde. Maybe you can contact him Nobble, ask him his thoughts, and also see how he is doing. I would think it would be a wonderful interview.
That song at the end was an awesome little easter egg. Btw, he actually resubbed briefly about 3 years back - just so he could do a spot on wowcrendor's "Fishing with Crendor." ua-cam.com/video/t1rcRy20eS8/v-deo.html However, he's said many times that he's just not interested in WoW or any fantasy-based RPG at this point - the chakking blit! :-D
I love Oxhorn's work, both his old WoW machinima and his current channel. I don't even play the Fallout games (his current raison d'être), but he's such a good storyteller...I can't resist watching anyway. :-)
PS: here's his current channel, if anyone's interested: ua-cam.com/channels/sC--WvN66vZlDoYShzn4sA.html
Awesome video, thanks nobbel
I was screaming internally when you played The Anti-Elf Anthem by Oxhorn.
And a lil Oxhorn at the end. A nice touch. :>
Now if we could just get playable High elves for Alliance and Undead Elves for Horde I would be happy :D
greetings traveler
Drasiella of Darnassus no silly, you read it.
@@drasiella i put my ear close to my phone, but im not hearing anything
Ishnu'Alah. May Elune light your path.
that Runas the shamed saying goodbye gets me every time...
Nice video as always, but you forgot the spider elves in Suramar!
sometimes i go for awhile not watching a nobbel vid and then when i come back his voice just makes me weak at the knees
@Nobbel87 Huge props for using classic Oxhorn tune at the end 😁😁😁😁
That Oxhorn throwback. Nice touch.
The song at the end exploded nostalgia all over my brain
Dammit now i have to hear some more oxhorn again
Can you please make a video about the Higborne Elves? You make good lore videos about Warcraft and I enjoy it.
Haha the song throwback at the end is gold
Omg that Oxhorn clip at the end lol. Now that's an old reference. I was so dissapointed when he stopped making machinimas.
OMG OXHORN oh no, I'm in nostalgia tears
Every time you say the fel turned their eyes green, I was hearing it as 'When they absorbed the fel, it turned to ice cream' haha
Was driving yesterday and wondering how all this happened... thanks bro montana
OMG THE END SONG NOSTALGIA FROM THE GOLDEN AGE
So in essence, elves are just drug addicted trolls
Oh wow one oxhorn's old song at 16:22 was great it's been many years since years since i heard it.
Yay! OxHorn! Good times!
