V Rising has been nicely polished up during its dark slumber in Early Access, allowing it to fully rise to the occasion with its excellent boss design and challenging ARPG combat. Keeping the killing rays of the sun and your dwindling blood supply as ongoing concerns is effective and evocative in selling the vampire fantasy, as is the ability to craft the sprawling, spooky estates of my nightmares. And the huge amount of customization available when setting up your own private server practically eliminates the need to do chores that are timed to real-world days in a way that only really makes sense for playing with a larger clan and having those timers going even when you're not online. It's one of the best ARPGs - and one of the best vampire games, in general - of this moonlit age. - Ігри

After 1.0 I can imagine this game getting at least 94/95% positive reviews on steam, or maybe even overwhelmingly positive

By adding DLC during early access they deserve all negatives

Well deserved, thats how EA should be, listening to Player Feedback and dont be Scared to rework whole Game Systems and following a clear Vision for the Game.

Why is this review so poorly done - Classes/Archetypes mentioned like for 10 seconds , 0 idea on weapons rarity types? Game looks like a 9 , your incomplete review is a disaster.

@@daveyjudah2208 - "One of the best", if you can name another open world survival based ARPG PvP game with very well implemented skill shot MOBA style combat that deserves to be in that list though, I'll check it out!

That was at least as much of a chore to listen to as it must've been for him to review. Seriously the most whiney-voiced and just overall jaded-sounding 9.0 review I've ever heard.

I'm still waiting for the game to have NPC's raiding your castle from time to time. It would make the world feel more alive it somewhat more fun.
Devs didnt have time to do it this update but another big one is planned so prob then
@@Spriktor until they release some sort of statement or roadmap for the game I'm just coping on this feature. Weird that even though its one of the most requested feature on their official suggestion page after it was launched they didn't work on it. It would have been a major feature and a big pull for a lot of PVE survival base building players alongside 1.0.

Very bad test of the game.
Worse, when you actually know really well the game and its mechanics, that's obvious the IGN reviewer only spent a few hours on it, therefor barely scratching the tip of an immersed volcano.
"Video games pro press" has become an overall joke. Credibility and seriousness has permanently deserted the the field.

Yeah call me a fanboy (of V Rising) if you will, but some of the things talked about and shown indicate this is going to be an amazing gaming experience for a lot of people for a very long time. It really seems they have nailed it and have made a game of a quality we rarely see these days.
I've listened to a lot of discussion about this game. But this is the first time I've seen actual gameplay.
This vaguely reminds me of Tecmo's Deception, at least the castle part

You might wanna put a bit more enthusiasm into your reviews...i was expecting this game to get a 3 out 10 based on the sound of your voice and constant whining about every aspect of the game....but it ends up getting a 9...ooooookkkkkk.

Like others pointed out, the narration on this video is awful. He's speaking unusually slowly, and when he's speaking about things in the game, it skews negative, even though the game got a 9. Apparently the writer of the review, is not the same person as the person speaking, so both might be to blame here. In any case, the video review is pretty bad. The video shouldn't be over 10 minutes either, that's way too long for an IGN review, but honestly part of the problem is the slow diction.
