I saved for SO long to get a set of Hasport mounts for my fully built LSVTEC turbo in my EJ8 Civic coupe (that makes 709 whp) and I am so happy with my purchase. I had Innovative mounts, I had a custom brand, and it just vibrated and sounded like crap. As soon as I got the Hasport mounts it sounded and ran so much better. Absolutely NO vibration and the engine stays right where it's supposed to. Seriously, if anyone out there is building a Honda, you owe it to yourself to spend the extra cash and get a set of Hasport mounts for whatever you're project is.
@@avie1679 Tough to say. The swap may be anywhere from $2500 to $4500. Then the other needed parts are less than $1400. You may be able to get the swap for even less if you find the right seller parting out a wrecked 06 Si.
Nice vid. looks like it fits great, heaps of ground clearance too.. Yeah dropping the car onto the engine is the go... the camera shot from above is cool!
@@VTECAcademy the csx uses a k20z2, 160hp and either a 5speed auto or manual. feels almost slower than a r18 civic. same subframe as the malaysian/asian fd civics
Off topic but I've always wanted to swap an R18 into 5th/6th Gen Civic for a daily driver. I feel it would provide better power and maybe be able to get better fuel economy than a D series.
The FD2 typ r in Japan has hydrilic power steering I'm sure if you used the high pressure line from that car it should be easy to get the hybrid power steering working with this swap, here is the pn 53713-SNW-023
It is probably too short since those cars are right-hand drive with puts the valve body near the same side as the pump. But this is good to know. That ECU will have at PS pressure switch input. I'll need to find out where it is and see if it is dormant US ECU.
@@VTECAcademy your right I didn't think of that, probably wouldn't be hard to make a custom line. The eps unit has an output that goes to the ECU just like the ps pressure switch so I assume they would send the same information, compare how the pnf ecu is wired to the pnd or prb
Great vid, may I ask what it takes to convert from hydro to electric power steering - is that easy? Also, what happens if the donor for the K24 is a TSX with a steel pan? Will this rear mount fit to the mount location on a steel pan?
@@VTECAcademy , that would be a great thing to see as a video showing this process - do you plan to show such thing in the future? Is wiring separate harness that is plug-n-play or what you call a "bunch of wiring" is a lot more involved? Regarding the rear mount, what I see is the mount is the same for early and late model TSX, which must mean that in your kit the rear mount is the same too - but would be happy to read it for the piece of mind.

Please help
Yes, but there aren't mounts made for that swap. You'd have to make them. You could modify some stock mounts to work. The passenger side mount would be the more difficult one. The wiring would pose a problem. Power steering is electronic on the Si so you would either need to change the rack with the subframe or make an idler pulley for the engine. Then you'd have to have Honda reprogram the ECU to work with the Si chassis.
With this mount kit you can also use the RSX, EP3, 08-13 Accord, 09-14 TSX, 12-15 Civic Si transmissions. The RSX and EP3 wound need a different shifter, the others would need a different bracket on top of the transmission to hold the cables.

That's what they strive for. Your Civic sounds rad!
Yeah baby! Finally R18 civic is getting the love for it. Can't wait for the motor mounts to buy.
Exactly, avoid the Si tax, but make as much or more power. 👍🏽
Bc of the 8th gen SI’s value going up, I think this route might harbor people’s interest.
Exactly, plus you can save weight without all the Si stuff.
Very cool, I would love to see the 8th gen base models see the same potential as the EG/EK base models had.
Hasport for the win!
Hasport is alright, we guess! LOL
Just in time! TAKE MY MONEY!!!!
Well, if you insist...

R18 is awesome, it’s like B18 power but with better MPG than a D15z6
Here’s a swap someone done
R18 into EG

They should make type r swap mounts for 9th gen civic also
First, Hasport has to buy a car
Thank you... I'm getting schooled. I'm almost ready to do a k20/24 swap on FG2 by way of the top of the engine bay. 😂

It was worth the wait ! 😘So the kit is already available fg1stk?

Now that K20c1 5 door Type r is 5 is out I might have to forget about this swap… only problem is then needing 4 to 5 seater swap.

Thanks for subbing!
So basically 06 si mounts and subframe with harness then electric power steering to make it work
Is your shop in AZ?
do you guys ship to canada? need these asap lol
Try one of Hasport’s Canadian distributors to see if they have it in stock, otherwise it’s about 4 weeks back ordered right now.
Will this be the same as the 9th gen civics
Good question. When we get one we will know.
Did the side bracket brace form the r18 fit the Hasport right engine mount ?
