    Mind Full Mom, you've been my go to channel ever since I got my Instant Pot about 6 months ago. Your instructions and cook times have been very accurate. I always search your videos first for recipe information.

    Thanks for the quick tutorial and true comments on using instant pots without lengthy reading and "trying things out according to the booklet" on timing and guessing if someone has gotten the correct direction booklet with their product from the get go. At first, when instant pots became a new item for the kitchen to save time and cook fantastic juicy meals; some people, and I know a few, found that it became a counter space hog because it was not used frequently and to some degree "scary and challenging" to experiment with portion in conjunction with timing because nobody wanted to have any results of wasted food, myself included. Then I and others have found you! You make cooking with it easy, less scared to fail, and always have a smiling positive presentation on cooking with it. Terrific channel. I have told people at work that if they are ever in doubt of giving up on this method of cooking go to your channel. Good luck and I hope my friends subscribe. Keep them good cooking vibes coming, you have hooked me.

    Love my Instant Pot. I don't have the same model but it's about similar. My girlfriend must have an older one I use a bit but it doesn't have the yogurt function so we use mine for that. I try to follow your channel but don't get notifications. Happy new year!

      If you have questions on your model, don't hesitate to ask! And for notifications, hit the bell on the video, that should turn them on.

      @AMindFullMom I'm user friendly with my Instant Pot Viva 8 quart. My girlfriend's 6 quart must be older with fewer functions. I appreciate your reply. Happy new year!

    I wish there was a way to
    Make yogurt in my IP that does not have the yogurt option. Have you tried? Is there any way to do this?

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  5 місяців тому +1

      Yes! While more finicky, it is possible. I outline the steps here: amindfullmom.com/instant-pot-yogurt/

    Mine doesn’t have a Manual button. It has Pressure Cook I believe instead of that; all the other buttons are like those you have.

    How do you use sous vede???

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  5 місяців тому

      Great question! I don't use it myself, but know how to use it on models it is available on. Fill your insert pot to the half-full mark, or more if needed so that your food is fully immersed in the water. Press the Sous Vide button, then turn the knob (or push button) to select the specific or custom sous vide program. Press the knob to confirm. Turn the knob to adjust the temperature, then press the knob to confirm. Adjust your cooking time and press start. Once the water reaches the right temperature, add your food and cook as desired.

    How about the "Rice" function?

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  5 місяців тому

      I would avoid using it. On some models it defaults to low pressure. Instead cook for 3 minutes on high pressure for long grain white rice and 22 minutes for long grain brown rice, using rinsed rice and 1:1 ratio rice to liquid.

      @@AMindFullMom Thanks! What does rinsing the rice do?

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  5 місяців тому

      Rinsing rice will remove the surface starch that can cause the rice to get mushy and stick together when cooked. So for fluffy, NON-mushy rice, you want to rinse your rice before pressure cooking it.@@DavidsOutdoors-of1vs

    I have the newest instant pot and all these old models videos are not helpful. If you’re making videos then wouldn’t you have one too? I’m not trying to be rude, but as someone looking to learn more, yours is different than mine. If you have those, can you send me the direct link please?

    • @brookeventeicher4397
      @brookeventeicher4397 5 місяців тому

      Or please go buy the instant pot pro, so I can learn from you. I can clearly see you know what you’re doing, and I don’t. Lol please!😂

    • @AMindFullMom
      @AMindFullMom  5 місяців тому

      That is valid, BUT this model is still sold and most commonly purchased. Also, you actually would be surprised to know that it works very similarly to the pro :) To saute, hit saute and then use the knob to select low, medium, or high temperature and then press the knob to begin the cooking process. To pressure cook, hit pressure cook, custom should be blinking, if not turn knob until it is and then hit knob to confirm. To select pressure, High pressure should be blinking. If it isn’t blinking, turn the knob until it’s blinking. Press the knob to confirm High. Turn the knob until you see your desired pressure cooking time and then press Start.
