Great video Deirdre! Quick thought: I have used “Reynolds” freezer paper for a similar project involving fabric. You likely know this, but for those not able to source label stock, thought I’d mention. Thank you so much for all your fantastic videos!

I absolutely LOVE your videos! I always get such great APPLICABLE ideas to use for my own projects and for the ladies that I teach at our local domestic violence/sexual assault shelter!
Mind blown! I've been wondering what to do with the 2 boxes of CD labels! And this is the first video I've seen that this technique is useable with a laser printer. Thank you for sharing!
Have you ever used freezer paper or butcher paper to print on as your carrier paper. Both have a slick non wax coating that is similar to the sheet your using and would be cheaper and easy to find in the grocery store.
Ms Diedre, I just lined some bookshelves with DOLLAR TREE contact paper. The backing on the contact paper is almost exactly as the CD/mailing labels. Do you think that backing paper could be used in the same way as you do in this video? I think I will try and see what happens.
Thank you for this and other videos, helped me a lot 😅 What do think about decoupage napkins or other paper on cotton muslim fabric with quite loose weave? 😊
That is pretty cool, but I have an inkjet printer instead of a laser one. Have you tried using the inkjet printer and what did it look like afterwards? I'm just looking for an easier way to transfer a picture or photo to fabric without using Mod Podge? Thank you.
No this doesn't work well with a ink jet. The ink smears to easily. I haven't really found a great method to transfer to fabric without Mod Podge unless you have a Cricut. Thanks for watching
Print on the wax paper, and save your labels. Christine Elizabeth, is one channel, that I know of, who does print on wax paper, with an ink jet printer, and her project came out beautiful.
I use freezer paper & a color laser. I put on 1 coat of Mod Podge then I add a second coat just before I put down the print. I squeegee it on very well, leaving no bubbles. I leave it overnight & pull off the paper in the morning. I found the ironing left spots & made the Mod Podge a bit bubbled. Might have just been me & too hot of an iron! My method is longer but I do get great results. This is a great place to start for ideas! She makes great videos!
Just getting started on projects you provide. Where do you find pillow cases and good material so cheap? Please share. I want to do pillows with sayings for deck and porch. Thanks again. Mary
It does tend to have a bit of a glossy sheen after you iron. I am unsure how to completely eliminate that unless you could find a really matte top coat to cover it
Yeah, I don't care for that, either. I notice it on the transfers on wood projects too, where you rub the paper off, and that would bug me, personally. That is why I am not a fan of the rib on transfers, like IOD or Prima Redesign make. They have a shiny edge. They are beautiful, though.
@@MissMolly3377 I love IOD, try sanding the imagine to get a less shiny look but it will look slightly distressed or try dealing with a matte sealer. Or wax but don’t buff to a high sheen.
Deirdre: slightly off-topic but for wood signs what is the difference between using regular mod Podge and mod Podge image transfer? Do you recommend one or the other? (I know the photo transfer is for an opaque background)
Can you reuse the waxy paper if it all comes off clean? I feel I should ask before I go off blindly ruining instead of crafting which is just as easy 😉 ~ all respect ~
I hate stupid but this is a stupid question 😮. You said to print on shiny side of paper. Q: do I put the shiny side Up or Down to get print on the correct side? First time at doing your great tutorial. Thank you!!!
I tried to do this cuz I thought it would be fun. I don't have an laser printer. When I tried to go get it done places nobody will let me use that paper from the back of the labels, they say it will burn the printer rollers. Any suggestions?
This will ultimately work. But its washability is literally none. Besides there are way easier ways to do this for one thing you do need cd labels any pet film will work.

About 20 years ago i did this in a quilting work shop i had to buy a injet printer because it wouldnt work on my lazer!

Why won't it work on a inkjet printer?
The ink jet uses Ink where the laser printer uses a toner, and that transfers onto that type of paper
Why not just use iron transfer paper? Cheaper?
Why don’t you use the transfer sheet that makes for this they cost the same
i guess you can't wear it after when you use that technique?
This technique is not washable
It would really have helped and saved time if you’d said right at the outset it was laserjet and not inkjet, not half way thru & wasting my time.
