Gosh I was going to take my canvas and have it done but now I can do it myself and do it right to the canvas and then do a modge podge and use a little bit of paint to give it a more hand done look❤
I love the idea of adding a little paint!
Great video! I don't recall any other YT videos telling you to do more than one pass and letting it dry between passes. I did one of my granddaughter on canvas and it still had paper on it (I quit rubbing it because it was starting to rub completely off). I threw it away not knowing that I could have done another pass. I'll try it again, using your instructions. Thanks!!!
yes - I like to let it dry for an hour or so and then repeat till all the paper is gone.
Back years ago, i did a copied photo transfer to painted wood using the regular mod podge and it did just fine. I didn’t know they had different types of mod podge. The item is holding up fine too.
I'm glad to hear that! This type is used for fabric too.... so many different formulas. :)
First time viewer. Love this video. I will be trying pic on wood. Thank you for mentioning needing a laser print picture.
Thanks so much!
How is photo transfer better than regular mod podge? Thanks.
Greetings from the UK, I am watching this video at 04:40 12th May 2024 and It is really helpful. Thank-you
Your guys are awesome to watch love all the info I’m probably wrong but over the months I’ve noticed some people have tried with success only having an inkjet printer available it shows we can spray it with a light coat of hairspray as soon as it’s done printing to seal all of the ink into the pictures before using into different transfer projects…Hope this helps👍
This is awesome and so simple. I can't wait to try this!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this idea, and will try and implement it into my art. As a mixed media artist, this is just one more technique that can enhance art. Thank you so much for your demonstration. I will order the Modge Lodge Photo Transfer glue soon. I am so excited about the possibilities. I hope to share them here on my channel in the near future. I will make mention of your product. Thanks....🥰
awesome and yes - it is great for mixed media!!!
I love all this information that you'll gave us. Thank you Margie from San Antonio, Tx
Thanks so much@! :)
So does it make a mirror image? Ok….you answered this question too..I’m enjoying this
Thanks so much! Yes mirror image for any photos that have writing. :)
I’m going todo a memory quilt with the pictures thank you
awesome idea!!
I have a calendar that I want to use. I have no idea how it was printed. What should I do? Thx so much; I have soooo many fun ideas in my head now. You guys are THE BEST!!! ❤

I miss all the craft shows like that😪 Wish "they" would bring shows back like that. But Now i get to see and watch you here. I knew i recognized you two as soon as you started to talk👍😂 it's so nice to get to see you again! Thank you❤

It's so fun and I love how the results are. :)
I have always wanted to do this thank you so much.
You are welcome! Thanks. :)
Thank you it sure looks like fun!
What kind of paper do you use?
Thank you for this video!
No problem! I hope it was helpful! :)
Can I do it on a jean jacket I got
Can you also do the fabric one for like a memory quilt like a picture block for quilt?
First video on this looks pretty easy
Thanks so much! and Yes it is easy....just make sure you remove the paper in 3 stages.
Love this. Does this work on shoes? Canvas, vinyl or sneakers 👟?
Thanks a lot, great explanation!
Thanks so much!
I’ve tried this on balsa wood and the photos have a cloudy haze as they dry. Do you have a tip to prevent this?
I read that to transfer to glass, it's best to use Mod Podge "Image" as opposed to Mod Podge "Photo". It says that "photo" is just for wood, canas, terra cotta, metal and fabric. "Image" is all that plus glass, but cannot be used on fabric.
Great video, thank you! Question about photos from laser printer. Should I print out pics on photo sheets or copier paper from laser printer? I have a HP Laser Printer at home. I do not need to purchase transfer paper, correct?
😊 thank you so much...this is so easy...😊
Most welcome 😊
What do you all recommend to seal the canvas and or the wood..and if I did this on a t shirt how do I seal.it, as to prevent it coming off from washing...thanks for your time.
Where did you get the paint brushes? I just love the design, there cute. Thank you
They have them on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Mod-Podge-10615-Piece-Handle/dp/B0714G7Q42?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
Very nice projects 😊
If doing a picture onto a canvas, do we use a photo print or does that photo also have to printed on a laser printer?
I would also love to hear the reply to your question. Getting ready to try a transfer and was wondering the same thing 🤔
Can do it on canvas??
Can you transfer it onto glass? Thankyou for your video.
Thanks for sharing
:) Thanks!!
Do you recommend putting a clear sealant for longevity?
This was awesome, thank you!!!!
Thanks so much!
Can it be used on terry cloth, like a bath towel or the hand towel hanging on your stove?
Hi hope you are still answering questions, I was so excited to try this right up to the point you said no ironing. I am a quilter and want to transfer/glue a picture of my parents to the center of a memory quilt for the family (8 quilt’s all together). Not sure I can get this into a quilt without ironing, is there a way of settling the pic so an iron will not destroy the pic?
That is a good question... sadly I don't think this will work with ironing. Have you tried Iron-on transfers? I think Avery makes some.... they are at Staples.
Happy Friday
Thank you! Happy Friday to you!
Do I need to use photo paper with my photos?
if I get a picture from online can.i put it on anything without transfer just put on the picture
I would also love to know the answer to your question. Ordered images from Amazon they are printed onto thick paper great quality paper. Not sure about transferring onto canvas though 🤔
Can you do the pictures on a quilt like for a memory quilt? everything I’ve seen for the memory quilts is printed on transfer papers and then it’s ironed on and it’s a lot of work. This looks easier.
Would you sit something on top of the picture as it’s drying so not to buckle?
If one wants to start printing on fabric (t-shirts, bags etc) would it be better to get a cricut? ( Considering one has to go buy a laser printer, should one just buy a cricuit instead? That way one would be able to not just print on fabric, but make other cool stuff with the cricuit. In short, would a Cricuit do what a laser printer would do in term of getting a picture on a t-shirt or bag?
I'm about embark in my first Mod Podge project ever!!! I have a few questions. I have some photos I want to use that I had printed that's why I had them printed because that's what I wanted.😂 Please tell me it's possible to use them. I also want to put them on a peace of scrap wood. Is want I'm waiting and trying to do even possible? I sure hope so. This will be like a memorial will my 29 year-old son that was murdered in June of 2020. It's not just something new I'm trying to learn or just something to do to pass the time. Thanks for any and all tips and help. 😊
Can you put resin on top of the wood?
Hi can you photo transfer on to bamboo wood? Also can you paint the wood black and will the photo transfer show? Thanks
If you wanted to do the Grand Canyon on a wide chain saw blade, how would you add multiple photos (such as a panaramic view)?
Yes - you could also just do the regular Mod Podge with paper onto the saw. I did one years ago and it turned out pretty cool!
For a quilt you don’t wash it before you make it. Does that make a difference?
Happy Mod Podge Day!!!!
Thanks! Happy Crafting!
Can it be used on the wood cutting board on your counter?
super Thankyou
Can you add Mod Podge to *DARK* fabrics? For example, were the shirts you are wearing made using Mod Podge?
Yes you can......just make sure you are not using Mod Podge Photo Transfer. (not the transparent one)
@@HandmadeHappyHour, you said just make sure you are NOT using the Mod Podge Photo transfer (not the transparent) did you mean to make sure you ARE USING the Mod Podge Photo.? I was wondering if it could be done on darks so I was reading the comments to see if anyone asked this question. So there are there 2 different photo tranfer one reg and one transparent? Hoping you will see this and respond to clarify. Thank you
Yes for dark fabrics you want to use the original formula and not the transparent one. The original one forms a film and it will cover whatever print or color is behind it. The transparent does the opposite. @@sirrahinct471
Are you using regular copy paper for your photo transfer
So I have tried this on a tee shirt 2x and white sticks to the tee shirt and will just remove the picture if I rub too much. I am photo transfer modpoge. So what can I do? I want to complete a project for Christmas but am very frustrated. The paper used for the photo is a laser and I have even increased the thickness of the paper but it does the same thing. Help! Thank you,
I’m liking this and at 69 yrs old I have 4 month old Grand Baby Girl . I’d like to do something Memorable and Special . This excites me . I was thinking of glass or metal buckets Sophie can have Forever to remember me by . I’m new to this for sure .
Is there a special kind of paper you have to use.with the pictures
Hi can you use the photo transfer mod podge on water bottles that are metal or plastic?
I think that would be a bit tricky. It will work but I think using paper and Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge would work better. :)
Why did my photos once transfered to muslin fabric crease? Do I need to use a thicker cotton fabric?
Will it work on plexiglass? Could you make a photo panel for a ceiling light?
Would the image be as brilliant when transferred onto poly/cotton as 100% cotton? How must the image transfer on a t-shirt be washed?
Can I put fabric down first then add a picture on top of the fabric
Did you put the Mod Podge first on the canvas and then put the Sand On top of the Mod Podge ?
Can I do this photo transfer on a spray painted cube?
Yes that should be fine!
Thank you!
Can you wash out brush with water?
I followed your instructions to a "T" but after it dried for 24 hours, I noticed there were wrinkles down the middle of the collage photo. Not sure how this happened as I smoothed it out per your instructions using a brayer and there were no wrinkles when I left it for the evening. Is there a way to remove the wrinkle without damaging the photo?
Hi how are you doing I just subscribed to your iam watching your video right now you doing a great job
Thanks so much!! 🌸🌸
You're welcome
Can you transfer on any type of fabric like denim etc
Plenty of videos out there showing how to do this with an inkjet printer!
Can this be done on colored poster board
I don't think it will work on poster board. For poster board I would color copy the photos and attach with matte Mod Podge.
How hard are you pressing down to even the Modge Podge out??
I Want to make a wall collage with removable vinyl wall paper as the base. Can I use regular Modge Podge or do I need the transfer one? Can I even do it to vinyl wallpaper? This will be my first attempt with Modge Podge.
I have black and white pictures, can I do the same on a canvas and will I be be able to color it after it's dried.
Can it be used as a base for sublimation?
I’m not sure…. I haven’t tried that technique.
I've used a few techniques before. I had to paint my wood white if my photo had white in it as white doesn't transfer. Is that true with this process?
I tried this on an LL Bean canvas tote, following instructions to a T and it did not work :(
Would this technique work trafering photes to paper.
Can you do it with the modge podge transfer
Yes - that is the correct formula. :)
Can you transfer an image onto leather?
I have done it on a small keychain and it worked. It was a hard leather. I’m not sure about soft leather.
If I get a toner printer, do I get a color toner if I want my picture to be in color
hi can I mod podge picture from magazine, books on fabric
Can you photo transfer to a plastic cooler
Do we hv to varnish too after peeling off d paper frm d pic
can you do it on a marble type of surface? thank you
it would work....but for marble....I would use Furniture or hard coat Mod Podge and just use color copies of photos.
Do you have to print the photo as a mirror image
I don't know if anyone is going to read this a year later. But if anyone does 🙏 can you use modpod to photo transfer onto airdry clays? I've been thinking of doing this for a while. Any suggestions and advice
Thank you.🌻
Great video thx
I want to add a photo to my white subway tile in my kitchen
Can you use a sublimation print?
Can I use a EPSON 3830 printer for it ?
Do you have to use the photo mod podge? I have regular mod podge
Where do I get that mod podge?
I just tried doing mod pod from a picture onto wood let it dry for 24 hrs I did just what ya’ll did and my image rubbed off what did I do wrong did I not use enough med podge on picture
Di I need to use photo paper with my photos?
Is that photocopy is just normal paper or any other one
normal paper on a laser printer or what is cal a toner copier.
