  • Former Mayo Clinic pharmacist Dr. Connor Bowman is charged with murdering his wife, Betty Bowman, last August. Police say Bowman poisoned Betty with medicine he ordered online and then tried to cover his tracks. Detectives now say Bowman was calling himself a widower before Betty died. Law&Crime’s Angenette Levy looks at the newly revealed evidence with forensic death investigator Joseph Scott Morgan in this episode of Crime Fix - a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

That kind of relationship is doomed from the start and everyone in those kind of relationships might as well just be friends with benefits because they clearly don’t care about each other and one of them is bound to get an emotional attachment to someone else. Doesn’t make sense he felt the need to kill her. She had already agreed to an open relationship, probably wouldn’t have been catastrophic if he just decided to divorce her. She might have been open to the idea, and they didn’t have children, so a divorce would be relatively easy. The chances of getting caught for murder are so high, strange he thought he could get away with it. Wife dies from pharmaceutical drug, husband is a pharmacist…hmm real head-scratcher.

I don't get it. Why do women who think their husband might be poisoning them drink anything that their husband makes for them???? I wouldn't drink or eat anything that was made for me and I would have left immediately if I thought my husband was trying to kill me. I would not stick around!

    • @jadejada2260

That amazed me too. There was another case of a wife of a dentist who got suspicious too and faced the same unfortunate faith as in this one. Imagine not being able to immediately leave, I couldn’t consume anything in that household, let alone drink or eat from their hand.

How long were they married? Is it far stretched to believe that he was going for a life insurance benefit from the very beginning? Because I don’t understand the need of a marriage in times where people don’t get married at all and in order to maintain their lifestyle of being freely engaging with others they call it an open relationship. That’s not a relationship, lol

No, she was the one who told police about the funny tasting smoothie. They both only sipped the smoothie, and then Betty threw it out, so they didn’t get a lethal dose of it. Then some days later he made Betty another drink with Rum in it and apparently poisoned that. The friend was not there for that. She texted her male friend about the drink she drank though and said she felt unwell after drinking it.

I met a man recently he had his life together was a lot older so he was rushing into this relationship but I saw something strange
Asked him about his ex wife he just said he ‘killed her’ and his other ex he sent her to a mental hospital
Anyways he laughed hysterically and said he’s joking 🙃
Well I didn’t find that funny I made the mistake to spend the weekend in his house in the country side that he recently renovated so I went there to see the new place anyways
The whole time I had ti play cool but he was weird had cameras all over his house so when I’m outside he would watch through cameras and text me he was weird
His country house is lovely but I think he wanted to make me fall in love
He even joked about burying me if ever ran away in the country field it’s an off grid house 😮
My phone signal was very bad so I had ti be cool until he drove me back I didn’ sleep 🛌 I was on edge scared ti death
