It’s so beautifully composed…melody eternally awesome…. The kind of music I always loved… born in 73🇫🇷… it’s like my mind got stuck for ever with those songs… they still move me like any could do today… why my feelings only react with those rhymes…
My dad loved Glenn Campbell, and my dad could sing just like Glenn. My dad sang in his church choir but never had any musical training lessons. I guess it just came to him naturally. Of all things, my dad's career choice was to be a professional firefighter for the city we live in, in Pennsylvania. My dad recently passed on, and hearing Glenn Campbell's voice reminds me of my dad singing to my mom in the kitchen whenever their favorite songs would play on the kitchen radio. Ironically when dad passed away, I found him, laying on his couch, looking so peaceful. Nearby was his radio turned on and playing to his favorite Country Music station. RIP mom and dad, thank you for being with me and your four other sons for 60+ years...
That’s the way my precious Mom passed. Not so with Dad who passed 6 months after Mon but am grateful they made it home;they worked all their life in ministry and that was the goal. I miss them so forever.
I'm 61 years old and a Latino but I loved this song from the first time I heard it. Glen was a great artist. This song in particular takes me back to my youth. RIP Mr Campbell. Your music will live on forever in our hearts.
Carlos Cruz Me too ... I thank its because Country Singers have that Twang in their Voice that Echos Purity and a Soulfulness of an Angelic Beauty ... Thank you for the Music R.I.P G.Campbell
In 2000, I had a room service job at a casino and resort in Michigan. Glen had played there one night, and he had called down and placed an order post-concert. I was the lucky one who got to run the order up. His eldest daughter answered the suite door, and as I entered, I could hear Glen singing a gospel song somehwere. As I was getting ready to leave, Glen stepped out of the master bedroom, still singing. He saw me and gave me a broad smile.and continued singing. Great tipper, too!
58... Same... Music these days stinks, you gotta listen to the old stuff if you wanna listen to music, Glenn was the best... I always say, before we had George Straight, there was Glenn Campbell... One of the best guitar players that ever lived, on top of being an amazing vocalist...

This song is a bittersweet memory. I can see my parents still dancing to this song in the parlor of my childhood home. My mom played this song all the time. This month will be Father's Day and the 30th will make the 5th anniversary of my mom's death. We lost both our parents so this song has a special place in my heart

Whenever I listen this song I feel I am carried back to earlier years in my life, when I was young. A good song to hear so many years after being released, Glenn Campbell had real talent and his songs are still good to listen.
This song 🎶 bring back old memories, still listening in 2023 He have a soulful voice! This is my favorite song 🎶 so tell me are you a fan of Glen Campbell…?
I was seduced by the love of my life when he wrote me a letter saying I had been "gentle on his mind" since we met. Then our first time together after that letter (I was 800 miles away, in college), he took me to a hangout & put "Gentle on My Mind" on the juke box and asked me to dance! Who wouldn't have been overwhelmed?
I had the pleasure of of seeing Glen in concert in 1980 in Lake Tahoe. I was so close to the stage, I also got to shake his hand after the show Many thanks Glen for a lifetime of great music. Rest In Peace.
I'm the furthest thing from a country boy, but I still genuinely love this song. It's got a heartfelt honesty that I'm sure most of us can relate to. #BMXUltraGroup
I never get tired of this song and I will NEVER get tired of looking at his face. Thank God we have his music so we can enjoy what true and decent music sounds like.
Our late father loved Glen's music and was always whistling or singing his songs with that wonderful voice. Lost him in 2020 to the virus, now we hope he gets to meet his hero.... We love you both. Both in the arms of Angels.
I Missed him so, as soon as I heard. Thank You Glen Campbell for Your music that will live on thru all generations. And yet, I feel we were truly blessed, that You lived in Ours. 💟
Everytime you hear Glen the mind goes back to those years. Senior in HS & played his records until I wore them out. Beautiful music, good memories. Love ya, Glen. Sorely missed.
I have many wonderful memories with this song in the background. It reminds me of my dad who was big Glen Campbell fan. #RIPGlenCampbell you left wonderful music to world to bring joy and understanding to people.
When I was 12 or 13, the only decent thing on TV (3 channels) on Saturday night was The Glen Campbell Show. In retrospect I am so gratefull to have watched this remarkable entertainer. Nothing tops his duets with Bobby Gentry. Trust me, these weere special!
I agree I'm from around that age group when I became a fan of Mr Campbell. An Era when for us it was 3 channel and black and white screen only. I feel grateful too. His songs music touched or moved you. He made you feel warmth relaxed calming inspired motivated...plain and simple just good while going thru whatever you were during that time in your life. The world 🌎 needs more of that now. Make more joyful noise. RIP 🙏

"Para cuando llegue a Phoenix" excelente canción tan bien cantada que da gusto escuchar, tantos años después. En realidad Glen Campbell era un cantante especial y sus canciones me agradan todavía.
Just amazing to see a performer maintain his public persona as a good time entertainer but then slip so deeply into his song and its emotions, transporting himself and all of us to another realm, then come right back out.....I think he surprised himself where his singing took him....What a talent. Extraordinary. Hall of Fame? My God, of course. Are you kidding? He was also a key member of the Wrecking Crew. One of the top 10 guitarists admired by all who knew him.
Dear Lord, what a talent was Glen, making it all look so effortless, free & soulful. And then, his crystal clear guitar talent, which mesmerised so many class guitarists. He could find spaces to weave his magic, like no other could. How fortunate were we to be blessed to hear his beauty. ❤ Notice all those caught up in the hypnotic gift he cast.
As a young lad growing up in North East England I absolutely loved this song and can I also remember it being the end or the beginning of or both of the theme tune to introducing a radio 1 DJ ? Please confirm for me people…

Beautiful arrangement, exactly how it should be for a song like this.. easy and moody without overshadowing the melody
You can't say more about a singer who has the power to make you love a song you hate
He has such a beautiful magnetic voice and incredibly great looks.
A Classic!!!!!!.....................
First time I heard this I had to hold back tears ❤
It brings tears to my eyes.
A perfect voice and mad guitar skills. His music was the backdrop of my early childhood. I now play his album weekly and never tire of it.
