Just wondering if you have done a side-by-side comparison of the Gulp shrimp versus Gulp sandworms? Would be interesting to see which gets more hits when both are offered at the same time.
I am guessing so, just a bit to help maintain a bit if firmness on the hook. I just picked up two packs and have yet a chance to use them.
I will test them out soon.
Also wondering if you dry out the Gulp shrimp like you do with the sandworms?
I haven't dried them out yet like the sandworms. I will try that soon.
I dry mine. I also tend to do better with new penny in the winter
How do you prevent the hook lines from constantly wrapping around the main line? Mine do it all the time. Maybe my hook lines are too long?

Noticed you’ve jumped from the sandworm to the shrimp… are you noticing bigger bites with the bigger bait?
Haven't jumped. Just testing it out. Seems to work just as well. You get only 8 per pack with the shrimp where the sandworms you get 24 with the same price. I get the same size fish with sand shrimp and sandworms. Not noticing any difference. Perhaps they will start to separate once I fish the the shrimps long enough. For now, too early to say.
Does time of day matter as much as the tide when you are surf fishing?
Time of day doesn't matter. Tide is the main factor.
I bleed the surf perch asap and try to have a cooler with ice and get them on ice asap makes a huge difference in the firmness of the meat

"Natural". No, this was not my best. Not even close.
That reel needs some lubrication. It shouldn't be making all that noise. I used to use a white grease that made them velvet smooth and silent. Went through them every year. Clean them up and re-grease them.

i dont see how you use 12lb i have 20lb mono on and it still snaps sometimes when i cast usin a 2oz
Maybe slower action rod would help? Or maybe old/bad mono? I've changed the knot type I tied depending on the line(dropper loop vs Surgeon loop knot) helped me before.
@@gary-nw2bm ill have to check out the surgeon loop ive always used maxima mono with dropper loops but i do fling that line out as hard as i can tryin to get it out far
Just use mono all the way through you don't need to put a leader on there sometimes when you try to go from braid to mono it will snap the line when you set the hook perks you're not very picky just use mono all the way through
