Beardbrand Actually, you are Eric. the outer edges of your beard are always so polished looking and I really want a nice crisp edge to mine as well. My problem is that it seems I can comb it out, cut around the borders and repeat all day long and still there are those pesky, kinky hairs that like to poke out. Do you always groom it yourself or do you go to a barber for trims every so often? I'm kind of averted to the latter, I have major trust issues when it comes to other people dealing with my hair.
SpaceTimeBadass Surprisingly I'm really bad about trimming my beard regularly or going to the barber. I'll probably hit up a barber shop about once every 3 months and keep trimming at home to a minimal. For me it's all about how I use my brush and comb in the morning to get it to the shape that I want. Always going to have a few randoms poke out, but no big deal.
Beardbrand I'm only 2 weeks into my beard growing process, but I'm starting feel drawn to this community. Videos like this encourage me even more. Thank you for the dose of positivity this morning! Subbed/thumbs up.
You're the man Eric! Two years ago I decided to grow my mane and went to the internet in search of tips and products for maintaining it. I found you and BeardBrand. It's been a wonderful journey ever since. Keep up the good work brother!
Just that little bit of inspiration that I required today. Thanks mate. Woke up feeling not good about my beard today, and it's been about 3 and half months and didn't want to get rid it either. Thanks again
I know this is an old video for you, but its new to me. Thanks for all of the great information! You, sir, and the Beardbrand team, are an inspiration above and beyond the beard.
Eric u are an inspiration. On the positive side hit the yeard on aug 8th. Now for year two. Love the beard. The beard is here to stay. Grays and all. The hardest thing is people. Most like the beard. Others are always trying to get me to cut off. I so much dont want to cut off.
hey beardbrand. I commented last video about not knowing if I should I grow my beard out. well, I'm doing it and loving it. loving how it's growing, and to keep it on topic. there's some negatives. but the positives are outweighing.
Great video, Eric, and thanks for the shoutout to beardboard.com! It was finding beard-spiration there from guys like you who led me to where I am today, beardwise. Thank you!
start growing beard and hair because of you guys, my dad went bald and it makes sense to grow now incase I can't later. thank you for creating this channel and hope you have a good 2016. from that random geezer in england :)
for growing my hair out I would have to say you are my biggest inspiration and for when I'm a little bit older, my beard haha. but thank you for all of the kickass videos man, Beard on!
Thank you Eric! Once I started looking into my beard your videos and beard were part of my beardsperation. My first video of yours was a few years ago. I think it was eating with a beard. Then from there I was a subscriber. My first beardsperation was definitely my boss. At the time I only had a small beard around my mouth, and that was it. He said I should just keep at it. And I am glad I did. I'm moving onto my second year of my second full beard. It is well worth it. If you're renting, your land lord should pay for the upkeep, right? If you own, then that is awesome for someone your age. But either way, best of luck with the ants! Maybe their hill is hidden outside. If so, you might be able to find where they are coming in and seal it up. Then if you find their colony, you can pour a killer in/around it. (Or make a cool aluminium sculpture haha)
My goal is your beard. regardless of I can or can't, I'll be proud of what I have. Thank you beard brand for all your support. especially Keith, he's been there throughout my journey.
I've got them thin cheeks too Eric!! both you and Jeff are my beardsperation! thanx for all the cool tips tricks and advice! cheers to this 60k I will be here till the next milestone and beyond! thanx guys
Awesome inspiration! I'm like 2 months into my beard journey and its growing so thick! Brushing it daily, exercising and applying coconut oil is adding to results :D
Chris R Hell ya! Great to hear the beard is looking good. You are getting right into the fun stage where things really start doing weird things. Enjoy it!
Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter has been a great inspiration for beard growth & musicianship. When I discovered your channel two years ago, you inspired me to take on beard care & urban beardsman lifestyle.
I ain't got no beard probabbly because I'm 16 but i'm going for the Man Bun and you're videos help me go over the awkward stages! Thank you ! (i miss the "Beard on!" after every video) :D
Last time I had ants, I removed anything that would attracted them (sugary stuff, breatcrumbs), continually cleaned surfaces and moved ants individually (or as I got more skill in groups up to 3) outside using two postcards. It worked and I wasn't poisoning those animals or myself in the process. I think you can also approach looking at ants in another way: They're not transmitting any sort of disease; it's no biggy if they're in your appartement for a time. It's a living organism, just like some flower you have. It won't hurt you, and it lookes interesting. I think we're culturally biased; and parts of it are fears of insects which are in our genes (but shouldn't apply to harmless ants).
Add me to the list of people that you've helped. I've had a beard for 5 years now but it's always been a corporate beard. I've tried growing it out longer and just end up giving up after a while because if feels like it's too messy, or haggard. After seeing some of your videos it inspired me again. Your yeard video turned it from an interest to a project, something I wanted to have as a goal I could accomplish.
I like Caspar David Friedrich's Mutton Chops. He was a German Painter of the Romantic and beside his awesome paintings, he had a badass beard :P.But i don't think i'll ever be able to grow such awesome Mutton Chops when i look at the Men in my family. All of them tend to have their strongest beard growth in areas like chin, neck and mustache.I think when my beard is fully developed i can rock an awesome Imperial style mustache, which i also love!Thank you for your awesome videos!
I was so caught up on the little growth I have on my cheeks and I wasn't appreciating the awesome stuff. In my case the awesome thing would be that my neckline stops right before my Adam's apple and I don't have to clean it up
I wish I saw this video a week ago, because I just cut 6+ inches off my head hair. I kept the top grown out to chin length, but the sides and back are shaved off. I already miss it and am determined to grow it back out.
Hey Eric! I'm a new subscriber. I have been watching your channel for almost a year now and I love it. I need some advice. I would love to have a beard as long as yours but I never make it past 6 weeks. The reason why is, around this time my mustache starts curling into my mouth in the corners and it drives me NUTS! Do you have any tips to help me get past this phase? Thanks for your time, and I definitely plan on purchasing products from Beardbrand.
Actually, part of my original inspiration in starting my current hair growth journey over a year ago was a picture of Kurt Cobain with collar-length hair. Now my hair is past collar-length and nearing shoulder-length and I've decided to let it grow to waist-length.
Regarding the ant problem: Boric acid mixed with sugar and water. It should form a jello like substance, put small speck of it on pieces of paper everywhere where there is an ant activity. Best way to get rid of any kind of home bug infestation, except roaches.
Always been curious, in the opening are you saying "Footballs going well on the other side of the internet" or asking "Hope all's going well on the other side of the internet"?
Not related to the video but i have a question and i really dont know who else to ask. Im starting to grow out my hair , i have thick wavy hair and i had side fades , i haven't had a haircut in about 2 months and its starting to get long and i want to let it grow to my shoulders, long journey but i will try . Right now i use the American crew shampoo 3 in 1 once a day or so and i condition right after. What are some tips you would give me for growing it out and taking care of my hair ? ps. I blow dry my hair everytime i take a shower so i can style it .. is that bad ?
everytime i grow my hair i cant find a good look for it. it always looks like justin biebers old hair and when its not like that any other hair style i do i wont stay it just all falls apart and does not sit right. can you give me some advice
juan cruz Hernandez Cvetic There are a few out there on the internet, but the best part is playing around and formulating your own blend. Here's a list of essential oils: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_essential_oils And a list of carrier oils: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrier_oil (Be sure you are buying cold pressed products)
Beardbrand thanks for your answer! Unfortunately, i can't buy anything on the internet, due to restrictions put by the government. Also, what do you mean about cold pressed products?
juan cruz Hernandez Cvetic Cold pressing is simply a manufacturing technique that produces the oils. It leaves a lot of natural benefits in the oil left in the oil; rather than expeller pressed process. It's the stuff you want to use in beard oils.
I have some questions Eric, if you can please give me your email id appreciate it, I'm about a month in my beard growth. I have purchased some beard oil, combs and balm from you and they are great!
Need inspiration / pictures of men with shaved heads and beards. Urban Beardsman has great shots, but every guy has a full head of hair! Any suggestions?
I startet growing my hair out approx one year ago, and now that they are getting to a decent looking lenght, they startet to thin a lot and fall out. And it's driving me crazy to the point, that I just can't think about anything else. I don't want to cut them, but I maybe have to, if it get's even worse. Looking at the pictures, that inspired me to grow my hair out only makes me feel disappointed. What should I do?
Tim Str. You know shedding is more noticeable when your hair gets longer. You have 100k hairs on your head, so seeing a few a day is normal part of having long hair. If you are really worried about it, your best bet is to head to your dermatologist and he can help with solutions for balding/thinning hair.
Hey thank you so much I struggle with how thin my mustache is and I get a lot of crap from my parents and peers about it and I've only been growing it out now for about 3 almost 4 months now... would you recommend I trim down my beard to match my mustache?
Justin Schwimmer What do you think you should do? There is no right or wrong to growing a beard; simply what you want and what you think is the best. But I always like to say, "when in doubt, grow it out."
Fire Ants.... they are really kool, i like ants in general as they are such clever little bugs. One negative thing that happened to be was burning my beard as i tried to light a roll up! a few hairs got burnt luckily! Focus on the positive as you say! your beard and tache are looking excellent, colour looks crisp also!
Your previous style on the photo was pretty awful man, I'm glad you got the nerve to change and inspired so many people, including me! Good luck finishing the house moving (those boxes aren't going to unpack themselves!)
I've got them thin cheeks too Eric!! both you and Jeff are my beardsperation! thanx for all the cool tips tricks and advice! cheers to this 60k I will be here till the next milestone and beyond! thanx guys

Loving the BeardBoard shoutout, I've spent the past year and a half meeting a bunch of awesome folks there. It's a really great community!
Who is your beardspiration, and be sure to catch me on Periscope as I talk about this video (@bandholz).

Nicholas Gundy Oh man, Ryan's got a great beard. Really pulls off the metal look well. I wish I had natural musical talent.
He doesn't have a big one now, but his longest length is what I'm aiming for.

Hello Eric! Love the channel AND the beard! :)
Weird question.. how tall are you?

R McShan, I'm in Austin, TX and those little biting buggars certainly are fire ants. :D
Regarding the ant problem: Boric acid mixed with sugar and water. It should form a jello like substance, put small speck of it on pieces of paper everywhere where there is an ant activity. Best way to get rid of any kind of home bug infestation, except roaches.
Your the inspiration man!
Thanks for sharing, helped me through my beardpanic! :)
Thank you eric for your words!
Awesome channel!
Beard on!
Alex Soroko Woo! Happy to share and thanks for the great comments.

Jane Doe Thank you! It's still a work in progress; but it's definitely better than it was in the past. Love improving.

Hey! great channel btw. I live in Argentina and it's hard to get balms and oils specifically for beards, is there a diy recipe you could ease me up?

Great stache too, mate! Many guys can grow the great beard, but the stache pales into insignificance. You've got both. Well done!
Gaius
And I sent your yeard video to one of my friends and it inspired him to grow a yeard.
Mack Pearson Hell ya, that is so awesome to hear! Tell him that I wish him good luck with his journey.
You look better with the beard bro it's cool bro I would like to have mine like that! 😁

Shafir Iqbal Haha, I have heard many smoking accidents similar to yours. Another risk in smoking - burning beard hairs.
It would be very time consuming, but I would like to see a video of you interviewing random bearded guys as you pass them in the streets
Curt That's a good idea. Gotta find me a cameraman to help with that one. Would be fun.
excellent 😊
Your previous style on the photo was pretty awful man, I'm glad you got the nerve to change and inspired so many people, including me!
Good luck finishing the house moving (those boxes aren't going to unpack themselves!)
