The plant pot isn’t a peony it’s a chrysanthemum and those pots were marketed by M&S in the early 80’s so it’s around 40 years old 😊. Lovely selection of Hoyas, I have over 40 now (slippery slope) and the Heuschkeliana Variegata is my all time favourite, the Bella is a lovely bloomer with pretty flowers and a delicate floral scent. You mentioned about the humidity, some Hoyas aren’t bothered but a lot are, really depends where they originate from.
Oh my goodness that is so cool! Thanks so much for the info, I love stuff like that 😄 Aw thank you, I agree love the variegated heuschkeliana so much 😍 Wow that’s awesome, I bet you’ve got some really cool species! Yes that’s definitely a factor as well
I have a super silver in ambient humidity, usually high 40s to mid 50s and it actually does well. I got it a couple months ago and it’s recently been putting out new growth.
Yay that’s amazing! In my experience some plants can adapt to live in different conditions than they typically would, for example I have some a fern that struggled at first with dry conditions but after having time to adapt it now thrives in low humidity 😄
Ooh yes the linearis is so stunning! I was looking at them the other day funnily enough, would love a big trailing one 😍 ahaha don’t worry, I can’t even say half of them 🙈😂 yes would 100% recommend, it’s so pretty!
Hi, how do you deal with pests on hoyas? I am on the constant lookout for mealybugs and my Chelsea Hoya seems to be producing them🫣... I usually spray ( more soak!) the plant in a mealybug killer but the creatures think it's shower time and bask in it Help😔!
Oh no, what product were you using on them? The best thing for mealies is isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab, saturate it then hold it over a mealybug and apply a bit of pressure and it will dissolve it. It takes a while but it’s affective! Also you can dilute it and spray it directly on the plant if it’s totally infested, but some sensitive plants can be damaged/burnt if it’s too strong e.g. Calathea. Hope this is helpful! 😄 Good luck 🤞

Lovely Hoyas ❤slip your small plastic pot in a clay pot. Really helps keep them from going topsy turvy 😊
