Guys I heard some stories on 2012 wide glide that they have many issues especially electrical is that true? . Someone is trying to sell 2012 for 7k and it's kinda suspicious because of that low price. And I don't know anything about motorcycles I just want to buy my first bike and I like this wide glide but I don't want to end up with a broken junk in my garage.

I have a DWG just like yours with a 12" ape but with short risers and was considering something taller but keeping wiring original.

Almost all Austrian bikers show solidarity and boycott the entire Tyrol....and many German bikers join.✌
Hell is going on here in Germany at the moment.
The government wants to ban motorcycles on weekends. That's why there were big demonstrations in many cities yesterday. Munich had banned a demonstration, but several thousand bikers set off anyway💪

Hi, the lid was already installed when I bought it. Chrome-plated lids are very expensive. You might find a used one on Ebay.

I have a 2006 and its my favorite bike of mine. It takes me back to my stingray bike I had as a kid. What I love about them and it hits on all points. Great Video. I have an easy rider poster as well. Capt America is my first love..Ok so tell me what is that bag you have on yours and where did you get it?

Those wheels are hideous!! Wide Glides definitely look better with old school spokes!

Ja Moin, die Sissy war schon verbaut als ich sie gekauft habe. Meine Frau liebt sie auch, weil sie auch ohne Polster 'ne gute Rückenlehne abgibt und schick aussieht. Ab Sitzpolster ist sie 40 cm hoch, auch perfekt für's Gepäck👍

The 21" rim has the original H-D imprint and it says "CASTALLOY" engraved on it. I can't say more because they were installed in 2013.

First, great video! "Old School " yes keep it that way! I bought this bike this year at 61 and it takes 30+ years off my life when I ride it , Lol. What hanle Bars do you have? I am 6' 4"/235 lbs and would like to get some taller bars. The stock ones just feel to low and short.

For longer tours I stuff my backpack full and then I have a comfortable backrest.
I also only bought the Wide Glide last year after I rode my USA tour ... it had to be I couldn't help it.

Hey! Not that you care. Haf a friend of mine do a semi cholo bike right? The tool bag at thr handlebars? Took some abs pipe. Fitted it with speakers and threw in a bluetooth head unit in the middle facing him through the bars. Wrapped it with a mexican blanket. Shit cool as hell. Your bag, if you choose, could be a nice little under cover tune pouch. Anyway, enjoyed the vid. Nice bike. On the flip side brother.

Where did you get the tool bag on the handlebars? and also the rear saddle bags?
I discovered the tool roll on the handlebar by chance on ebay. It's very old, from the 50s.

Chatalyst is where the two exaust are near, before terminals. So you have to cut that point after and before and replace it with two tubes
Love the "cowbell". Cant stand the bullshit horn cover. Got one on mine. Gonna figure something out. Hand polishing Mr. lower forks now. I got a wide. Love the bike. 02 lowrider with apes and whitewalls and shield. Carburetor bike. Love it. 57 ironhead. 9 foot wheelbase with a springer. That ones a mans bike. Mag. Dont start on the first kick cold. Sometimes not on the 29th. Gotta have a leg like a punter in football or like a fiddler crab where I come from. I can outrun most people on my right leg alone. Love the vid. Goid music. Golf cart garage was put to better use and noticed the tile you rolled it across. You aint broke. You didnt pretend to be with the fucking fancy coffee. Two wheels forever my friend. It crosses more barriers than religion and politics.
my lower forks are powder coated, but i know the triple tree has areas that are the same billet type metal.. Im curious as to what you use to polish ?

The carburetor engines still sound the best and coolest... you can still hear why they say gallop or ride.
@@fahrradhansi I believe so too. Although I bought my 95 because it was what fit my budget, I also did so because the Evo engine was one of the best and the carburetor is easy to repair or replace. Fuel injection is superior in some ways, but also more advanced and difficult to work on while at the same time being more expensive.
